The lucky star

Summary:

Isagi knows German because he likes the Munchen team. When Isagi had the chance to go to Germany to watch a football match, his favorite player, Kaiser, wasn't playing. He almost collapsed until he noticed the person completely covered up next to him was Kaiser!!!!

Work Text:

"I got it! I got it!" A joyful shout echoed throughout the house, startling even Mrs. Iyo, who was cooking in the kitchen.

"Yocchan, are you alright?" She stood at the bottom of the stairs, looking up worriedly to ask.

"Oh, it's nothing!" Isagi quickly replied after recovering from his excitement.

At that moment, he turned back to look at the computer screen. The words "Ticket purchase successful" were still brightly displayed, as if to confirm that it wasn't a dream. Isagi stood frozen for a few seconds, then his eyes welled up with tears.

All those nights were spent staying up late, checking the time, comparing seats, hunting for good deals on tickets… it all paid off in the end.

"Lady Luck has finally smiled upon me…" He chuckled, his hands clenching tightly as if unable to contain his joy.

Oh, Kaiser, I am coming to see you!

Michael Kaiser, the star striker of the Bastard Munchen youth team and one of the standout names of the new Eleven generation, and Isagi is a passionate little fan.

Initially, Isagi only admired Noel Noa, but one day he accidentally stumbled upon a video of young players performing, and everything changed. The moment Kaiser unleashed his Kaiser Impact shot, Isagi almost instantly fell in love. From then on, his pursuit of Kaiser officially began, and remarkably, it was even more intense than his time following Noa.

*Cough... cough.*

Why say that? The reason is simple. Isagi himself admitted that Kaiser was both a great footballer and incredibly handsome, to the point that he couldn't resist him. Furthermore, Kaiser was only two years older than him, a close enough age gap for Isagi to feel like he could catch up to, or even surpass, him.

It's just a pity that…

Despite watching and analyzing every frame of Kaiser Impact's ultimate move countless times, Isagi was still unable to recreate it.

Gradually, it became an unshakeable obsession in his heart.

"Aaaaaa!! There will be a day when I conquer you!!!" That's Isagi, back then, stood in the middle of the training ground and shouted, full of resentment.

Since then, he has been closely following all the news about the Bastard München youth team. The young boy even decided to take up learning German just so he could understand all the interviews, videos, etc., because he couldn't bear to miss out just because he didn't understand what people were saying.

Isagi occasionally buys merchandise to support Kaiser's achievements, but only small items because his meager budget doesn't allow it. However, he does a lot of effort to boost video views, but it's limited to football techniques. Isagi wants to learn them, but his limited physical strength prevents him from doing so.

The teenager was heartbroken!

Fortunately, tickets to watch youth team matches are more affordable than those for the first team. Therefore, Isagi had long harbored a dream of attending a live match.

And now

That dream… finally came true.

That evening, during family dinner, Isagi couldn't hide his excitement as he shared the good news with his parents.

"So that's the reason for the shouting this afternoon?" Iyo giggled, causing Isagi to immediately blush with embarrassment.

"It's true that when Yocchan is determined, he can do anything," Issei said with a congratulatory smile, then added, "When is that match?"

“Hmm… I remember it’s about three months from now. That’s enough time for me to prepare everything,” Isagi replied, his voice full of excitement.

"Yocchan, do you have enough money? Enough to go meet your crush, or do you need some extra funding from Mom?" Iyo asked, resting her chin on her hand and teasing him.

"Mom!! I was just watching a proper soccer game!" Isagi jumped up, reacting like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

"Oh, I didn't say anything~" Mrs. Iyo still smiled meaningfully.

"But I'm sure you’ll be alright, right? After all, Yocchan knows German." His father reassured him.

"Yes, I'm fine. I'm grown up now, I can take care of myself." Isagi nodded confidently.

After that meal, Isagi practically threw himself into the preparations. From getting a visa, booking accommodation early, making a list of places he wanted to visit… to the most important thing: plane tickets.

Without a plane ticket… he probably has no choice but to swim to Germany.

