Chapter Text
-------Orario, Mansion of the Fireplace--------
The Hestia Familia were overjoyed; they had rescued the Loki Familia, and especially Aiz Wallenstein, from the 60th floor. The Loki Familia were still recovering from their injuries, but they would soon be back in top form.
"I'm so happy we succeeded!" — The goddess of the Family was overjoyed and excited.
“We succeeded thanks to our friends, Kami-sama,” Bell recalled, “We should be grateful for the help of Leon-sensei and the Freya Family!”
“Don’t be modest, my friend,” Welf reprimanded, “You were essential to the rescue!”
“The victory is yours too, Bell-sama, they wouldn’t have succeeded without you!” — Lili knew that very well; Bell had been vital in the rescue on the 60th floor.
At that moment, the Hestia Familia heard someone knocking on the door. Bell was the first to answer it; it was Aiz Wallenstein, the person Bell wanted to reach—not that the blonde knew this. The blonde was still recovering from the events on the 60th floor, but she wasn't completely ruined; she could walk without problems.
"Aiz-san?" — Bell hadn't expected to see her there.
“I came to give you this” — Aiz held out a bouquet of flowers to him — “As a gift for coming to help us on the 60th floor”
“Thank you” — He said, taking the bouquet — “This is the second time you’ve done this; the first was after the Wargame against the Apollo Family.”
“That time it was Riveria’s suggestion,” Aiz admitted, “She suggested I give it to him as a congratulatory gift for winning the Wargame; I trained him for it after all.”
"Yes..." — Bell agreed
The two were alone at the door, the atmosphere was perfect, and they began to bring their faces closer to each other. They both closed their eyes and let themselves be guided, until their lips were about to touch...
A loud noise was heard in the middle of the city.
"And another problem begins." — Bell said a bit annoyed
'Tsk, I thought I was finally going to confess my feelings to my hero, but no, life seems to hate me.' — Aiz thought angered with that interruption
"Want to come with me and see what this mess is all about, Aiz?" — Bell offered
Regulus Arne's words made the Warrior Princess blush.
Then, with a slight smile, they both headed towards the city center.
But while all this was happening, the Hestia Familia could only watch the two lovebirds investigating all the commotion in the center of Orario.
"When is the wedding?" — Welf asked in a funny yone
"I'm going to get ready to be the godmother of Bell and Aiz's children." — Haruhime knew she would be the godmother!
"I'm not going to be the babysitter!" — Lili rebelled; she wasn't going to be the babysitter for Bell and Aiz's children.
Hestia made a sad face
"I'll organize the food." — Ryuu said also in a funny tone
"I'll hire security guards so Loki doesn't bother us." — Mikoto already knew exactly who to hire for that.
“I’ll prepare the fireworks.” — Nina knew very well where to buy such a thing.
Well, setting aside the fact that the entire Hestia Familia was already preparing for Bell and Aiz's wedding, we can see how the two finally arrived in the city center to see what was happening.
But when they arrived… the scene they found… was the following:
An intense fight broke out, with numerous adventurers, men and women, battling against all the adventurers from Orario who were present. They were anything but kind, seemingly unconcerned about the possibility of killing any of them.
“Hey hey hey!” — Bell tried to get their attention, but no one listened — “Damn it, it’s going to be the hard way!”
Bell drew his Hestia knife and leaped into the fight, with Aiz and Ryuu joining him. Both also drew their respective weapons and went into battle. Even though Aiz couldn't fight yet because of her injuries, she wouldn't let her hero face those monsters alone!
Ryuu also wasted no time and invoked his "Astraea Record" magic, activating the magic of Alise, his dearest friend, to help him in that battle, as she had seen that it would be necessary.
“You are too weak!” — The man who appeared to be the leader complained to his opponents — “You should be ashamed of all this weakness!”
The man then stomped his foot hard on the ground, creating a powerful shockwave that sent Bell, Aiz, and Ryuu flying.
“Attacking from behind, huh?” — The man seemed disappointed — “Are you afraid to face me head-on?!”
