Work Text:
Gorya wasn’t stupid. In fact, Gorya would argue that Shasha was the stupid one for thinking she wouldn’t find out.
Did Shasha really think that she wouldn’t catch on to her scheme?
Right now, she was on a mission to finally confront Shasha. That’s how she found herself making her way to Shasha’s condo in the middle of the night.
It wasn’t that hard to put two and two together. Prim would kill Shasha if she knew that Shasha was going after Baipor again, and Shasha already made it clear she had no interest in her anyway.
When Gorya locked eyes with Shasha as they were dancing, she expected to be greeted with a jealous gaze, the one she had seen the past week whenever she was around Krystal. What she got in return was a smug smile that made Gorya want to hit her.
She knew she was up to something.
Gorya was suspicious of Krystal too. She had helped Shasha before by casting the two of them in her music video. It wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to think that she was helping her now.
Y’know, aside from the fact that she literally overheard their conversation from outside the women’s restroom at the club as she was about to enter.
~~~
“Do you really like Gorya, Krys?”
“She’s pretty, but I’m not that into her. She’s fun to flirt with but I’ll stop hitting on her.”
“Don’t stop yet.”
“Huh? Why?”
“Can you keep hitting on her a little longer? My plan is working out as I expected. You can even ask her out, I know what her answer will be.”
~~~
That cocky, scheming idiot.
The nail in the coffin for her was the night Krystal kissed her tonight. She didn’t actually expect her to do it and she could sense just the faintest reluctance in it. But right before that, she saw Krystal texting Shasha when she thought Gorya wasn’t looking.
Guess that’s why they’re exes and friends.
~~~
“What if I kiss her?”
“You can do whatever, I know she wouldn’t reciprocate.”
~~~
Gorya rolled her eyes as she recalled that message. She didn’t know what was more annoying, Shasha herself or the fact that she was right.
As soon and their lips touched, Gorya pulled away. She found Krystal attractive, who wouldn’t? But Gorya knew that her heart was elsewhere, no matter how hard she tried to fight it and deny it.
She had known it since the night of Shasha’s press release about the blackmail when they were back at Gorya’s place.
~~~
“You’ve been drinking. You can sleep here. There’s clothes for you to change into.”
“You’re the one inviting me to stay over this time?”Shasha smiled teasingly.
“No need to pretend,” Gorya had said upright.
Of course, Gorya knew that Shasha knew her true intentions. They were long past beating around the bush with each other.
Gorya knew Shasha well. But she didn’t expect the model to fully face her and brush her hair behind her ear with the gentlest touch and an even gentler look in her eye.
Caught off guard by how soft Shasha was being, she didn’t realise Shasha had bent down and leaned in until their lips were almost touching. Gorya never felt such a strong pull that she had been the one to close the gap between them.
Gorya wrapped her arms around Shasha’s neck, eyes closed as she felt herself falling deeper into the kiss. She felt a hand resting on her waist, pulling her in closer.
They had kissed plenty of times before but this one felt slower, more intimate almost? It was confusing to Gorya but confusing didn’t necessarily mean bad.
Shasha slowly pulled away, giving Gorya a small smile.
“Honestly, I really do want to sleepover. But maybe another time.”
Gorya just looked at her. Was this really the same model that had been trying to get Gorya to sleep with her since they had known each other?
“I want today to end just like this. It feels right. Sometimes a beer, a good conversation, and a sweet kiss from a pretty girl is better than sex.”
Gorya didn’t know what to say or how to react. It’s not that she was upset she didn’t get to have her way with Shasha, she was just surprised at her response.
Her eyebrows furrowed. For the first time since they met, Shasha wasn’t playing with her for once, she was being serious.
“I’ll head home now, okay? Thank you, for everything.”
Shasha leaned down once again to give Gorya the softest, faintest peck on the lips. Gorya would’ve held her back and given her a proper kiss if she wasn’t still trying to process Shasha’s behaviour right now.
Instead, Gorya just watched as Shasha gave her one last smile, the most sincere smile she’s seen from her, as she walked away.
Now that Shasha was gone, she could finally feel the beat of her heart slamming against her chest, louder than before, so loud that she couldn’t ignore it like she had done before.
Heat spread through her body and crept up her neck and cheeks and unfortunately for her, she knew, she knew what that meant.
“Ah, fuck.”
She took a swig of her beer.
~~~
Gorya snapped out of her thoughts as she approached Shasha’s door. A few knocks and a second later, the door opened, as if Shasha was waiting for her, expecting her.
Because she was.
“Gorya.”
“Krystal asked me out.”
Like she said, they were long past beating around the bush.
“What did you tell her?”
She could sense Shasha was pretending to be nonchalant which would’ve made her burst out laughing if this whole situation wasn’t a ridiculous plot.