Three months passed slowly, but also filled with anticipation.

And then that day finally arrived.

Right now, Isagi is standing at the airport, his suitcase neatly beside him, his heart pounding with a mixture of nervousness and excitement.

"Be careful, Yocchan." his mother cautioned.

"Don't follow strangers, okay? I'm afraid you'll get tricked!" Issei's father said worriedly.

"Dad!! I'm not that easily fooled!" Isagi clutched his forehead, feeling both embarrassed and helpless.

"Okay, okay, we know you're smart." Iyo gently patted her son's shoulder. "Remember to text us when you arrive."

"Have a wonderful trip, son." They both smiled, their eyes gently bidding him farewell.

But life isn't always a dream.

Just when everything was ready, and Isagi had even made it to the other side of the globe, he received devastating news: Kaiser would be absent from the match due to injury.

Isagi's smile froze on his lips. His face changed from cheerful to bewildered, then to disbelief, and finally to horror.

As a result, he lay sprawled on the bed like a dead fish, his eyes vacant, staring at the ceiling, his whole body numb from the overwhelming shock.

“OAAAAAAAA!!!!! Why!!! Why are you treating me like this??!!!” A desperate scream echoed throughout the hotel room.

Isagi felt resentful and disappointed. He had finally managed to buy a ticket to see his idol, and this was what happened.

Ha ha.

But then, after a moment of stunned silence, the little one gradually regained his composure. After all, the tickets had already been paid. Not going to see it would be a heartbreaking waste.

"It's okay. It's okay. Ness's still on the field, at least I can still watch the magician play." He patted his cheek, muttering as if hypnotized. But deep down, he couldn't hide the feeling of disappointment.

The following evening, Isagi dressed neatly and prepared everything carefully before heading to the stadium. Luckily, the match was in the evening, so the weather was quite pleasant. The next morning, he took the opportunity to stroll around Berlin, visiting several famous landmarks and, most importantly, collecting quite a few souvenirs related to Bastard Munich.

And what's more... it's cheap too!

That alone was enough to lift Isagi's spirits considerably.

Upon entering the stands, the atmosphere was incredibly lively. Cheers, laughter, flags, and team jerseys covered everything, all blending together to create an atmosphere so vibrant it made one's heart race.

Isagi quickly found his seat.

As soon as he sat down, he couldn't help but exclaim that watching live was completely different from watching on a screen. The sound, the lights, the emotions of thousands of people around him, everything was so vivid and overwhelming.

That moment reminded Isagi of the first time he watched football as a child, an experience that opened up a completely new path in his life.

Just as the players began to walk onto the field to the sound of their introductions, someone sat down in the seat next to Isagi.

He instinctively turned to look.

All he sees is  a young man dressed unusually conservatively: a thick coat, a hood, and a face mask covering almost his entire face.

"...Isn't it hot?" Isagi blurted out unconsciously, his eyes filled with confusion.

But then, he immediately reminded himself, "I'm a good boy, I shouldn't stare at other people because that's impolite."

Isagi quickly forced himself to refocus on the match. But after only about twenty minutes, his mouth completely betrayed him.

"What kind of game is that striker playing!!! How could he waste Ness's pass like that!!! If Kaiser were here, it wouldn't have been like this!..." And then came a torrent of endless grumbling in Japanese that even he couldn't control.

That being said, Isagi wasn't the type to criticize without reason. Right now, he had unconsciously activated Metavision to analyze the match. And that only made him more frustrated. The positions that should have been occupied were empty.

"It's true that without Kaiser, Bastard Munchen decided to change their lineup, so their attacking capabilities have noticeably weakened. It seems like they're only aiming to defend this game, then look for opportunities to score one or two goals to finish," Isagi muttered, his eyes fixed on the pitch.

For some reason, Kaiser began to notice the person next to him. The teenager wasn't as boisterous as the other fans; in fact, he seemed quite quiet, occasionally muttering to himself.

"This kid must be from Asia." His small stature, dark blue hair, and unfamiliar language only reinforced his suspicion.