“Who are you, sir?” Bell asked, wanting to know the identity of that super-powerful adventurer; that shockwave was stronger than Ottar’s! “And what’s the need for this fight in the middle of the city?”
“You don’t know who I am?!” — The man seemed incredulous — “Well, I don’t know how a newbie like you doesn’t know who I am, but to answer your question, I am—”
“Maxim?” — Ottar's voice rang out, and to the newcomers' surprise, it was filled with disbelief.
Ottar had a shocked expression on his face that no one had ever seen before; the adventurer was as stoic as Aiz in that respect, which surprised the younger ones, especially Bell.
“Ottar? When did you age 10 years in one day, you miserable brat?” — Maxim seemed incredulous.
“Wait, Maxim?” — Bell recognized the name from one of the stories Leon had told him during his time in the school district — “The captain of the Zeus Family who died 15 years ago?!”
But then, an unexpected blow struck Bell, aimed at his heart.
Aiz and Ryuu tried to save Bell, but the sword was too close to his heart.
Then, time seemed to stop as Bell felt a strange force invade his body.
Small scarlet rays coursed through his entire body.
Without hesitation, Bell swung his sword to deflect the attack, but in doing so...
CRASH!!!
The sword that was about to pierce his heart exploded into pieces, throwing its owner several meters away, to the other side of the city, with his arm completely destroyed.
This action left everyone present astonished, as they never expected anyone to be so quick as to stop a direct attack on the heart, just one centimeter from piercing it.
And even less likely that he would break a sword made of adamantine.
This left Maxim speechless, standing next to a woman with hair as golden as sunbeams and eyes as blue as two precious sapphires.
"Diana... the boy?" — Maxim asked her companion.
“Yes… he completely shattered a sword made of pure adamant as if it were nothing.” — The Empress was incredulous; that brat shouldn’t even be past level 6!
Bell stared at his hands in surprise; this had never happened before!
“Okay, that’s enough!” — Ottar activated his bestial form, going straight to his full power — “What kind of tasteless joke is that?!”
“What are you talking about, brat?” — The adventurer known as “Gluttony,” the same man Ottar had defeated 7 years ago and who had boosted him to level 7, asked.
"What he's trying to say is that you should all be dead!" — The captain of the Loki Familia appeared on the scene. Finn was still recovering, but he couldn't let something like this go uninvestigated.
“What—” — Alfia, the adventurer known as “Silence,” was interrupted by Riveria.
“Fifteen years ago, the Zeus and Hera families were decimated by the One-Eyed Black Dragon!” — Riveria said, clearly irritated upon seeing Alfia — “You should all be six feet under now!”
“My dear, could you explain this in more detail?” — A voice Bell knew better than anyone spoke; the man was accompanied by a woman, both possessing the aura of gods.
Riveria was about to begin her story, but Bell interrupted her with tears in her eyes.
"Grandpa?" — Bell's voice came out as a whisper; not even in his wildest dreams had he imagined he would see his grandfather again.
Obviously, even though Bell had whispered, all the adventurers heard his words perfectly, after all, everyone there was at least level 6.
"Hey kid?" — Zeus didn't quite know what to say, why was that kid calling him grandpa? — "Do I know you?"
“Nothing… I’ll explain later.” — Bell decided, he was on the verge of tears, but decided he needed to explain everything later; there were more important things now.
"Ah, well, do you know what year it is?" — The god wanted to know, he had realized that time had somehow broken down.
"The year is 690." — Bell answered
"...What?" — He never expected that, never expected it to go this far.
"It's the year 690." — Bell repeated
This answer left the two great Families completely speechless, as they thought it was 672.
But, according to the boy, it was the 90s, when some members noticed stores they had never seen before, and others that they knew had disappeared.
Something that left everyone confused.
"Are we traveling to the future or something?" — Zald raised an eyebrow at that.
"It feels like we've traveled 18 years into the future." — Alfia said
That's what a woman with silver hair and eyes of different colors said—one silver, the other jade green.
She stared intently at Bell, since he had his sister's white/silver hair, but her idiot brother-in-law's red eyes.
