"Are you ok?"
The sounds must have spooked Buck, who jumps a little.
"Yeah, Rav, all good," he smiles yet is back to bitting his cuticle, that has pink color on it from Theo's recent fixation on doing people's nails.
"Then why you look at the phone as if it offended you?"
"It's nothing," Buck says again, pouting his lips texting something, then deleting.
"Spill, man. I thought we're besties now."
Buck looks at him reevaluating, then around the empty in the late evening, basically night loft, then at him.
"I, uh, reconciled with Tommy recently. Theo wanted ice cream that was in stock only near Tommy's house. And —"
"Of coursez he was in the shop too."
Buck nods.
"L-long story short, he asked about Theo, I asked him for dinner with us and we had some meetings. The three of us," Buck blushes, "last night he kissed me, after we put Theo for a bed and we talked about … us. We should have had real date tomorrow night, but," Buck sighs, dropping his head on the back of the couch, "my babysitter is sick."
"Why not ask someone?"
"Don't want to talk about Tommy yet. And they will ask," Buck takes his phone again. "I'll just ask Tommy to raincheck."
"I can babysit," Ravi offers.
"Don't you have better plans for you day off? Date with May?"
Ravi shrugs, "she would like to come with me. She likes Theo. But I just really want to help you and Tommy. I kind of invested in your story, remember?"
Buck smiles at him, "yeah, uh, you are. Still, Theo can be handful. I don't want to make you uncomfortable."
"Buck, I did spend time with Theo and adult enough to know when and what I can offer. You helped me a lot since I joined. I can babysit once. Might get nails done for free."
That gets Buck to laugh, "he, uh, actually got better. Still has some problems with cuticle, but he's working on it."
"I'll rock that hot pink better than you."
"I'm pretty sure he'll choose something orange for you. He likes to call you Mr. Orange 'cause you always smell citrus near him."
"Nothing wrong in knowing your best suiting perfume."
Buck smiles, "ok, if you're actually fine with it —"
"I am."
"Then help me find a good place to take Tommy to. I-I can't decide between these three."
