I sat at the table, looking at my cards. This should be easy. I mean, who would dare call bull on me, the magnificent, stupendous chief of the Yiga Clan, Master Kohga? Sooga, my ever so loyal Right Hand, was sitting next to me, staring at his cards.
"Who wants to start with the ace?" Testu asked.
"I'll start. One ace." Ruan said, pulling out a card and laying it facedown. Sooga pulled out two cards.
"Two twos." He said, laying them down. I glanced at my cards. I didn't't have any threes. I grabbed a five, laying it down.
"One three." I said confidently.
"Bull." Someone said. Sooga. My own Right Hand had called bull. ON ME! he flipped the card I landed down, revealing the five, then slid the pile of cards towards me. I quietly took them. Treachery.
"Two fours." Testu said, laying down two cards.
"One five" Ruan said, laying down his card. Sooga laid down a six, and I glanced at my cards. No sevens. Sooga wouldn't catch me again. I grabbed the ace I now had, and laid it down.
"One seven." I said confidently.
"Bull." Sooga said. I glared at him as he flipped my card over, showing the ace. he slid the pile towards me again.
"This is treachery! Bullying!" I yelled.
"It's a game." Sooga calmly said. Ruan and Testu both glanced at each other, and Testu pulled out two cards, laying them down.
"Two eights." He said.
"Bull!" Ruan yelled, flipping them over to reveal... two eights. He quietly took the cards, then laid one down.
"One nine." He said, sulking.
"Two tens." Sooga said, laying two cards down.
"Bull!" I yelled, since I had two tens, and there was no way he had the other two. I flipped the cards over... revealing two tens. I quietly took the two tens and nine.
"You're cheating. One jack." I muttered, laying down a jack.
"I am no cheater." Sooga quietly said. Testu laid down a queen, and Ruan laid down three kings. But I had two kings, and there was only four kings total.
"Bull." I said, smiling behind my mask. I flipped the cards over, revealing a three, an eight, and a six. Ruan quietly took the cards.
"Good catch, Master Kohga." Sooga murmured, then laid down his last card.
"One ace." He said.
"Bull!" Testu yelled, flipping over the card... to reveal an ace. Sooga got to his feet.
"I win." He said, turning to leave.
"You're not going to play again?" I asked.
"No, Master Kohga. It is late." He replied, and quietly left the room. Hpm. He was lucky I was going easy on him, otherwise he would have lost.