'For some reason I don't understand... I want to spoil the boy... and kill that idiot Silver.'
"Anyway" —The goddess Hera drew everyone's attention— "What did you mean by 'we were decimated?!'"
“Exactly what you heard” — The strongest teacher in the school district appeared on the scene. Leon was still in Orario recovering from the rescue mission — “15 years ago you were decimated by the One-Eyed Black Dragon. After killing Behemoth and Leviathan, the only survivors were Maxim, Zald, and Alfia. Maxim died shortly after, while Zald and Alfia died 7 years ago during a terrorist attack in Orario, in which you participated.”
“So we managed to kill Behemoth and Leviathan” — Zeus realized — “We were about to go after Behemoth before we were pulled into this time period”
"Were you the only ones who came here?" — Gareth asked something very important.
“No, I can feel my whole family calmly, they are in that time too” — Hera revealed.
"Same here" — Zeus said
Before anyone else could say anything, the god Ganesha appeared on the spot.
“Zeus and Hera, Uranus requests your presence in the prayer hall” — Ganesha was deathly serious; he knew that depending on how things turned out, everything would change from then on.
"Right, I believe Ouranos can guide us better on all of this," Zeus said, and Hera agreed with her husband; if there was anyone who could explain all of this better, it was Ouranos.
With these words, Zeus and Hera asked all their children to behave and not cause any more trouble in the city until they returned.
They all nodded in agreement and, soon after, saw their gods being escorted away by the God of Justice of Orario.
Meanwhile, Maxim and Diana approached the boy to talk to him.
"Hey, kid, how did you do that?" — Maxim asked
"Huh?" — Bell didn’t understand
“How did you break that adamantine sword with that insignificant knife?” — Maxim asked as if it were obvious.
“First, this knife was a gift from my Goddess Hestia, and second, I don’t know how I made it.” — Bell answered
“Breaking an adamantinum sword and sending an elite member of the Zeus Family flying like it was nothing?” — Diana raised an incredulous eyebrow — “You don’t know how you did that?”
“I swear by the name of my Goddess that I don’t know how I did it,” Bell swore, “I just felt a strange power coursing through my body and saw strange scarlet rays crossing it!”
This answer left the two captains of the most powerful Families in Orario completely confused.
But they couldn't demand any more information from the boy, since, like them, he didn't know what had happened or how he had done it.
"What's your name, boy?" — Zald asked the white-haired youth directly.
Bell was about to open his mouth to reply, but Leon gave him some advice.
“Bell, I recommend you don’t get too close to those people,” Leon warned. He didn’t want Bell getting involved with the Zeus and Hera Families; he didn’t deserve to deal with those creatures.
“You… you’re that gorgeous but ill-mannered brat, aren’t you?” — Diana licked her lips at the sight of the incredibly handsome man Leon had become as an adult — “Time has been very kind to you!”
“Absolutely, especially considering he made me stay away from you!” — Leon said, and Diana didn't like that at all, much less the tone he used.
Hera’s Empress appeared in front of Leon, attempting to kick him as she had done all those years before, but to her surprise the boy dodged her attack with relative ease.
"What?" — Leon asked, seeing her incredulous face — "I'm not that bratty, weakling anymore!"
“You’ve grown, Leon” — Maxim smiled at that, he had also sensed that in Ottar when he used his bestiality earlier — “You and Ottar are the strongest of this time, aren’t you?”
“Yes, we just leveled up to level 8” — Ottar confirmed.
Zald whistled at that; he was happy to see that the two brats, especially Ottar, had grown so much. He still remembered all the times he used Ottar as a punching bag when he was angry.
"White-haired boy, you still haven't told us your name!" — Alfia, for some reason, wanted to know his name.
“Bell Cranel, captain of the Hestia Familia” — Bell introduced himself, and the Zeus and Hera Familias were surprised by this, especially by the surname.
“Cranel?” — A black-haired man asked, appearing from behind the stronger adventurers, pushing a white-haired woman in a wheelchair — “Is your last name Cranel?”