She could’ve given Shasha the easy answer, but that’s not what Gorya came here for. She wanted something else, she wanted Shasha to be the one to say it first.
It’s only right after all the stunts she’s been pulling throughout their whole relationship.
“What do you want my answer to be?” Gorya challenged.
Shasha shrugged, aloof. “Just say what you really feel, I don’t care.”
That pissed her off.
“Shasha, I’m not stupid, I know this whole thing was your plan. So now that I’m here, you tell me what it is you really want from me so we can stop playing these games.”
She could tell that that took Shasha aback. She could see her eyes widen slightly, but she regained composure.
“Okay, fine, I like you,” she said, playing it cool.
Gorya scoffed. “Tell me something I don’t know, you’ve been saying that since day one.”
At this point, Gorya was losing hope that she would get the answer she wanted. She was tired and if this wasn’t going anywhere, she wasn’t going to entertain it.
She turned on her heel and was a bout to leave when Shasha broke.
“Wait!”
Gorya stopped but didn’t turn around. She wanted to give Shasha a chance to prove her wrong.
“No one has made me feel the way you do, is that what you want to hear?” Shasha called out. “Do you want me to act as if you’re the leading lady in a romantic film? ‘Cuz I will.”
Gorya slowly turned to face her, breathing in deep. She would be lying if she said she wasn’t nervous to hear what Shasha had to say.
“You know me, everything comes easy, money, jobs, status, women.”
Gorya raised her brow at that last one but decided to keep her mouth shut and see where this leads.
“I always get everything I want and then I saw you. The way you stood up to that photographer, it was amazing, something I could never do for myself.”
The hard edge to her gaze softened as she recalled Shasha’s past.
Shasha chuckled softly. “So imagine my surprise when the one woman I was the most interested in wasn’t interested in me at all. None of my usual tricks worked, if anything, they did the opposite. I had to work so hard just to get you to even look at me. The more I had to chase, the more intrigued I was.”
Shasha stepped closer.
“But that’s just scratching the surface. Once I started getting to know you, I felt the world I had built for myself starting to collapse. I never wanted to be in a relationship, I liked my freedom, but suddenly, all I could think about was you. I thought I’d be scared of that change but what scared me more was that I didn’t care, because it was you. So I let myself be scared because I knew you were worth it.”
Gorya gulped as she listened.
“So what if other women threw themselves at me, so what if they complimented and flirted, none of that mattered ‘cuz it wasn’t you. If I entertained it, it was only because I wanted to see if you cared the same way I did. You’re the only one that throws me off my game but you’re also the only person that actually makes me feel like I’m important somehow.”
Shasha ran a hand through her hair as she moved in closer.
“Fuck, Gorya, you’re gorgeous, you’re smart, you put up with my bullshit, you’re caring and understanding even when I hadn’t done anything to deserve that from you. Sometimes I feel like I don’t even deserve you at all but what else am I supposed to do or say when I’ve never felt my heart scream at me the way it does when I’m around you.”
Gorya was elated, she would’ve launched herself into Shasha’s arms but she held back, there was one more thing she needed to hear.
“What are you trying to say, Shasha?”
Shasha groaned, knowing damn well that Gorya got the idea but still wanted her to say it anyway.
“Fuck it, I’ll say it, I’ll say it as many times as you want me to because I want you. I want you so much it hurts me to think that you wouldn’t want me back. I want you to the point it feels like I need you.”
Desperation was dripping as she spoke, breathless by the end of her declaration.
“I want you, Gorya, only you.”
Shasha took her hand delicately and Gorya let her.
“Do you want me too?”
Gorya looked down and sighed before looking up at the woman standing before her, vulnerable and perfect.
“You idiot.”
Without warning, Gorya wrapped her arms around Shasha’s neck and yanked her down so their lips could meet. It was harsh at first, lips smashed against the other, bursting with all the emotions that had been bottled up over the months.
Shasha recovered from the sudden attack and quickly wrapped her arms around Gorya, hugging her so securely yet gently. The kiss slowed down into a sweeter one and Gorya couldn’t help but giggle against Shasha’s lips at the high she was getting from the rush of emotions.
One of Shasha’s arms wrapped around Gorya’s waist as her other hand cupped Gorya’s soft cheek, kissing her as if she wouldn’t get the chance to ever again.
Gorya didn’t complain, she slung her arm around Shasha’s neck and crept her free hand down to Shasha’s chest. She could feel how hard her heart was pounding.
“Careful, you might get a heart attack,” Gorya giggled and teased.
“At least you’ll know I’m not lying about you.”
Gorya smiled and pulled away, much to Shasha’s chagrin, but that was quickly resolved when she tugged on Shasha’s hand, leading her upstairs.
“Let’s take this elsewhere,” Gorya said coyly. “Let me show you how much I want you too.”
Shasha grinned and followed her to the bedroom.
She finally got her girl.
