Night had fallen over the sky, the streetlights had been fitted with orange and red bulbs, and laughter, shouts, and hateful noise-making toys could be heard all around, That only means one thing: Halloween had arrived in Hometown, and there was no one who looked forward to this holiday more than the heroine with hope crossed on her heart, The most feared by adults and children alike, The scariest monster in town: Susie!
She and Kris spent all week preparing for this occasion, planning very hard what to dress up as this year, and after much brainstorming, they got their perfect costumes
Kris came out from their room with an incredible look. thanks to Toriel's makeup, Asriel's old clothes, and their knife, they ripped their brother's clothes (which, come on, it's not like he's going to use them) and got a great zombie cosplay, they even had a Spot-on walk for their costume!
Susie was waiting for them in the living room, And she was totally impressed with their costume
-"Wow dude! I didn't know you had so much talent for this stuff!" She said in surprise
After they arrived, Susie began to confidently show off her Santa Claus costume! Complete with a cute little red hat
-"Y'know, I thought it would be funny to have an ironic costume" She said confidently
-"So...what's for tonight's plan? Do you just want to ask for candy? Visit Ralsei?" She began to ask questions with interest
-"...or would you like to cause some trouble?" She said, a malicious smile forming on her face
-"Don't answer that, I know we're thinking the exact same thing" she said, maintaining her smile and showing her teeth much more
-"LET'S GO DUMBASS!!" With energy, She quickly grabbed Kris's arm and started running towards the door; it was time to have some fu-
-"Oh! Kris! Susie!" A voice interrupted them just as Susie grabbed the doorknob
-YEEEAAAAAHH????" Susie said, taken aback
Toriel approached them; she was wearing a very pretty witch costume, A witch's hat that let her horns stick out and she carried a broom in one hand
-"Are you two already leaving?" She asked with interest
-"uhh...Yeah! Sure, We were just about to go get some candy" Susie replied calmly
-"Hmm...and you think your pockets can hold that much candy?" Toriel replied, gesturing to the two of their outfits
Oh, right...they had forgotten the most important thing when asking for candy: a basket
-"Wait for me a moment!" She said, as she headed towards the second-floor stairs
Toriel went up to the second floor to her room, and from there she took out 2 objects: An orange Halloween basket shaped like Ice-E's head, And a large white sack
Toriel returned to them, giving Kris the basket and Susie the sack
-"A good Santa needs his sack of presents!" she said, letting out a giggle
-"Great, thanks Toriel!" Susie said gratefully
-"Okay Kris, let's go!"
Susie grabbed Kris's arm again and they went out the door; now it was time to have some fun.
Kris and Susie went from house to house asking for candy, mainly to the apartments to the left of Sans' market, They deliberately omitted some houses, such as the Cattenheimer's, not only because the family was weird as hell, but because if Catti had been there, she would have shut the door on them, Or she would have thrown the candy in their faces, or, in the worst case scenario, some of the candy they were given would come with a curse
Some places gave out better candy than others, for example, The diner gave away bread rolls in different shapes, like bats, pumpkins, and more; at the hospital, they only gave them mints (although they would be useful in the Dark World); and in Sans'...They gave them little packets of ketchup
Was that disappointing? absolutely, but hey, you can't expect much from a guy with a janitor's salary who's the only employee at the store
But at least...this gave Susie and Kris a great idea for a prank, god, it was going to be so good
They used the ketchup packets on the sidewalk, spreading them out well so that it looked like a large stain of dried blood
Once that was done, Kris lay face down in the center of the red stain, looking as if they died horribly
Meanwhile, Susie hid in a nearby bush to watch the spectacle that was about to unfold
In the distance, the voices of two of their classmates could be heard: Snowy and Monster Teen, they were disguised as the other one
-"C'mon pal! Stop being such a weenie! It wasn't that scary" Snowy said in a mocking tone
-"I wasn't scared! It's just that...wait, what's that?" Monster Teen said, answering grumpily, But then they asked, confused, after noticing something as they walked
Both of them got goosebumps when they saw Kris's supposed corpse with the large red stain on the ground; a look of shock crossed their faces
-"Oh my god!! Kris! Are they okay!?" Monster Teen said in a very worried tone as they bent down to try to check on Kris
-"Don't get so close! We don't know how humans act in a state like this!" Snowy replied, failing miserably to try to remain calm
-"Dude, It's Kris! W-we can leave them like t-this!" Monster teen said fearfully
Suddenly, a faint moan was heard...The two moved closer to try and understand if Kris was saying anything
The soft moans slowly transformed into a soft groan, and then...
RRAAAGHH!!!
Kris stood up slightly, trying to scratch the kids who were approaching them, Monster Teen jumped so high from the scare they nearly jumped out of their skin, dodging the scratch
The two kids ran away terrified, their hearts pounding in their chests. As they fled, Monster Teen tripped face-first onto the ground, but they quickly got up to continue running away
A loud laugh was heard as the Christmas monster emerged from its hiding place
"-HAHAHHA!!! DUDE! That was Awesome!" Susie, still laughing, praised Kris for their excellent performance
-"I think I get now why Noelle was so scared when you guys were kids, your pranks are brutal" Susie said with a sense of accomplishment
-"Wait...now that I think about it..." Susie began to question some of what she had said, until the idea hit her.
-"We have to visit Noelle!"