Before Bell could say anything, Ottar and Leon positioned themselves between the two adults and the boy.
Then they told Bell to get away from there as quickly as possible.
Following the instructions of the two experienced adventurers, Bell set off, escorted by Aiz and Ryuu for his protection.
Meanwhile, the two adults watched the albino boy walk away.
"That boy's last name was... Cranel?" — Silver was still trying to understand it; he felt there was a possibility he had never considered.
"Yes, dear, he himself said his last name was Cranel." — Meteria, Alfia's sickly sister, confirmed what the boy had said.
"How?" — Silver had to ask.
"Now that I've looked closer," Zald realized after glancing at the couple, "He bore an undeniable resemblance to both of you."
“He also called the old man Grandpa” — Maxim reminded them of this fact — “I could see that the old man had no idea who he was, but the boy knew him, he was almost crying when he saw him.”
"Honey, do you think that..." — Meteria left the question hanging in the air.
“There’s a possibility, my darling, there’s a possibility” — Silver and Meteria had never thought about discussing the possibility of having children; both were young, and Meteria’s frail health didn’t help with that.
Alfia finally understood why she found that boy familiar; she was going to have a LONG talk with Silver about crossing the line with her sister!
-------Guild---------
Zeus and Hera stood before Ouranos, the eldest god seated as always, using his Arcanum to prevent the monsters from escaping the Dungeon.
“Zeus and Hera, before explaining everything, I need to ask: What were you doing before coming to this time?” — Ouranos asked in his stoic voice.
“We were about to go after Behemoth,” Hera replied. “From what we’ve gathered, we managed to kill Behemoth and Leviathan, but we were killed by the One-Eyed Black Dragon. Is that true?”
“Yes” — He confirmed what the two gods already knew — “15 years ago you went after the dragon and were defeated by it, having been expelled by Loki and Freya to maintain peace and balance in Orario”
“I realized that this peace aspect was taken seriously” — He had seen the peaceful state of the city when he arrived at that time; there was no sound of battle in the streets, and the people were incredibly calm and didn't even worry about the adventurers as they had in his time.
"Furthermore, why was there a child who resembled my beloved daughter Meteria Hikaria and had the eyes of my stupid husband's son?"
"Hey!"
"It's a little harder to explain, but you need to know that this child is a blood relative of these two."
"...What?" — The divine couple were surprised by that.
"I'll explain this later, but I want to make a few things clear."
"What right do you think you have to impose conditions on us?" — Hera said with arrogance in her voice.
“Ouranos, you know that our Familias can crush Orario with ease, don’t you?” — Zeus raised an eyebrow at the elder god.
Ouranos knew Zeus wasn't wrong about this; Zeus and Hera had been brought back to their respective peaks, and the only ones who could give them any real fight were Leon and Ottar.
But Ouranos had an ace up his sleeve...
“I know that very well, however, Chaos owes me a favor and I can use it to erase you both from history” — Uranus threatened, and he wasn't bluffing about it.
"...Okay, you win" — Hera dropped the bone, something that rarely happened — "What are your conditions?"
"First condition: that there be no more battles in the middle of the city between your Families, and even less fighting with other Families. Orario is at peace, and I want it to stay that way!"
"It looks easy" — This wasn't something really difficult to do for the thunder god.
“Second condition: try to get along with the other Familias” — Ouranos continued — “By the way, your older sister, Hestia, has already descended to the mortal plane.”
“Wait, Hestia finally descended to the mortal plane?” — She had sensed a familiar presence nearby amidst all the chaos earlier, but she never expected it to be her older sister.
“Yes, but the third condition, and this applies to both of you... control your sons so that they don't spy on women, or your daughters so that they don't kidnap men to force them to marry them.”
“...”
"...”
“...”
"We'll try to solve this problem." — Hera said
"Yes, we will try to solve this problem." — Hera said
"...You're not going to do that last one, are you?" — Ouranos raised an eyebrow; he knew his grandchildren very well.
"No" — The divine couple said
"Wow, okay, just try to be discreet while doing this" — Ouranos asked for at least that.
