Chapter Text

Momiji High School

Located between the mountains of southern Nagano prefecture, Momiji High School services multiple small villages in the area. Despite that, the actual population of students is extremely low, leading to a high degree of familiarity between students. It is best described as a vocational school, specializing education surrounding preparing students for life in the moutain villages they call home. The name ‘Momiji’ comes from the red maple trees that grow all around the school grounds.

Volleyball Team

Led by Coach Sakurai Hiraku, Momiji High’s male volleyball team is a work of passion. At constant risk of being disbanded by lack of interest, the volleyball club has barely managed to hang on this year by making strong showings at local tournaments and practice matches.

They are an underdog team, often compared to starving wolves—both due to their aggressive play style and their lack of recognition from the wider volleyball space. With eight active members, the Momiji High volleyball club hopes to use their first ever appearance at nationals to revitalize their home and club.
