Agott didn't like this and simply didn't want to spend more time with Coco. Her heart beats faster whenever she's around her roommate, for some reason. But master qifrey had said that today's lesson would be about how to work in teams. So he made her and Coco work together, just as he did with Tetia and Richeh.
“Ok girls, today's lesson is about teamwork, as you already know but I want to give you the specifics,” master Qifrey said in an excited voice. “Agott and Coco, your teamwork will focus on communication, I want you both to mix your own skill sets. Coco with your ideas and creativity and agott with your neatness and focus.” Okay, maybe she did want to do this. Regardless of the heart thing. Agott thought
“Richeh and Titia. I want you girls to try to mix Richeh’s skill with connecting a bunch of little spells together and a big
Spell together, sound good everyone?”
All four apprentices including herself nodded and got to work.
“Oh wait I forgot something,” she and her fellow apprentices turned to look at their cheerful teacher. “I will be voting on what spell I like the most. So think of it as a little competition everyone!”
Oh, now she really wanted to do this, regardless of the heart thing…again. She thought to herself. Then she turned to Coco.
“So Coco what spell should we draw?”
Coco looked zoned out but quickly snapped back at the person talking to her. “Huh?”
“Do you have any ideas for a spell we should draw?” Agott said, a little annoyed that she had to repeat herself.
“Oh, well what’s your favorite element?”
“Fire, why?”
“Great! Mines wind, I was thinking we could mix them together and make a mix some pretty animals dancing!” Coco said with that amazing smile of hers that made her heart clench…why?
But back to the main subject that wasn’t a bad idea. Agott thought.
“That’s, not a bad idea. Let’s do it.” She said with a little too much confidence.
“Ok!” Coco stood up and got the necessary materials. Coco said she should be the one to offer suggestions while Agott would draw the spell. So she did just that while Coco was giving her more ideas to add to the spell.
They spent the next thirty minutes like that. She finished drawing the spell right before Qifrey walked into the room.
“Times up!” He said. “Both teams will present their spells at the same time.”
So she and the other three apprentices stood from their spots and walked over to their teacher ready to present their spells.
Qifrey smiled at his apprentices and said, “ready?” They all nodded. “Ok.”
“Three,”
“Two,”
“One!”
Both teams closed the circles on their spells revealing the spells both the teams made. But to their surprise…they made the same spell?
Well to be fair Tetia and Richeh had different animals in their spell but they had the same idea.
Qifrey looked surprised but he burst out laughing a second later.
“Amazing! Both teams win!” Her said
Agott wanted to argue but she was stopped when she saw Coco smile that beautiful smile that made her heart explode.
She was staring, wasn’t she?
Qifrey smiled at this and sighed
“Young love.”
“Agotta agree.” Richeh said.
