It was Flame's birthday in 3 days and Wemmbu had to plan a gift. He and Flame are together, it isn't public because they weren't exactly ready to have their relationship put publicly.
Wemmbu still wanted to give Flame a nice gift without revealing too much about their actual relationship, and what was that gift going to be?
Flame was going to merchant city to get Lomedy some seeds for his farms so Wemmbu had time. He didn't want to make a gift a day before his birthday, he was a bit late on preparation but last minute gifts are some of the most thoughtful sometimes!
And what was this gift he thought about?
He took out his mace, the one he's had for years, Gambit. He wanted to give Flame a meaningful gift.
He chipped off a corner of his mace, yes, his most prized possession. And used some tools to shape the part he chipped off into a little fire shaped thingy. He engraved a little heart and his iconic smile at the back and turned it into a necklace.
It was still glowing, since Gambit itself is enchanted, so it was glowing purple-ish.
He also got a black fabric and did some embroidery that didn't have any specific shapes, he just wanted it to look good. He'd give it to Flame as like a new blindfold. It would mean a lot to Flame, Wemmbu knew.

Wemmbu also, a day before Flame's birthday made a cake for him. Wemmbu sucked at anything that included the kitchen, so the fact that he did this showed that he cared a lot. Flame knew he was baking the cake, but Wemmbu told him not to interfere. So he didn't.

On Flame's birthday, they slept for a while. Wemmbu usually wakes up earlier but today he found himself in sleeping soundly next to Flame.
By a while I meant until 1pm.
Wemmbu woke up first, Wemmbu always woke up first. No matter how long they'd sleep, Wemmbu would be up before Flame.
He shifted a bit and Flame tightened his grip of Wemmbu who chuckled quietly. Shifting so Flame was more comfortable. He waited for Flame to wake up, it took 30 minutes. But eventually Flame woke up.
"Morning Flame.."
Wemmbu whispered, Flame groaned and blinked a few times.
"Morning... Wem..."
"You tired..? You're aware that it's 1:30pm?"
"Huh... Oh"
"It's fine Flame, happy birthday, I love you"
"Oh right. Thanks Wemmbu.. I love you too..."
Flame sat up, pulling Wemmbu up with him.
"Flame..."
"Hm?"
"Do you want to order something for lunch...? You shouldn't cook something.. It's your birthday.."
".. Don't worry-"
"No, Flame, we're ordering something, I'm paying"
"Wem, seriously, it's okay"
"Nope, shh, we're ordering."
"Okay, fine"

After they ate the ordered lunch, Wemmbu took the cake out the fridge, Wemmbu tried his best. But right after he excused himself and quickly went to his and Flame's room to get the gifts he got Flame.
They were in a little bag - a purple bag.
Wemmbu walked back to the kitchen and gave Flame the gift and hugged him.
"Happy birthday"
Flame hugged back, he was very greatful for Wemmbu right now. He kissed Wemmbu, it was a gentle kiss.
"Thank you... Thank you Wemmbu"..
Flame took the stuff out the bag... And he immediately took off his current blindfold, turning away since he hasn't actually shown Wemmbu his eyes; and putting on the blindfold Wemmbu got him.
But the necklace
The glowing...
He recognized that type of material
"Wemmbu.."
"Hm?"
"Is this..?"
"Yes"
"That's... From your mace??"
"Yes, Gambit"
"I did not expect that, you've had that mace for a while.."
"That's exactly why I gave it to you"
Flame smiled because there was a little heart engraved and the signature Wemmbu smile •⎵•

