Chapter Text

It was one day before Aubrey’s birthday, sneaking back into the house wasn’t a challenge most days.

As mother was never awake or sober enough to realize she even left the house.

But today was different.

Aubrey opened the window in the kitchen and pulled herself up to it and hoisted herself inside the kitchen, where her mother was opening the fridge pulling out more beer.

Aubrey’s breathing stilled, if her mother looked behind her now she would get screamed at!

Aubrey’s mother then left the kitchen opening the beer bottle and taking a long sip.

Aubrey sneakily fully pulled herself all the way inside of the house and closed the window again.

“Aubrey. “ her mother called out to her.

“Hmm, yeah?” Crap! Did her mom know she snuck out again?

“Whose house do you live in again?” her tone was threatening, cold and very uncomfortable to be the one who the voice was directed at.

“Y-yours?” Aubrey answered questionably.

“That’s right, so why the fuck isn’t anything fucking picked up!?” she yelled wildly, throwing the bottle into the kitchen, where it smashed into hundreds of tiny shards of glass and the smell of beer overpowered the small room.

“...”

Then the sound of someone getting off the couch had followed and soon the fast steps of her mother.

“Tell me why the fuck anything isn’t picked up Aubergine fucking williams!!”

her mother towered over her, along with a loud smack noise that had filled the small room.

“Pick this fucking pigsty of a house up right now, you fucking bitch!”

Aubrey had wanted to cry the smack hurt, sure but the fact her mother just couldn't care for her.

“You live under my roof, Aubrey, which means you follow my rules and do what to do when I tell you.”

The rest of her night was spent cleaning up the abundance of messes inside the house.