“We promised to try, but we have a little problem, Ouranos” — Zeus called the attention of the two gods present — “We still haven’t discovered exactly what happened for us to be here.”
“It was a Chaos mistake,” Ouranos began his explanation, “In a moment of carelessness, time ended up breaking and many eras were affected, even the age of heroes.”
"And one of those eras was ours" — Hera presumed.
“Yes, however, this time it was different,” he revealed. “Normally, someone from the present would end up being sent to the past, but this time it was the other way around.”
“Our families have been sent to the future,” Zeus concluded. “What was the oversight? Did he sneeze again?”
“No, he dozed off for a moment,” Ouranos explained. “Time broke because of that, but luckily he managed to prevent any really severe collateral damage.”
"And our presence here doesn't count as severe collateral damage?" — Hera raised an eyebrow.
“And now we get to what I wanted to talk about” — Ouranos rubbed his temples, knowing that things were now getting more complicated — “To prevent time from having even more problems, Chaos prevented history from changing with your presence at that time, so thanks to him Behemoth and Leviathan remain dead”
"And then?" — Zeus encouraged him to continue.
“However, Chaos decided it was best not to tamper with time any further on its own to prevent even greater problems,” Ouranos continued, “Sending you back would cause an even worse temporal paradox than what already exists, and because of this, Chaos decided that you will remain in this era permanently, without returning to your original time.”
That shocked the gods; were they going to stay in that era forever?!
Zeus and Hera exchanged glances; they knew that challenging Chaos was simply madness, so they decided to accept it.
“Well, Ouranos, we still have a problem” — Hera took the floor — “Considering that our Familias were killed 15 years ago, I suppose our headquarters no longer exist, do they?”
“No, they were demolished a long time ago, the land is still empty,” Ouranos said. “Besides, your Familias’ accounts were confiscated when you two were evicted, although I personally took care of the money.”
"Did you spend it all?" — Zeus wanted to know.
“No, I never touched the accounts themselves, I only kept them safe in case Orario ever needed them, so I’ll simply send them back to you soon,” he explained. “However, I recommend that you find somewhere to stay while your new headquarters are being built.”
“We’ll need them, I can sense that the rest of my Familia are still returning to Orario,” she revealed. “They appeared outside and far from the city, but they will return soon.”
"Same here" — Zeus
“Well, that’s all, try to behave from now on” — Ouranos said before closing his eyes again, returning to his work of preventing the monsters from escaping the Dungeon.
Zeus and Hera left the prayer room and went to find their respective children to explain the situation.
-----Twilight Manor-----
The Loki and Freya Families were having an emergency meeting with the Hestia Familia; present were their respective deities, Ottar, Leon, and the Loki trio.
"Okay, I think everyone already knows why we're here." — Loki started
“The Zeus and Hera families have returned, and with all their children.” — Freya placed a hand on her forehead while resting her arm on the table.
"Exactly, and that only means one thing... trouble... lots and lots of trouble." — Loki continued
"Don't tell me, those two Families were just stupid barbarians who only caused destruction and violence, even if they were good at what they did." — Freya
"With the exception of Silver, Zald, and Maxim, who were the only noteworthy ones... the rest were quite problematic." — Gareth
"And that's without even mentioning the presence of the vain and narcissistic Alfia... that only causes more problems." — If there was anyone in that family that Riviera didn't miss, it was Alfia.
"Exactly." — Loki
"Perhaps if I talk to my two younger brothers, perhaps..." — Hestia
“Talk to your two younger siblings?” — Loki asked incredulously — “Hestia, Zeus is a pervert… Damn it, and Hera is a complete capricious and narcissistic shrew, it’s impossible to reach an agreement with them or even have a conversation!”
"Although we also have to consider that Bell called Zeus 'grandpa,' in addition to the fact that he looks a lot like Silver and Meteria." — Leon
"That's right, that boy looks a lot like them, could Bell be their son?" — Finn
"It's best not to jump to conclusions, Finn, we need to wait and investigate to find out what's going on." — Riveria
"Oh, by the way, how is Bell?" — The goddess was worried about her captain; Bell had had a crying fit after seeing Zeus.
