The bell chimed out as Kevin stepped into the quaint little coffee shop.
“This is like every Hallmark movie Kev,” Logan muttered under his breath as he stepped into the shop following his partner.
Kevin giggled a bit at his comment and pulled him over to a booth. Before sitting down they kissed him on the head.
Logan and Kevin had already had a debate on what to order on the way there but Logan was not having any of Kevin’s ‘sweets’ business.
“Logan, I’m telling you, chocolate muffins are so good!!”
“Maybe, but I would say that black coffee is the best option. It is a coffee shop.”
“Yeah but nobody actually gets real coffee at a coffee shop! They just get a Carmel Macchiato or something like that!”
Eventually, Kevin ended up getting tea and a chocolate muffin and Logan got his black coffee.
They talked for a while until Kevin had drank all their tea, and convinced Logan to eat some of their chocolate muffin.
Kevin giggled slightly, making Logan look up, concerned.
“Kev, what are you laughing about?”
Kevin looked up suddenly tears welling in their eyes.
“I mean it’s just that, a few months ago we would have been fighting a new bad guy or something! And now we’re just sitting here ordering coffee like it’s some normal thing we do every Tuesday!”
“Kevin, hun, what do you mean fighting a new bad guy?”
Kevin startled back, confused.
“You know, for Xavier!?” Kevin responded, confused at their partners words.
Suddenly Logan’s face contorted, shifting into Mister Sinister.
“Oh Morph, you thought you could escape? What a pathetic being.”
Morph was frozen in fear. Their body trembling at the sudden sight of Sinister.
“You’ll never escape.”
Sinister disappeared along with everything else leaving Morph in a dark abyss.
Morph cried out, pulling their bedsheets closer to them and whimpering. They looked around their room in the mansion. They had escaped, but they had definitely not pulled Wolverine. They sighed dropping back onto their bed and trying to fall back asleep.
