Work Text:
A deep sigh left you as you shifted on the bed, a searing heat pressed against your front, your body still muddled with sleep.
Something felt… off.
Your body felt wrong. Your arms were too bulky, your chest too wide, your temperature too cold. Whatever was on top of you felt tiny, delicate, soft and far too warm.
Your brows furrowed as your brain struggled to catch up with your dulled senses. Everything felt sharper somehow—too aware, too alert. You let out a small grunt, only to freeze at the deep timbre of it.
That was… definitely not you.
Your eyes slowly cracked open, your vision beginning to clear as you took in your surroundings.
You quickly assessed everything and came to a few conclusions.
You were in your room.
You were not on your side of the bed.
And you were definitely not in your own body.
Your eyes flicked down to the warm figure sprawled across your (?) chest, and you blinked at the sight of… yourself?
You blinked a few times, trying to figure out if your vision was failing you or if this was just some bizarre dream. You’d had a few of those before, it wouldn’t be uncommon.
Yet the same view remained.
You took a deep breath, exhaling slowly as your brain finally began to catch up, the realization settling in that something was definitely wrong.
As you exhaled, a cloud of frost left your lips.
You froze.
Your thoughts started racing.
Wait.
Frost?
You quickly looked down at yourself and winced as recognition hit.
Of course.
You were in Bi-Han’s body.
You—your actual body, rather—shifted, a low mumble leaving, brows furrowed briefly before going still.
“…What is the meaning of this?” came your familiar, feminine voice.
You sighed again, sending a mental prayer to whoever had caused this predicament. Bi-Han slowly lifted his head, turning to face you, a murderous glint in his eyes.
“…Damn… I look scary,” you mused, chuckling lowly.
“Why are you in my body?” Bi-Han demanded.
You shrugged before wrapping your arms tightly around him, deciding to take full advantage of the situation.
He couldn’t escape morning snuggles if he was currently weaker than you, you thought smugly.
“Seems something has caused us to swap bodies,” you offered unhelpfully, grinning down at him as he began struggling against your hold.
He glared up at you, a deep frown marring his—your—features as he tried even harder to break free.
“Let me go. And do not look at me like that,” he growled.
“Like whaaat?” you teased.
“You look stupid,” he huffed.
You pouted at him. “Now that’s mean. You shouldn’t be insulting yourself like that, dear.”
“Let. Go,” he glared again.
“Mmm… kiss,” you demanded.
He stared at you in disbelief. “I am not kissing myself.”
“Then you’re not getting up,” you put simply.
He struggled again, grunting as you only tightened your hold, low curses slipping from his lips.
“You know you’re not getting out. You know you’re stronger than me on a bad day,” you chuckled.
He let out a sharp groan before going still, a frustrated huff leaving him as he tilted his head up toward you.
You smiled softly before leaning down and pressing a gentle kiss to his lips, humming at how soft they were. Your arms loosened, your hands drifting to rest against his waist as you deepened the kiss slightly.
He allowed it for a few more moments before swiftly slipping from your grasp, standing at the foot of the bed and glaring down at you.
You whined, sitting up and pouting at him. “Oh, come on. We were having such a nice time.”
He eyed you for a moment before sighing, running a hand through his hair. “We need to figure out what we’re going to do.”
“Uhh… go about our day?” you replied sarcastically.
“Absolutely not,” he shot you another glare. “I will not have you walking around in my body and smiling at others the way you are now.”
You smirked at him. “Why not?”
“Because I said so.” He crossed his arms.
“It’s because you look weird doing it, don’t you?” you laughed.
He turned his back to you with a huff.
“I’m gonna go out there and smile at everyone, and tell them very, very nice things. Hell, I think I’ll even go up to your brothers and give them a big ol’ hug,” you grinned.
He slowly turned back around, staring you down with a blank expression.
“Damn… I see the appeal. I’m hot,” you admitted jokingly.
He let out a sigh and dragged a hand down his face. “This will not be an easy day.”
You chuckled before standing and wrapping your arms around him, watching him shiver as goosebumps rose along his skin.
“It’ll be fine, love. I’ll make sure everything is in order—and I’ll even maintain your image,” you teased softly, attempting to reassure him.
He hummed before nodding, leaning into your hold for a brief moment before pulling away.
“You should learn to control my powers before you go out and about.”
You blinked at him, confused.
“It wouldn’t be ideal to accidentally trap yourself in ice,” he shrugged, stepping into the bathroom to get ready for the day.
“…I can get stuck if I don’t control your powers?” you gawked, staring down at your hands as they had already begun to frost over slightly.
You swore under your breath, letting out an annoyed grunt as you followed Bi-Han toward the now steaming bathroom, only to immediately flinch at the heat and retreat.
“…No wonder he hates hot water,” you muttered.
Today was definitely going to be a long day.