“Aiz and Ryuu managed to calm him down by saying that perhaps he had mistaken him for someone else, but Bell said he knew the man in front of him was his grandfather.”
"It's not so impossible, considering the facts we have now" — Ottar gave his opinion.
“Why isn’t it…” — Bell appeared in the room, clearly tired of the earlier situation — “I have no doubt, I lived with my grandfather for 13 years, he took care of me my whole life, I would recognize his face and voice anywhere.”
"Why didn't you ever tell me this, Bell-kun?" — Hestia needed to ask — "Why didn't you ever tell me that your grandfather was actually my brother?"
“I didn’t know that, Kami-sama” — He was completely honest — “He used the name Jove while he lived in the village with me, he was just… grandpa, he never told me he was a god nor did he emanate the usual divine aura”
"He should have concealed his aura while living in the village" — Freya concluded.
“Hey Bell, can you tell us exactly what happened to your grandfather?” — Leon approached his student and gently pulled him to his side.
“He died, I mean, I don’t even know anymore if he really died with everything I learned from the gods in Orario” — Bell began to recount before becoming completely flustered, but quickly regained his composure — “I didn’t see him die or anything like that, I received news that he had supposedly died at the hands of some goblins, however his body was never found”
"They never found the body?" — Finn knew that gods didn't leave bodies behind when they died — "Was there a pillar of light?"
“No, that’s precisely why I say he probably didn’t really die, he didn’t have a body or a pillar of light, just the news of his ‘death’” — Bell continued.
“Hmmmm” — Finn thought for a moment — “Well, let’s leave that for later, we need to investigate other things”
“We also need to investigate what kind of power Bell Cranel has awakened, because I have never seen a power that grants enough strength to hurl an adventurer of Zeus through the air, much less break a sword made of pure adamantite.” — Loki reminded them of this fact.
“I already said, I don’t know what happened in that moment or how it happened.” — Bell reaffirmed this — “I just felt a surge of power when I saw that sword about to pierce my heart.”
"It must be a survival-related skill." — Leon, the veteran adventurer suggested.
"Does that even exist?" — Bell had to ask.
“There are records of people with 'Falna' who awakened powerful or unique abilities in response to certain traumatic events or when they were on the verge of death, as was your case.” — Leon was referring to the fact that Bell had seen his grandfather, who he believed to be dead, again, even though it wasn't exactly the grandfather who raised him.
"So I gained a new ability?" — He hadn't gained any abilities yet because he hadn't updated his stats after the rescue mission — "I haven't updated my stats to know."
“I don’t know, I’ve never seen anything like that before. Normally, abilities only start working after a status update,” Leon explained. “They form beforehand, but only start working after the update.”
"Ah" — Bell understood his teacher's explanation.
At that moment, someone knocked on the meeting room door; it was one of the guards who watched over the gate.
"Goddess Loki, the Zeus and Hera Families are at the door wanting to speak with Bell Cranel" — That caught everyone by surprise, what did they want with Bell?
"Do they want to talk to Bell-kun?" — Hestia worried about this — "Bell-kun, do you want to talk to them?"
“I want to,” he said simply, “I need to talk to Grandpa, even if he’s not the Grandpa I know.”
"Send them in, please" — Loki ordered the guard, and the guard obeyed.
The two Families entered the room; only their principal members, who had already appeared in Orario, were present. Initially, no one said anything, so Zeus decided to take the lead.
“Boy, earlier you called me grandpa, and your name is Bell Cranel, isn’t it?” — Zeus asked, and Bell nodded — “Well, these are Silver Cranel and Meteria Hikari, do you recognize them?”
Zeus pointed to Silver and Meteria, who were staring intently at Bell. The boy's resemblance to both of them was undeniable, especially Meteria, but with Silver's eyes.
“No, gra- Zeus-sama” — Bell quickly corrected himself to avoid calling him grandpa — “I don’t recognize either of you…”
“I understand” — Zeus then pointed to Alfia, who said nothing — “And her? Do you recognize her?”
