A new home.

Summary:

Yi saw his life pass through his eyes.

He was happy with this result.
He would join his sister soon.

But he didn't.

...

Inspired in Indie Cross, because i think these two are an interesting match.

Notes:

If you think Yi is a bit out of character it's because he's still processing the facts of being alive, with time he'll go back to his old self.

Chapter 1: Pharloom

Chapter Text

I pull my needle out of the small machine.

I turn around quickly and avoid an incoming attack.

Where do these things come from?

I jump and infuse my needle with silk throwing it forward. Another machine falls to the ground as several more appear in front.

I reach into my cloak and grab a few pimpillos and a voltvessel snapping it on two and throwing it forward along side the pimpillos.

I been fighting for a while now and they just keep on coming.

I consider the option of running away, but i don't know if they're here for me or for something else, either way i can't let them enter bellhart, they're dangerous.

Two bigger machines appear and go directly at me swinging their arms.

I'm barely able to block and redirect the first one with my needle but i fail to react and the second one hits me on the side throwing me backwards.

I grunt as i slowly get up into position and draw my needle.

Who are they? Are they from the city of steel?

I stare at them, I'm clearly outnumbered. I don't know how long I'll last if i keep on fighting like this.

One of the bigger ones charges at me and i manage to cross stich it. Piercing it multiple times. I pull a few cogwheels and throw them directly at it.
But it just dodges them.

The second one charges this time. Jumping in the air heading directly at me. I grab a sting shard and throw it before throwing my needle to a safe zone and pulling myself to it.

These enemies don't have any soul. How's that possible? Even the machines from the citadel had soul in them. I'm running out of silk.

It's then when i see something quick go against the smaller machines in the back.

I can hear the sound of machines getting trashed and a familiar voice.

"POSHANKA"

Shakra goes through the smaller machines giving kicks and punches everywhere. Throwing rings and moving around quickly.

The bigger machines get distracted by the sound and it's when i see the chance.

...

I concentrate.

And i start thinking about my worst condition.

And then... I feel it moving weakly in me.

...

I start running towards the first bigger machine caught it off guard and thrust him with all the force i have letting my needle deep into his body i use it to get in his back.

It's then when they come out from my back, those roots i once wanted to get rid off.

They go out wildly and grab the machine by it's arms and head pulling them until they crack to the pressure and disconnect from the body.

Once I'm done i try to catch my breath but the second one grabs my cloak and throws me against the wall.

I gather the last silk i have on myself and let it flow wildly around me. The machine jumps before it gets too damaged and instead goes for Shakra.

I kneel on the floor, even for her this will be too much i reach into my cloak for more tools and that's when something falls.

The gift from The gilded knight...

I quickly snap it open and start binding and healing my wounds. Seems i have enough for a few spells left.

I gather my needle and run towards Shakra.

I see her turn around just in time to notice and dodge the swing the machine gives.

"GARAMA"

i scream grabbing my silkshot from my cloak.

The machine turns around and i pull the trigger. A thing light goes directly through its head.

The machine gives a few steps back but doesn't go down.

That's when Shakra hits it from the bottom sending it flying into the air. I take the opportunity to jump into the air and impulse myself higher with my cloak. I throw my needle and stab the machine as i pull myself towards it.

Once I'm face to face I take out a voltvessel and stab it right in the face jumping away from the body as i do.

The voltvessel and the machine explode at the same time in a daze of purple.

I turn around and see the smaller machines approaching. I glance at Shakra who is still on her claws. We nod at each other.
As she jumps and throws rings to the machines i stay behind and focus my silk into runes.

The area us covered in silk explosions, robots fuming, rings bouncing and the sound of clashing.

I throw my own matching rings along a few other tools. Though most of them get avoided or parried a good amount of them deal enough damage to destroy a few machines.

And just like that. We're done.

We stay in guard a few more seconds, waiting for more machines to appear, but they never do. And when they don't we are finally able to breath.

"Thanks for the aid Shakra, without you i would've had serious problems"

"Worry not Hornet Wielding Needle, i could never leave a fellow warrior to fend for themselves. These Machines though, do you know their origin? They were quite the strong opponents"

"i do not, not even the citadel had technology like this, but i intend to find their origin"

As we both turn around and head back to bellhart we hear a weird noise.

We turn around and see a light.

A red light shining wildly.

We get ready for another fight but... The light shines even more. Red... Pink... Green and then.

It explodes. A small explosion that throws something out before the light disappears.

Once the dust settles we approach carefully and find a beast.

A white fluffy beast covered in yellow clothing.