Even though he didn't fully understand everything Isagi said, just hearing a few names like "Ness"... or even his own name, was enough for him to guess that the kid was analyzing the match.

Finally, Kaiser gently tapped the teenager on the shoulder, initiating a conversation in German, his tone casual as if it didn't matter whether the other person understood or not.

"Why do you look so upset? Isn't Bastard still leading?"

Isagi was also startled by the sudden conversation. His eyes widened in surprise, clearly not expecting the person next to him to strike up a conversation.

"...Are you talking to me?" he asked again in German, still a little bewildered.

"Yes." Kaiser was quite surprised that the teenager could speak his language.

Isagi hesitated for a moment, but then simply thought that the other person was just a curious spectator. So he briefly explained his thoughts about the match.

"I think the forwards on the field aren't utilizing their full potential for the team, like Kaiser. They could be moving like this..."

At this point, Isagi's eyes immediately changed; he became focused and bright. And, as usual, he began to speak at length, almost forgetting that he was talking to a stranger.

Kaiser listened silently beside him. But the more he listened, the more his expression changed. Because what Isagi said was exactly what he had seen, what he could have done if he had been on the field.

"From a viewer's perspective, you're giving a pretty professional look. Are you a football player too?" the person next to him asked, his voice tinged with curiosity.

"Of course. If I wasn't going to play, why would I come here to watch? It's just... I can't bear to see Kaiser on the field..." Isagi confided sadly, his voice noticeably subdued.

"Are you...a fan of Kaiser?" Kaiser paused slightly. He hadn't expected his luck; how could he, out of thousands of people, easily find himself sitting next to such a small fan, and a fan who could be considered a rough gem waiting to be polished into something sharp and pure.

"That's right. That's right." Isagi immediately nodded repeatedly.

“I waited so long to book tickets to watch it live. And… how could it be, as soon as I arrived in Berlin, the club announced Kaiser wouldn’t be participating…!” Isagi sighed, clearly still in shock. Seeing someone willing to listen, he honestly shared his feelings. He simply thought that the person sitting next to him was also a fan of Bastard München, so they would surely understand this feeling of disappointment.

"...I'm truly sorry for your loss." Kaiser didn't know what else to say. He was the main character in the story the little boy was telling, and he is listening to all that.

Hearing that, Isagi only felt more hurt and resentful.

"But won't there be other opportunities to see him play? Kaiser is a key player in the youth team, so he'll naturally participate in many other matches."

Isagi shook his head.

"It's not that simple. I think you guessed I'm a foreigner, right?" Kaiser nodded slightly.

"I'm just a high school student, so I don't have much money, and going to watch matches abroad is very expensive. I've been saving up for a long time to be able to go to this match. Besides, who knows, next time I go, Kaiser might have made it to the first team? First-team tickets are really much more expensive!!"

The person next to him was silent for a moment, then asked again.

"Do you really believe Kaiser can get into the first team so quickly? If it were him, it would probably take a few more years. And even if he did, he wouldn't be guaranteed a starting striker position because Noel Noa is still in charge of the first team."

Hearing this, Isagi immediately shook his head, almost without thinking.

"No. I believe he can do it." His voice was firm.

“I believe that with his abilities, Kaiser can definitely do it. If Bastard’s first team can’t be the stage to showcase his skills, then I believe there will be somewhere else that will. Kaiser shouldn’t be suppressed just because Noa-sama is better.” Isagi’s eyes lit up, his determination almost unwavering.

Kaiser couldn't believe that, besides Ness, he had met someone who placed such complete trust in him.

Although Isagi couldn't see Kaiser's expression beneath his disguise, he sensed he was stunned, as if too surprised to respond. It was then that Isagi realized the atmosphere was somewhat… strange.

"...am I being too enthusiastic?!" Isagi scratched his cheek, asking shyly, knowing his own habit when talking about idols or football.

"No. It's just... I didn't expect anyone to like Kaiser so purely," Kaiser replied slowly.

"Why not?" Isagi immediately frowned and retorted.

