Chapter Text
It was Alexie’s 6th year at Hogwarts and for most of her time there she’s kept her head low. She preferred to stay out of all the drama going around since it was easier to just get through school. She did have her friends though and a lovely boyfriend to top it off.
She had just got on the Hogwarts express carrying her luggage as she looked through the compartments to find her friends. As she walked down the aisle she walked past a compartment with the notorious Slytherin boys. She didn’t know a lot about them, just that they were no good or that’s what everyone said. This little group consisted of seven boys being Mattheo Riddle, Tom Riddle, Theodore Nott, Draco Malfoy, Blaze Zabini, Regulus Black, and Lorenzo Berkshire. Though she ought to know more about them since they’re in the same house. She kept moving through past their compartment but she couldn’t shake the sudden feeling she was being watched.
Eventually she found the compartment her friends were in Luna Lovegood, Ginny Weasley, and Neville Longbottom. It was nice to see them again after all this time and just looking at them made her smile. “Hi everyone, long time no see.” She said still standing outside the compartment “Oh, it’s nice to see you again, Lexie” Luna said looking up from her book “you should put away your luggage and sit with us”
She quickly nodded and moved inside the compartment and tried to put her luggage away but she couldn’t quite get it all the way up and that’s when she felt someone behind her. “Need help darling?” She immediately recognized the voice it was her boyfriend. Liam Greenwood, a 6th year as well but different houses as he’s in Ravenclaw. Before she could reply he was already helping her push her luggage up “There darling, glad to see me?” She smiled as blush crept onto her cheeks “Yes, I’m very glad to see you”
“Enough outta you lovebirds now!” Ginny exclaimed jokingly which got both Alexie and Liam to turn around. “Ah, as much as I would love to stay with you longer I gotta go back for my friends. Talk to you when we get there.” And he was already off and away before she could say anything. She sat down next to Ginny and the bunch of them started talking as the train headed off. The ride felt like forever as they talked and could hear the train running over the tracks. It was beautiful sight to see the grassy plains they passed. Once they arrived to Hogwarts they all had grabbed their luggage and started to head out but Alexie was still reaching to grab her luggage. “Don’t let me hold you up, I’ll be right behind you.” She told them as they got off the train but she should’ve asked for help. Merlin, why had Liam pushed this so far back?
“Need some help?” Alexie jumped at the sudden question from whom she had no idea. “Oh my apologies I didn’t mean to startle you.” “No it’s alright I was just lost in thought” Alexie sighed as she turned to see this mysterious person and it was none other than Lorenzo Berkshire. This honestly came as a shock to her. She’d never really interacted with him before maybe for some classes but that’s it. She didn’t even think he knew she existed and well yeah they’re in the same house but that doesn’t mean anything either. She needed to calm down, she was overthinking maybe he was just walking and saw her struggling. “Well if you’re still offering help I’d appreciate that.” She chuckled nervously as she stepped away from where her luggage was to give him room if he really was going to help. “Of course” he smiled as he walked into the compartment and grabbed her luggage before handing it back to her. “Well I’ll be on my way now, perhaps we’ll spend more time together in the future Delacruz.” he smirked before walking off. So he did know who she was…that was interesting to think he’d remember her out of all people. This got her thinking how much he really knew about her or if it was just simple recognition nothing more. She shoved those thoughts down as she headed off the train, she shouldn’t be thinking about him out of all people I mean she had a boyfriend. So there’s no reason to think of anyone else right?
After the feast, she was headed to her common room when she was stopped by the familiar voice of her boyfriend, Liam. “Hey, Lexie wait up!” She quickly turned for him and just looking at the tall blond boy made her smile. She could look into his ocean blue eyes forever and drown in them but she quickly snapped herself out of it. “Hey Liam, what is it?” He gave her a big smile flashing all of his teeth “I was wondering if tomorrow after classes you wanted to just hang out a bit?” She noticed he was fidgeting a lot which told her he was nervous which was kinda cute. “I’d love to hang out Liam.” She smiled placing a small kiss on the corner of his lips “but now I must head off to bed.” She smiled as she walked off hearing his fading voice as he said goodbye.
Once she made it to the common room it was flooded with a bunch of kids. A lot of the younger kids were hanging around and getting to know each other mainly first years , but in the corner she saw Lorenzo with some of his friends. She only realized she was staring when they made direct eye contact and turned away the fastest she ever had before she started walking towards the stairs to head to her dorm. Once she reached her room she got changed into sleeping attire and laid in her bed.
She closed her eyes trying to get rest, it was the first day of school tomorrow. As she tried to sleep all she could think of was Lorenzo. Him and his fluffy brown hair that she could imagine running her fingers through and his dark eyes that just lured her in - wait this is wrong so wrong. She has a boyfriend and she knows it so why is she thinking about Lorenzo like this?
She immediately knew she could not see or interact with Lorenzo anymore if she wanted to stay with the boyfriend whom she loved and enjoyed hanging out with. Her decision was final. She was going to ignore Lorenzo for the school year or at least until those weird thoughts go away. So she settled into a sleep where she hoped there would be no more thought about Lorenzo.
