Chapter Text
Luke Skywalker rose from his meditation. For multiple days now, he has been feeling ever more insistent nudges from the Force and now he finally saw enough to know where he was supposed to go. Before him his so far only student, the very adorable Grogu of Clan Mudhorn, similarly rose from his own meditation, looking up at him with those unfairly cute eyes of his. Luke would need to travel, that much had been clear from the first time he trained Grogu how to settle into a meditative trance and now finally after days of repeated Feelings he could definitively say where he needed to go.
To where it all began, the ancestral home of the Jedi Order: Tython
Perhaps he could turn the trip into something a little more memorable for Grogu than just a simple relocation? The Mandalorian in Beskar -Beroya, he told Luke to call him Beroya- did leave his comm code with Luke in case Luke ever needed help with his students; allowing Beroya and Grogu to reconnect after the last few months of training would hopefully help Grogu with the loneliness he’d been feeling. Not allowing family to remain in contact was one of those rare few things of the old Order that Luke was all too happy to leave aside.
“Come Grogu, we have a journey to pack for.”
As the Master and Student went back to where they kept their few possessions, Luke was already composing a comm message for Beroya to meet him and Grogu in orbit of Tython. With some luck they could all remain on Tython for a while longer, Luke very much wanted to pick Beroya’s brain on unarmed fighting.

When Din got the message from the Jedi, his heart nearly leapt into his throat thinking his son the child was somehow in danger again. The initial panic somewhat ebbed away when reading the message to meet the two over Tython. It’d be a nice vacation if nothing else and Din had been running himself ragged to keep the worry for his child the kid at bay. Now was the time to see just what that Jetii training could do and maybe, just maybe, Din could get a full night of rest for once without awakening in a panic over a small bundle of cloth missing from his arms.
It was little effort to inform Fett of where he was going, the man seemed almost happy Din was stepping away from doing jobs for a while but surely Din just imagined that. Belongings packed into his N1, Din set off towards Tython and his son the kid. No he doesn’t miss Grogu, shut up Fennec.

The trio met up in the outer orbit of Tython. Grogu’s excitement was evident to Luke even without the Force displaying it plain as day. Following his instincts, Luke guided the group to a vast mountain ridge on the northern hemisphere of the planet, settling his X-Wing into a stretch of open grassland in an evergreen forest hugging the edges of the mountain slopes, the last vestiges of snow clinging stubbornly to the trunks of the largest trees and mountain flowers bloomed in the wider gaps between the trees.
In the distance he could see a trio of wide bottomed cupolas, likely an old administrative hub of some sort from the days of the old Republic. It would make sense, they aren’t particularly far from Coruscant astrographically speaking and the architecture does resemble some republic styles he had seen over the years.
Grogu was out of his modified compartment practically the microsecond the canopy opened enough for him to fit, closing the distance between him and Beroya before the man was even fully out of his own fighter, wrapping tiny claws around the mans armored neck, feelings of relief and safety radiating outwards through the Force. Once the Little had situated himself in the Hunters’ arms, the three proceeded closer into the partially destroyed structure.
“This place seems different from the Imperial structures I’ve been to.” came from the vocoder of the Hunters helm, the mild curiosity evident even through the distortion.
“This place is somewhat built like some old republic ruins I’ve seen in the course of my travels, but it seems older than those; much older.” was the answer from the young Jedi Master, speaking partially on auto-pilot while his focus remained on navigating the ruins. They were being guided deeper into it, the Force churning more and more. The waves keep getting stronger and stronger the longer they are on this planet and by now they are starting to give Luke a rather prominent headache.
As the pressure in his head reaches a crescendo, the floor caves in under their feet plunging them into a darkness deeper than any he had ever seen or felt before as the headache finally pushed his mind into unconciousness.
