and yummy mangoes
cut up

mom,

childhood
nostalgia

bedroom,

the sunrise
and stars
maybe
the moon too,
on the days
she feels full
the color yellow
would taste like
love
and soft hands through
your hair,
it would
taste like
your parents arms,
yellow would
taste like
the dandelions
you picked
in elementary
school,
Even though
You knew they
Would wilt.

would taste like
your old
off white classrooms,
and
the feeling of a kiss on the forehead
yellow would taste like
being tucked in
by your
mama and papa
at the end
of a long school day
and after
they’ve
read you a
happily
ever
after,
