Ok so maybe his plan wasn’t going exactly right but it was finee , all he had to do was just steal the documents,hack into the server and remove all traces , so no one would be the wiser that was fine he could do that
Ughh how had he even ended up in this situation just a few hours ago all he had to do was finish off one essay ONE , and now he was in a member of the league of spiders house , a supposedly dead one so far and about to be surrounded by the not so dead ones that were visiting ughh curse u stupid Ras and ur stupid faulty information
But it really was his fault for not double checking but could ya blame him he was on basically two? one?? Who cares?, hours of sleep
“Corv you copy?”Pru’s voice came from the comms mildly exhausted like she hadn‘t adjusted completely to normal breathing after her mad dash trying to lure as many of them away before they noticed him
“Yup almost at the desk shouldn't take too long how you holding up? Lost em?” He asked rushing to the home office , they probably lost her which meant they were about to start looking shit.
“ Hm almost they're right behind me, mind finishing faster you know before I have to fight em all by myself?”
“ Ya ya i hear ya I’m already in just gotta hide my tracks and hopefully they won't notice “
“ Ok heard ya loud and clear boss , you need what? five minutes?”
“ Yep pretty much “
“ Gotcha” and with that she clicked off and it was back to silence which was fine since he was almost done anyways anddd done
Right then he heard a noise near the door shitt he did not need them to know he was here welp time to become one with the shadows
The guy entered he was relatively buff and had a couple scars on his face one eye blank he was probably turned in his thirties but there was no telling what age he was now
Man how he wished he was back at home sketching some new designs with Dami painting one of his many pets nearby , he apparently had the topic of animal sketches
Overall he just wished he was anywhere but here and that‘s when he noticed Pru bounding out of through the hall followed by one, two ,three, four, five spiders
As soon as the guy left he went right after them honestly it kinda resembled a looney tunes chase with Pru slowly acquiring more and more of what looked with souvenirs which he assumed she acquired from the various to rooms she kept entering and tossing them at the goons nvm this was definitely a Scooby doo chase or maybe mario eitherways he decided to throw one of his signature daggers at one of the guys to get they‘re attention and Pru’s before bleeding into the shadows
Pru took this as her signal to bolt and the spiders were left to stare at their two dead brethren ehh they'll come back anyways
“ That could’ve gone soo much better preferably with less running and i mean god damn “ said Pru
“ On the brightside i did get in and everythings sorted out which means we can finally get home” with that they both caught they‘re breathe and started to make it to the plane that Ras so happily appointed .
The plane ride home was pretty quiet none of them really having the energy to talk just enjoying the peaceful silence and each other’s presence until
“ What excuse did you give your family this time?”
“ Huh?” asked Tim startled andd then his brain supplied to him that he didn‘t say anything just left oh he was soo screwed
“ Please tell me you didn‘t forget"
“ Um well do you want me to lie?”
“ Oh you're so screwed”
That's when he got the bright idea to check his phone and suprisingly nothing maybe the gods finally had pity on him and nope he just had aeroplane mode on ,fuckk
Welp he didn’t need to check it now anyways besides he was only gone like 5 hours not like they can be thatt worried i mean he was gone like 3 months with no contact