“No, I don’t recognize her either” — The woman was physically identical to the other woman in the wheelchair, with only her complexion and attitude being different.
"Well, boy, can you tell me your parents' names?" — Zeus already had an idea of what Bell's answer would be.
“I never met them,” Bell admitted, pushing back the sadness he always felt when talking about his parents. “I was raised solely by my grandfather my whole life, in a farming village about two weeks from Orario. My grandfather never told me my parents’ names.”
Zeus nodded, already anticipating the initial response when the boy didn't recognize Silver and Meteria, though he wondered why his future self hadn't told him about the boy's parents.
"What power was that you demonstrated?" — Zeus had to ask; Maxim had told him about it.
“I don’t know, I don’t know what happened. I just felt like I was going to die when the sword pierced me, and I felt a mysterious force coursing through my body. I just wanted to deflect the sword, not… do what happened to the adventurer.” — He said, somewhat saddened by what happened to the adventurer.
"Did this happen more than once?" Maxim asked.
“No, it’s the first time I’ve felt this.” — The gods confirmed that the boy was telling the truth.
These words caused Diana and Maxim, along with Zald and Alfia, to exchange glances.
Because this only revealed that the little boy in front of him had shown signs of awakening an extremely powerful ability.
But they didn't know how it had happened, so the best option was to keep an eye on the boy to see if it would happen again.
“What’s your name?” — Maxim already knew Bell’s name, but decided to start over in a more friendly way.
“Bell Cranel, my name is Bell Cranel.” — Silver and Meteria exchanged glances upon hearing Silver's surname again in the boy's name.
"How old are you?" — Maxim wanted to know
“14 years old, I’m 14 years old in total and I’ll be 15 on April 1st.” — Loki laughed at the fact that the boy’s birthday was on April Fool’s Day.
"What's your level?" — Maxim keep asking
“Level 5, although I think I recently reached level 6.” — He admitted — “I just haven’t updated my stats yet to be sure.”
Maxim was surprised to hear this, as he never imagined that someone so young could reach level 6 in less than a year.
He wondered if Bell possessed some ability that would allow him to level up much faster.
"What's your family name?" — Maxim made the most important question
“Hestia Familia.” — He pointed to his goddess, who nodded to her siblings, who waved back — “I am the captain of the Hestia Familia.”
“Speaking of which…” — Hera seemed almost humiliated to have to ask this — “It will take some time for our new headquarters to be ready, so I would like to ask if our main group can stay at your headquarters for now, Hestia.”
“Hey! Hey! Hey!” — Loki said, not believing it, and the others in the present didn't believe it either — “What's this story about a 'new headquarters' ?! You should be trying to figure out how to get back to your time!”
“That’s the big news, Loki!” — Zeus laughed at her reaction — “Unfortunately, due to some… carelessness on Chaos’ part, we can never return to our time. Fortunately, your history in these 15 years hasn’t been altered thanks to Chaos, but we are here to stay forever!”
The current era said nothing; they simply reacted each in their own way.
Loki and Freya had a hand on their foreheads, wondering how this was possible.
Finn buried his face in his hands, wondering what they had done wrong to deserve such punishment from Chaos.
Riveria stared at it all with lifeless eyes. She was beginning to accept the fact that she would have to tolerate Alfia for a while until she returned to her own time, but now that witch was going to stay...
Gareth said nothing; he didn't know what to say about it.
Leon and Ottar exchanged glances; they deeply admired the power and achievements of the Zeus and Hera families, but they disliked their behavior intensely, especially that of the Empress.
Ryuu couldn't believe she would have to live with Alfia for a while, the woman who had almost killed her and her former Familia.
Bell wasn't excited; Leon-sensei had told him about his time with the Zeus and Hera Families, and according to the older man, it wasn't pretty at all!
Aiz and Hestia said nothing. Hestia had neither seen nor heard of what the time of Zeus and Hera was like, while Aiz simply didn't care; she just wouldn't tolerate them mistreating her little rabbit!