"He clearly deserves to be loved not only for his amazing football talent but also for… his flawless good looks." Isagi blushed as he said the latter part.

"Oh! So you like Kaiser's face too, huh?!" Kaiser raised his eyebrows slightly, his voice tinged with amusement. He couldn't understand why he found the teenager's confession so amusing. Normally, such comments would be considered vulgar to him.

"Well…he really is handsome!" Isagi immediately retorted, though his ears were starting to turn red.

"Let me tell you something quietly, I used to like Noa-sama, but after seeing Kaiser, Noa-sama has fallen to second place in my heart. Kaiser's current appearance is exactly my type! As for Noa-sama, he has a more mature kind of beauty… so it's really hard to choose!!" Isagi rattled off, completely oblivious to the strange silence that had fallen over the person beside him.

Kaiser, hidden behind his hat and mask, could only stand there in stunned silence, never imagining that he would one day be recognized more highly than old man Noa, except that it was in terms of… good looks.

This little pervert.

"Oh, that's right!"

As if suddenly remembering something, Isagi hurriedly rummaged through his bag and carefully took out a card preserved in a small mica frame.

"Look at this! It's my treasure!!" He giggled, his eyes sparkling.

When Kaiser saw it, he could guess what it was. The card showed him in a side profile with his usual arrogant smile, wearing his familiar number 10 jersey. A few drops of sweat trickled down his face, highlighting his intense competitive spirit.

“Look? Look? Doesn’t the picture look amazing?! Isn’t this angle incredibly handsome?! Just looking at it makes me want to scream! I worked so hard to get this!” Isagi was so excited he could barely sit still. It was rare to meet someone he could so enthusiastically promote as an idol to.

“...” Kaiser fell silent for a moment. He was indeed narcissistic, but now, being asked to praise himself in front of this little boy, he felt a little embarrassed.

"This photo was taken from a match where I saw him play incredibly well, coordinating with his team to break through all the opposing defenses and even scoring a hat-trick!" Isagi continued rambling on.

"Could I borrow it?" Kaiser suddenly had an idea.

"Okay…but please handle it carefully." Isagi hesitated a little but reluctantly agreed, since the other person had been listening to him rambling on for so long.

Kaiser picked up the plastic sheet and stared at the card for a moment. Suddenly, he wondered if the kid would still be so obsessed with the card if he saw the real thing. The thought made him subtly curl his lips.

"Hey kid, would you like Kaiser to sign this card?" Kaiser asked, his voice sounding a little different.

"Of course! I could ask for it, but it's just like a pipe dream," Isagi said, grinning broadly as he spoke of this small wish.

"Which pen do you prefer to sign with? Did you bring one?"

"Yes, with a gold glitter marker. I brought one with me too." Isagi found it strange but still took it out and gave it to the other person.

Then Kaiser's lightning-fast actions caught Isagi off guard; he took the card out of the mica and put down his pen. This unexpected action terrified Isagi, who thought this seemingly kind stranger had finally revealed his true colors. He reached out to stop him, but then Isagi noticed the signature was incredibly familiar.

He woke up with a start, almost jumping up, his eyes wide, staring at the person opposite him in astonishment. Their eyes met, and at that moment, to say he didn't recognize him would mean the little sprout could just give up his title as a Kaiser fan.

"You…you are…"

"Shhh." A hint of amusement flickered in his eyes beneath the mask.

He enjoyed watching Isagi's expression at that moment; his blue eyes lit up, sparkling with a brilliant light, and most importantly, all he saw in them was Kaiser.

Isagi quickly covered his mouth, nodding frantically like a panicked little squirrel.

AAAAAAAA! Who could possibly understand how he's feeling right now?!

Isagi, I sat next to my favorite idol, and even bragged about my crush on handsome guys!!

It's okay, if I'm not bothered, then someone else might be. Isagi told himself.

"That's right, little one, I haven't even asked your name yet, we've been talking all this time?" Kaiser said, as if everything that had just happened was perfectly normal.

"It's Yoichi. Isagi Yoichi."

“…Yoichi.”

