CHAPTER 5:SHOCK JOCK
INT. MAC-Z-NIGHT
Mike and Joyce run to Will.
MIKE
(To Will) He's a sorcerer, a real-life,honest-to-God Sorcerer
Intercut with:INT.MAC-Z/INT.UPSIDE DOWN LAB.
INT.UPSIDE DOWN LAB-NIGHT
(Kay and her team wake up but wait, Vecna starts approaching her Kali, Eleven, Hopper having escaped the lab already.)
VECNA
(To Dr. Kay) what was the girl you're looking for doing here?
KAY
(Anxious) she was looking for a Vecna
KAY (CONT'D)
Do not shoot at him.(Kay breathing rapidly) who are you?
VECNA
(Vecna growls and then approaches her)
Your nightmare.
(He reaches out his hand and it strikes through her heart,she chokes on her blood and collapses,the last of the military starts shooting at him, but he tilts his head and snaps their necks. The military decimated.)
INT. MAC-Z-NIGHT
MIKE
(Gasps,To will) That was amazing Will, how did you do that?
WILL
Thanks Mike. I just tapped into the hive-mind and bent it to my doing
JOYCE
(to will) Are you okay baby?
WILL
Yeah,I'm ok mom, let's just get oue of here
(They go back to the McCorkle farm and free the Turnbows while briefly explaining and twisting the situation.Meannnile,Vecna walks out of the Upside Down Lab and reaches out his left arm and he pulls apart the building's support structure it collapses and explodes.Hopper,El, Kali including Dustin,Steve,Nancy and Jonathan hear it and see it,Vecna vanishes)
End intercut.
INT.SQUAWK BASEMENT-NIGHT
MIKE
Three demes to be exact!
WILL
He told me how childrens minds are more easily controlled and manipulated. He also showed me Holly,Derek and ten other kids in this yellow atmospheric place with teeth.
LUCAS
Damnit, that's not the Upside Down.Wait,can't you jack back into the hive-mind and snap the bastard's neck?
WILL
I could, we could snatch a dead demo then use the radio tower to make it alive then I could yeah
JOYCE
Yeah that's a good idea,but we are going to be next to you the whole time.
INT. HAWKINS LAB UPSIDE DOWN-NIGHT
STEVE
Well, this looks promising.
NANCY
(Looks around) And... Where are we going exactly?
JONATHAN
(confused) Like,what is it that we're looking for?
DUSTIN
A shield generator,either it's on the rooftop or it's in the basement.
NANCY
(To Dustin) Jonathan and I will go up to the roof,you and Steve go down to the basement or whatever.
STEVE
(sighs) Fine
DUSTIN
(scoffs) I'm not that bad.
NANCY
Shut up both of you. (To Jonathan) Let's go
JONATHAN
Right next to you.
Dustin and Steve end up in the Rainbow Room and fight as is in the show , Dustin finds Brenner's office. INT.HAWKINS LAB BRENNER'S OFFICE -NIGHT (Dustin Finds Brenner's notebook) Brenner's Notebook: NOV 6 1983: Henry kidnapped me with the help of his creatres,there is another dimension above this alternate Hawkins. This other dimension above alternate Hawkins is toxic, my father and his team died due to it. I call it the Abyss and this alternate Hawkins The Darkness.Henry wants me alive for some reason,the Darkness is protected by a Shield,when Henry dies,the Darkness and the Abyss will start to rot and eventually die and collapse.
DUSTIN
(sighs) shit.
HAWKINS LAB ROOF UPSIDE DOWN-NIGHT
JONATHAN
Finally,let's destroy this thing if we can find it.
NANCY
Shine your flashlight to where I'm shining mine then shine it elsewhere.
(They both shire it at both places, Nancy loads her shotgun and shoots at the discovery. A large red and black ball appears covered by a shield)
NANCY
Shit!
(Footsteps are heard behind them.)
DUSTIN
It won't work,nothing is behind the wall.Also,there is another dimension above us called the Abyss,it's in Brenner's notebook.
NANCY
Ok,we came here for nothing,let's go back to Hawkins.We can go through MAC-Z,since the military lab here is decimated ,and that I saw Vecna walk back into the Upside Down from MAC-Z.
UPSIDE DOWN HAWKINS LAB ROOF-NIGHT
DUSTIN
You two go so long, we'll be there now
DUSTIN (CONT'D)
I'm sorry I've been such an ass this year it's not okay
STEVE
Nah man, don't worry about it, you lost an amazing friend,I can understand distancing yourself from other people
DUSTIN
I'm so sorry (Dustin starts crying and goes in to hug steve) I can't lose you too Steve,you are one of my best friends and one of the most important people in my liie.
STEVE
Hey, we'll beat him and get out alive,let's go they're probably thinking we 're stuck.
EXT. HAWKINS LAB UPSIDE DOWN-NIGHT
JONATHAN
I didn't get into Emerson.
NANCY
I figured, we've been lying to each other for a while now
JONATHAN
I'm sorry for being a competetive fool
NANCY
Jon,I've been confused for a while, but I know I'm in love with you,just that this last year has been hectic
JONATHAN
Maybe when this is all over,a date to Enzo's?
NANCY
Yeah,I'd like that.
EXT-CAVE CAMAZOTZ
HOLLY
(Finds the exit to Camazotz) I found it!
MAX
Holly I can't thank you enough,remember you must go back to the house before he notices.
(Holly goes back unnociced,Max is in the cave and sees where Henry got posessed,Henry vanishes after coming in contact with the rock.
Just as Max is about to escape,Vecna appears)
VECNA
At long last,the fox is caught. (He reaches out his left arm and starts choking Max, but wait, his hand starts retracting)
Intercut with:EXT.SQUAWK-NIGHT/VECNA'S MIND
WILL
(starts standing his eyes milked over,he twists Vecna's foot; Vecna roars in pain.)
Max if you can hear me,you need to run,RUN! (will screams)
(Max ruas to the portal.)