Flame got called over to Lomedy's farm once again... For some reason? He was wearing the necklace Wemmbu gave him and the blindfold Wemmbu gave him.
Lomedy, being his best friend, noticed as soon as he came. Especially since purple wasn't Flame's color scheme, and the pendant on the necklace... It looked so unlike Flame.
"New blindfold?"
"Yeah"
"Purple... Hm... I thought it wasn't your color, Flame"
"I'm just... Trying something new bro, like don't worry about it"
Lomedy nodded, he was going to except that but remembered
"Bro, I'm so sorry for lot being able to come over for your birthday.. Happy late birthday man! You were probably alone at your base..."
Though it was the opposite of that
"It's okay Lomedy"
"You sure?"
"Yeah, so what did you need me for?"
"Right, some players came by and griefed my base again so I was curious if you could maybe kill them when they come back and in the meantime help me rebuild?"
"Sure."
Lomedy surprisingly didn't notice the necklace yet. It was literally glowing, but whatever. He wouldn't have to try explain himself.
But a few hours passed while he was rebuilding and planting with Lomedy, he was just talking to him, they were currently in his base rebuilding and his communicator rang a few times. Someone was calling him.
"Bro who's that?"
"Hold on"
Flame checked his communicator.
It was Wemmbu... Right, he told Wemmbu he'd be back in an hour. It's been 3 hours.
"Give me a second bro"
Flame picked up without telling Lomedy who it was. He'd have to play this off like he's talking to just a normal person and not Wemmbu - the guy he's with..
"Flame, oh my god I'm glad you're okay, you said one hour so I got a bit worried when you didn't come back like you said you would"
"Yeah, I'm talking to Lomedy. He asked me to help him with his base and stuff since he got griefed."
"D'alrighttt, sorry for interrupting"
"Nah don't worry man"
"Good on you for acting so nonchalant. Did Lomedy notice the necklace?"
"No"
"Shit I probably shouldn't ask that because if you reply to me like.. Like that he didn't see it he's gonna wonder what he didn't see"
"Yeah, okay, bye then"
"Bye"
Flame put the communicator back in his pocket and continued rebuilding.
He got in contact with a window. And since the sun was still kinda out it hit the necklace.
And that material did 'sparkle' under the sun.
And Lomedy, as blind as he was being till this point, wasn't stupid enough to miss the way the bracelet lit up.
"Hey, I didn't notice you had that-"
Lomedy walked over to Flame and took the pendant in his hand...
Lomedy owned a mace.
He'd recognize the material of a mace.
"Flame... Where did you get this?"
"Uh..."
"It's not from my mace, is it???"
"Wha- no??"
"Then where did you get this material..? This is heavy core.. A mace is made out of heavy core and a breeze rod.."
"Uhm.. I bought it in merchant city when.. You told me to get you seeds...?"
And that's where his luck got worse. Because Lomedy was literally inspecting the pendant. It wasn't a small sized one. It was a pretty big pendant.
The engraving that Wemmbu added.
Flame hoped Lomedy wouldn't see it. He'd have to explain the relationship he had with Wemmbu in secret, and that's not something he wants.
But again, he wasn't lucky right now. As I previously mentioned.
"And... Hang on..."
Lomedy looked closer, the things engraved into the pendant we're small, but.. If you look closely you'd see it.
Lomedy saw both the heart, and 𝘞𝘦𝘮𝘮𝘣𝘶'𝘴 iconic smile
"Is that...?"
"No"
"Dude, Flame, you're a terrible liar. What's your... Association with Wemmbu for you to have a pendant with a heart next to the thing that he's like... Recognized by?"
"Uhhhh fine, we aren't rivals, we're friends"
"Yeah, and the sky is pink?"
"Yeah I figured you'd know bro, we may or not be together"
"... Damn bro, how'd you manage that? And since when..?"
"Since his invisible arc... After I found him.. And stuff"
"That's... A lot of time to not tell your best friend, Flame."
"Yeah bro."
"Okay so did Wemmbu give you the blindfold...? And the pendant?"
"Yes.. On my birthday"
"Wow...- wait that pendant is from heavy core which means that... Wemmbu made that from a part of his mace"
"Yeah, Gambit"
"GAMBIT?? He's had that for years, he loves that mace"
"Yeah, he said that's why he made it for me. And don't you dare tell anyone about me and Wemmbu."
"Cross my heart and hope to die bro, I won't"
"Good"
Flame went home in an hour and Wemmbu was already asleep, he was probably tired. Flame showered, put on some pajamas and layed down beside Wemmbu then fell asleep. He'd tell Wemmbu about Lomedy knowing about their relationship tomorrow.
