Work Text:

She was waiting. She was about to explode. The meal was on the table, she finished correcting the tests, and now, she was sitting in the living room, waiting for someone.

She was really patient. She even waited for him to propose. But he waited too. Like they had a whole life.

She heard the car in front of the house. In 30 seconds exactly, she will hear the keys in the door. She was already prepared to hug him.

Because since last week, she has been Penny Markov, Doctor Denver Markov’s wife.

While waiting, she noticed her ring, as if it had never been here. It's going to take long till she gets used to it.

The door opened, and she saw the tall white-haired man, removing his mask from his face, and closing the door.

In his hand, he had a ring too.

Penny ran to him, and hugged him, surprising him.

-Good evening, darling.

She waited the whole week to tell him these words.

She felt a kiss on her forehead, a sweet kiss, and he hugged her back, like she was going to disappear.

It didn’t feel like, but when in private with her, he gets all lovey-dovey.

-Good evening sweetheart.

He was trying to hide his face, because he was blushing too much.

Such a tsundere.

She could feel her poor little heart, that was already racing, melting in front of this vision of her husband.

-Let’s eat, it’s going to get cold.

They went eating and all I’m lazy

The end

I’m joking they are too cute. I have to write more about them.

They sat down, ready to eat. While Denver was silent, Penny was talking for two, about the children, how they all did well for the test, that it felt cold today, they must go to buy some plates, and a dishwasher.

Just random things that make a life full of joy. Random things that make Denver slightly smile and watch his wife yapping about children. He was about to drink his glass of water, when Penny said:

-What do you think about having children?

He pffffooooouuuuu his water (spit out his water).

-Yes, like in a year or two, when we will be a little bit more comfortable!

She smiled in an innocent way, while Denver was cosplaying a strawberry.

-Denver, are you okay? Do you have a fever?

-Penny don’t act ignorantly. You know why I’m red.

-Nooo?

-Yes you do.

-No I don’t.

-Yes you do.

She began laughing so hard she couldn’t breathe, but it was contagious, so Denver began laughing too. They couldn’t talk for 5 minutes. Every time they tried to say something or breathe again, it would take back.

Finally, they calmed a little, breathing again, well and alive, and finished their meal in silence. Sometimes a little laugh could come from Penny.

-About children, I don’t really care.

She looked at him, disappointed.

-Not that I don’t want kids, I do. But you’re the one that will suffer for 9 months, and I will not be able to do anything. So, it’s all about you, it’s if you want, or if you don’t want.

He didn’t want to look at her, after he disappointed her. But she was insistent, so he glanced at her.

She was about to cry.

-No Penny, I’m sorry!

He rushed toward her, getting on his knees, and cupped her face in his hands.

He seemed panicked, trying to justify himself and all, when she stopped him.

-You’re an absolute darling. I wasn’t crying because I was sad, it was because you’re too kind!

He turned his face, after a moment, realizing he was staring at her.

Finally, they finished the dinner, debating on names, how many children, things that young couples could say.

They went fucking (joke)

They went to sleep, calmly, after that Denver took a shower, Penny had already done.

He took her from her waist and pulled her close to him.

And they slept.

Afterall, life is long, they have the time to plan it later.

For the moment, they are cute both of them, without no one

Notes:

I need them in my blood
