you're in a sleepy haze, half asleep but still awake slightly.
an ethereal women floats over to your bed,
she leans over you, her essence makes you feel so safe and calm.
she beckons you to her with her hand, inviting you ever so dearly.
still in your haze, you can only just manage to speculate her appearance; her raven hair dances in the slight breeze from the window, her brown eyes pulling you in to her gaze, captivating you like you're her prey, and her skin has an almost deceased colour to it.
you have just enough strength to take her outstretched hand, she drags you gently to a cold and dark place where you cant see anything.
her hand is no longer with yours and you panic; you're all alone as your whole body trembles in fear and you find yourself calling for that angel, like a lost kitten in search for its mother, like you couldn't survive without her being by your side.
you wail and kick and scream out, wondering if she has abandoned you. you start to weep.
then you feel a comforting hand on your shoulder.
"come to me, i'll take care of you, protect you"
before you can turn your head you are already bundled up in the angels arms.
you are so glad to feel her touch again you could almost cry.
she sings,
"you're exhausted, come lie down.."
cuddling and clenching the soft fabric of her dress, you lay there as she cradles you like a newborn baby.
you feel her start to float away like before, but all you care about is being stuck to her, you dont want to lose her again.
as she moves she carries on singing,
"you know that i adore you..
you know that i love you.."
after savouring the warm feeling of her chest against your cheek, you quickly find her gone again.
only this time you're stuck in a tall apartment. the strong smell of smoke pollutes your nostrils, almost enough to jolt you back awake again.
still, you try to ignore it and look for an exit on the floor you are stuck in.
the air around you starts to feel warmer and warmer till it becomes unbearable.
after roaming through empty flats for about 5 minutes, you find an open window. only theres bushes of flames and thick smoke surrounding it.
'there has to be another way out, right?' ,you think to yourself.
but with no luck you find that there's only one window on the whole floor.
the flames are spreading fast, and you need you need to make a decision fast.
you decide to carefully make your way through to window, dodging the burning hot obstacles and wafting the smoke away from your face.
as you approach the window you realise that there is no glass or frame, just and open hole in the wall, but upon inspection you find the angel outside with her arms out.
shes still singing to you, though she had just left you endangered,
"jump off, your buildings on fire
and ill catch you, ill catch you..
destroy all that is keeping you down"
her words are so dangerously intimidating, her affection only reeling you in more.
either way you have no choice, and so you jump, unsure if you will make it to her arms or not.
fortunately, you do and she cradles you yet again as you land onto her.
its almost as if none of that had just happened, because now you're in her arms.
and now you're safe again.
she begins to float back to your bedroom at home.
you clench her tighter towards you just in case she disappears again.
"you know that i adore you..
you know that i love you.."
her voice lulls you back into the trance from the beginning of this weird dream.
she reaches your house and brings you back to your bed, laying you back down as she continues,
"so don't make me say it,
it will burst the bubble..
break the charm..."
you watch her in awe, her dark hair almost swallowing her face whole.
before leaving she leaves a small kiss on your lips as a forget-me-not.
this lovely haze was interrupted suddenly by being jolted awake from your alarm.
she was gone.
the bright sky from your window shone into your eyes as you tried to comprehend what just happened.
the loud alarm screamed at you as if you wasn't already awake.
