Chapter Text
Four seasons.
All they had were four seasons.
It was unfair so unfair, why must he always be the one who has to let go? Why can he never hold onto anyone in his life?
If it always had to end this way, he wishes he had never even met any of the people he had to lose. He really doesn’t.
“Roksoo. Roksoo, listen to me.” A firm voice commanded.
He flinched when he felt a hand brush his tears from his face. (Had he… been crying?)
Roksoo’s eye, snapped from the hand to face of the man lying on the ground. Thames had never been so pale, never had his touch felt so cold, nor had he ever looked so disheveled.
Thames was the kind of man with perfectly kept hair, always at ease, and always looking a step away from stepping onto a runway. His touch had always felt like a furnace, never so cold, nor had Roksoo even seen him so pale. He shouldn’t be so pale after spending so long under the sun fighting monsters and training, he never was the pale type. So why was he pale now. Why can’t Roksoo ever save anyone.
“Roksoo… hah… listen to me. This isn’t the end you hear me?” Thames said with a smirk only to end up coughing.
“Stop, stop. Shut up, shut up, you bastard,” why did his throat feel so heavy? why was his vision so blurry? Record whirred in the background.
“I can fix this, ok? Ok? I need to do something; I must do something.” Why is nothing working!
“Roksoo you can’t fix this,” the voice said in a barely there whisper.
“You bastard you promised me, you promised you won’t leave me,” he shouted, “you can’t do this to me.” Record silently recorded the sobs, as quiet as ever.
“Hah, you brat,” Thames let out an exasperated sigh, or perhaps he was simply trying to not cough up blood.
“In the next life you hear me? In the next life, I’ll be very rich and I’ll let you live your slacker life. All you’ll need to do is eat, sleep, and look pretty.”
“But for now you’ll have to stay safe and take care of yourself. Listen to your hyung, hmm? Roksoo, roksoo you must stay so happy because you deserve everything. Hyung will stay with you, no matter what the bastard go-” Thames broke out into coughs, blood as vibrant as his hair, staining his shirt, “no matter what, I’ll be here.”
Thames didn’t say the words he always told Roksoo, perhaps in his attempt to be merciful, but all it felt was cruel.
And like everything in his life, Roksoo couldn’t keep this, just like how he had lost every precious thing in his life.