He repeated the name slowly, as if trying to memorize it.

"Why are you here? Didn't the club say you were injured?" While happy, Isagi felt a mix of panic and worry when he remembered.

"It's nothing serious, just a minor injury. I just needed to rest properly. Besides, this match wasn't too difficult, so the coach let me off the field." Kaiser chuckled.

"That was a relief!" Isagi secretly breathed a sigh of relief, knowing how important his physical condition was as a player.

"So, do you still regret not having me on the field anymore?" Kaiser tilted his head, smiling gently, teasing the teenager.

Isagi's face flushed bright red, and he shook his head, feeling like he was about to explode. The damage from that face was beyond his ability to handle!!!

"Perhaps it's fate." Isagi tilting his head in confusion.

"I can't play because of an injury, which means you can't watch me compete. Isn't that just bad luck for both of us?" Isagi unconsciously nodded. It sounded true.

Kaiser suddenly smiled softly, the stadium lights reflecting in his blue eyes, making them appear strangely gentle.

"But now I think it's a lucky star that brought us together."

At that moment, Isagi felt as if the whole world had stopped. The cheers from the stands faded into the distance, the bright lights of the stadium dimmed... everything blurred, leaving only the person in front of him.

"I'm so glad to have come here and met you, Yoichi." Kaiser leaned slightly forward, his eyes never leaving the boy.

Boom.

Isagi is officially offline.

How could his  idol utter such dangerous words in that seductive, deep voice, accompanied by that unbelievably beautiful face?! This is a crime against the hearts of fans, you know?!

In truth, Kaiser himself admitted that he was deliberately trying to seduce the little boy in front of him.

Initially, what caught his attention were the teenager's bright blue eyes. They were so beautiful that they reminded him of the deep, dark sea at night, mysterious yet captivating. When talking about football, those eyes shone even brighter, like sapphire gems in the night. Add to that the way the boy frankly acknowledged his talent. His blushing, embarrassed expression couldn't hide his sincerity.

They all stirred his heart.

"I...I'm also very happy to meet you," Isagi replied, covering his face and blushing bright red all the way to his ears.

Kaiser's lips curved into a noticeable smile.

"Well then..." He politely extended his hand like a true gentleman. "Would I have the honor of inviting you to dinner?"

"Of course...!" At that moment, Isagi felt certain he was the luckiest person in the world.

So, when the match was practically decided with a 2-1 scoreline in favor of Bastard München, the two of them stealthily left the stadium before the crowd began to erupt in celebration.

Isagi pulled his hat down low and walked close beside Kaiser, his heart still pounding.

"Phew... it feels like I'm having a secret affair..." he muttered.

"That's just how it is," Kaiser chuckled. "Anyway, you're getting to be alone with Michael Kaiser."

"...You're such a narcissist."

"Thank you for the compliment."

"Would you like something to eat?" Kaiser asked gently.

"Um...actually, I had already eaten earlier." Isagi scratched his cheek slightly, feeling a little embarrassed.

"What a coincidence, me too." Kaiser glanced around the street and pointed to a familiar bakery. "So, shall we grab a snack?"

Finally, the two of them carried the cakes along the night streets of Berlin.

Isagi hugged a small blueberry pie, happily eating it piece by piece as he walked. Meanwhile, Kaiser munched on toast rather casually, mostly using the crust to toast.

"Kaiser, isn't snacking at night harmful to your body? After all, you're a professional player." Isagi enjoyed the food, but he was also a little puzzled.

"It's nothing, this is nothing. Once I get back to training, those calories will be burned in a matter of minutes." Kaiser shrugged, not really caring about it, since he often drank Coca-Cola and ate junk food anyway.

"I thought your diets must be really strict."

The two walked and chatted, sometimes Kaiser silently watching the radiant teenager recount his story, sometimes they both burst into laughter at trivial matters. Perhaps they were truly compatible, because even though time passed quickly, neither of them noticed. By the time Isagi realized it, it was already too late.

"Oh no! It's almost 10 o'clock at night!" Isagi exclaimed in alarm as he looked at his watch.

