Chapter Text
At Ravian Building (A-Class Guide), Hunter/Esper Management Bureau, Ravian sat on one of the waiting benches with a dead look on his face while staring at the floor. (Why the hell did I have to awaken as a Guide? I don’t wanna freaking suck dick, bro. Maybe I should just dip.) The second he stood up and tried to leave, the receptionist suddenly called his name. “Uhm… Ravian Leclair Arde?” (Fuck.) Ravian took tiny nervous steps before finally walking toward the room anyway.
The inside looked straight out of some sci-fi movie. Hologram scans floated everywhere, glowing monitors filled with matching percentages covered the walls, and blue lights flickered around the machines. Ravian sat down while one of the staff pricked his finger with a needle and dropped his blood into the scanner. (Please let it be a girl. Please. Please. Bro I’m normal, c’mon.) After a few minutes, several staff members walked into the room. Why did they all look so damn serious? Ravian immediately got nervous again but still followed their instructions and sat quietly. “So… what’s the result? Do I have a match or not?” One of the staff members let out a long sigh before speaking. “Uh… first of all, my name’s Sierra Atherial. I’ll be your assigned doctor from now on. And yeah, you do have a match… but honestly, I don’t even know how the hell this happened.” Ravian frowned. (What do you mean ‘how this happened wait hold on. DID SHE SAY THEY?!) “Sorry, what do you mean by they?” Sierra adjusted her glasses with the same tired expression. “No, you heard me right. There are two people matched with you. Ugh, how do I even explain this… You know Theodore Evander Croix and Ethan Alaric Reinhart, right?” Who the hell didn’t know them? The two legendary S-Class Espers. Their charisma alone made female Guides lose their minds. Tons of people wanted them, but compatibility with them was insanely rare. The highest anyone ever got was around twenty percent. (There’s no freaking way…) Ravian was still deep in denial. “Yeah I know them, but why are you telling me this?” Sierra rubbed her forehead. “Vian… I seriously don’t know how this shit is possible, but your compatibility with them is 94.07%.” Silence. “You’re legally required to become both of their Guide partners.” (What the fuck. What the fuck. WHAT THE FUCK. Oh my god just kill me already. Nah screw this, I’m running.) Ravian instantly stood up and bolted out of the room. “RAVIAN WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GOING?!” Sierra yelled behind him, but Ravian kept sprinting without looking where he was going untilBAM. He crashed straight into something solid. “Fuck! That hurt like hell” He slowly looked up. (My luck is actually dogshit.) “Yo, you okay? Kinda your fault though, you ran into me.” “Bro leave him alone, the kid already looks traumatized because of you.” The curly-haired guy reached out a hand to help Ravian up. “Nice to mee-” Before Ethan could even finish talking, Ravian immediately took off running again. “The hell’s wrong with that dude?” Theo asked. “Why you asking me, dumbass?” and then “RAVIAAAAN COME BACK HERE DON’T RUN AGAIN!!” A brown-haired woman sprinted past Theo and Ethan while chasing Ravian. Theo blinked. “Wait… wasn’t that our Guide?” Ethan’s eyes widened. “Oh shit yeah. LET’S GO.” The two S-Class Espers immediately chased after him too. After running for almost two minutes, Sierra was already dying from exhaustion. “HEY WAIT aren’t you idiots TELEPORTERS?! WHY ARE YOU RUNNING?!” Theo and Ethan both froze before slowly looking at each other. “…Oh right.” Theo immediately activated his dark shadow ability. The entire area around them darkened unnaturally before both of them vanished into the shadows and reappeared directly behind Ravian. Ravian was bent over trying to catch his breath. “Goddammit… why the hell did I even run…” “Yeah,” Theo said casually from behind him, “why did you run?” “Because I met those two bastard Espers! I’d rather die than become their Guide!” “Wait, why though?” The voice this time sounded calmer. Gentler. “I’m straight, bro. I like girls.” “Okay but Theodore Evander Croix and Ethan Alaric Reinhart are hot as hell though. Like damn, if I were you I’d say yes immediately.” Ravian immediately turned around in disgust. (Shit, how did I not notice them earlier?!) He instantly tried to run again, but the exit was already blocked by the two giant Espers. (I’m cooked.) “Just come with us already,” Theo said with an annoying grin. “We don’t bite.” Ethan grabbed Ravian’s wrist and instantly teleported the three of them back into the matching center room Ravian escaped from earlier. “Wow, amazing. You actually found him,” Sierra muttered while fixing her hair. “And you—don’t run again.” (How the hell am I supposed to run with two giant dudes next to me?) “Uh, sorry Dr. Sierra,” Ethan said politely, “but why are we here again?” “Ah, my apologies. You’ll be discussing your partnership agreement.” Before they could ask further, Sierra continued, “So basically, you’ll need to establish boundaries and rules between Guides and Espers. Relationships, privacy, living conditions, all that stuff needs mutual agreement.” She paused before casually dropping the biggest bomb possible. “Oh, and Ravian? You’ll be living with them. No exceptions.” At Ravian’s apartment, loud crashing noises could be heard from inside his room. “FUCK! WHY ME?!” Ravian yelled while aggressively stuffing clothes into his suitcase. His phone suddenly buzzed. He got a text from Theo {I'm coming to help you get your stuff}, {do what you want bro.} .Theo and Ethan still carried all his stuff .
When they arrived at Theo and Ethan’s place, Ravian genuinely thought calling it a house felt illegal. It was more like a freaking mansion. The mansion belonging to Theodore Evander Croix and Ethan Alaric Reinhart stood inside an elite private district that didn’t even exist on public maps. Massive black gates guarded the property alongside high-level Esper security systems and sensors. The entire mansion screamed modern luxury. Black, white, and dark gray dominated the design while giant glass walls covered most of the building, showing the city lights perfectly at night. The front yard was absurdly clean, almost fake-looking, complete with a long reflective pool glowing with dim blue lights beneath the water. When they reached the second floor, Ravian spotted a sauna room. The lighting inside was low and warm, reflecting softly against black stone walls and dark wooden panels, making the room feel calm but ridiculously expensive. Hot steam filled the air and created a thin fog across the room. One side had a giant glass wall overlooking the city skyline at night while water droplets clung to the surface of the glass. The only sounds inside were the soft humming of the sauna machine and the occasional drip of water echoing through the room. Wide wooden benches stretched along the walls while clean white towels, cold water bottles, and a digital temperature panel sat neatly in one corner. Finally, Ravian entered his personal bedroom with Theo and Ethan following behind while carrying his luggage. The room itself was pretty dark with navy-colored wallpaper and dim ambient lighting, but one thing immediately caught Ravian’s attention. “…Why the hell is my bed wet?” Ethan blinked before answering casually, “The bed’s infused with a calming ability. It helps Guides relax and recharge faster.” Ravian stared at the suspiciously watery bed in silence before looking back at the two rich bastards standing behind him. “…Man what kinda rich people bullshit is this.”
