Chapter Text
Finally the plane landed in Texas. Even though the flight was as three hours, I was exhausted (mainly bored). I was also a little mad at my boyfriend.
I had booked the flight tickets and managed to convince him to not send a private jet. But after reaching the airport I was told I had been upgraded to business class. (I will admit tho, it was a nice experience.)
Once I had gone through security and got my bags, I called Grayson to ask him where he was. He had said that he will come to pick me up at the airport.
"Hello? Grayson?" I said when he picked up.
"Hi sweetheart," he replied, "where are you?" The sound of his smooth voice gave me a feeling of happiness.
"I'm at the main gate of the airport, where are you? Should I go outside?" I asked. "No need, found you," he answered.
Confused, I turned around to see if I could find him too. Just as I was about to give up I saw him coming up towards me, walking a little quicker than his usual 'I mean business' walk. Smiling, I ran to him and wrapping my arms around his neck, I kissed him.
"I missed you so much!" I exclaimed as we broke apart. "Not as much as I missed you," he stated, "I missed you every moment of every day." That was a small confession but it meant a lot coming from the man who seldom shows his feelings, let alone say things like that.
"Yeah, well, I'll admit I didn't miss you that much. I had a lot on my mind y'know," I teased him. "A lot as in?" Grayson inquired raising a brow.
"All of my classes and college work. It is quite a lot actually. You should be glad that I remembered to call you after all that." Grayson simply smiled and went toward my bags, "I'll get these in the car."
5 minutes later I was sitting in the passenger seat of a Rolls-Royce and we were of to the Hawthorne House.
"My brother would lose it when I tell him I sat in a Rolls-Royce." I muse as we drive. "Why would he?" Grayson asked. "Both him and my father like cars, and not everyone has a hella rich boyfriend who comes to pick them up from the airport in a Rolls-Royce." I remarked.
"Speaking of which, when did you tell your parents about us?'' Grayson queried. "Day before yesterday,'' I casually responded, "It wasn't how I expected the conversation to go. Then again, it wasn't much of a conversation to be honest." I add. "What happened?" he asked.
"Nothing much. I called Papa and sort of just told him that you and I have been dating since last year and that you have invited me to your place and I asked him if I could stay there instead of at my aunt's place and he just said 'That's great; of course you can' and then I asked him to tell Mummy." I blurted.
"So all in all it was alright?" he suggested. "Yeah, I guess you could say that.'' I assured.
"Well, that's your family's thoughts; now you're gonna meet my brothers,'' he cautioned, "And they are quite.....eager to meet you. I honestly think Jamie doesn't believe you exist, the way he mockingly looked at me when I told the others that you're going to come stay yesterday.''
"Great, I can't wait to prove that I do, in fact, exist," I beamed.
Grayson chuckled and jerked his head towards something. My jaw dropped at the sight. Grayson had told me that the Hawthorne House was big, but this? This is not big, it is humongous.
Even the Ambanis would be jealous of the estate. When I turned to look at him, Gray had an amused expression on his face; probably because of my reaction.
"So, sweetheart, ready to meet my family?" he asked me as we parked. I nodded, a smile on my face.
There are going to be lots of moments to remember this summer.