"It's already this late..." Kaiser muttered to himself. It had been a long time since someone had been by his side who made him feel so comfortable, and it was the first time they'd met.

"Where do you stay? Let me take you go" Kaiser asked, looking at the address the little boy showed him.

When they were just a short distance from the hotel, the two suddenly stopped under the streetlights. Isagi felt a little reluctant to say goodbye; he didn't know when he would be lucky enough to meet Kaiser like this again.

"I..."

"Yoichi, would you like to take a picture together?" Kaiser suddenly asked.

"...Of course I want to." Isagi's eyes widened as he nodded unconsciously. Then he handed his phone to Kaiser to take pictures.

The two were now standing very close together, Isagi practically nestled in Kaiser's arms, his cheeks blushing adorably with embarrassment, but he still looked up at the camera with a sweet smile.

And the moment Kaiser pressed the shutter button, he unexpectedly leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on the teenager's cheek.

Click.

By the time Isagi realized what he was doing, the photo had already been successfully saved, and Kaiser smiled with immense satisfaction as he looked at the finished product.

"Yoichi..." He was about to say something, but when he saw the little one covering his cheeks shyly, he burst out laughing.

"You're so adorable!" A large hand pressed against the teenager's flushed cheeks.

"You…"

"Hmm? Does Yoichi have any objections?" Kaiser teased.

“…Since you kissed me… I should get kissed back, shouldn’t I…” Speaking before thinking is a crime, and Isagi immediately realized he had just blurted out something crazy. At that moment, Isagi just wanted to dig a hole and bury himself.

"Oh, so Yoichi wants to kiss me too, huh?" Kaiser chuckled with amusement, leaning down to eye level with him.

Isagi felt a little embarrassed, but it would be a waste to miss this opportunity. He shyly approached and gently placed a kiss on the other person's cheek as a blessing for the future.

The very next second, Kaiser suddenly pulled the teenager into his arms, burying his head in the crook of his neck, greedily inhaling the gentle scent of his body, and then softly smiling contentedly.

"Kaiser…" Isagi whispered.

"Let's exchange phone numbers." Kaiser pulled out his phone.

"Really?!" Isagi couldn't believe it when he heard the request.

"Of course."

After that, the two cuddled for a while longer before Isagi finally said goodbye and went into the hotel. He felt a little reluctant, but Isagi knew that dreams always end eventually, so he shouldn't be too greedy.

"Yoichi," Kaiser suddenly called out from a distance.

Isagi turned around. Under the night lights, Kaiser stood there, a rare, gentle smile on his face.

"I'll wait for you on the field, don't keep me waiting too long, my sweetie."

"Yes." Isagi clenched his fist in agreement, watching Kaiser gradually walk away and disappear from his sight, and sighed softly.

After showering, Isagi plopped down on the bed and began tallying his spoils from this wonderful evening. Suddenly, the sight of the pile of things on the bed made him gasp in astonishment, the crisp signature on the card, a walk together, eating cake, taking photos together, a kiss on the cheek, and even exchanging phone numbers!

"...I've won at life.”

This is definitely the pinnacle of Isagi Yoichi's idol-chasing career.

End

1
The next day, when Kaiser arrived at training, he saw Noa. Remembering what Yoichi had said the day before, he proudly lifted his chin, flashing a triumphant smile that luckily slipped past the older striker's puzzled gaze.

"What's wrong with Kaiser?" Noa asked Ness.

"I don't know. He's been like this since he got back last night," Ness added silently to himself, noting that Kaiser had been giggling at his phone for a long time last night.

That's terrifying!

2
Issei and Iyo were worried about whether Yocchan was in any danger on the other side. They even carefully instructed him not to follow strangers.

And yet, the obedient son, as soon as he met his idol, started telling everything.

Parents know. Parents are sad.

3
Isagi and Kaiser's next meeting didn't last as long as they expected. When they saw each other on the Nel arc, Isagi smiled, his blue eyes sparkling with joy at the sight of the familiar figure.

"I come to see you, Kaiser."
