Chapter Text
It was honestly just a normal world conference meeting, for the most part.
Kiku noticed that Feliciano seemed.. Sleepier than usual.
Usually, he'd be buzzing with energy, and rambling endlessly, but the Italian was barely even humming to himself today.
Naturally, Kiku focused on who was speaking – right now, it was Alfred. But then, he felt a sudden weight on his shoulder. Kiku's eyes darted to where the weight was.
Feliciano had fallen asleep on the Japanese man's shoulder. Kiku's face flushed, warmth creeping up his neck. Nobody else seemed to notice, except Ludwig, who truthfully took one glance at the two and went back to listening to the speaker.
"Feliciano,"
Kiku whispered, only to get no response from the unconscious Italian. He exhaled. It was near impossible to listen to the others when there was such warmth pressing against his side. Feliciano's curl was brushing against Kiku's neck with each breath, becoming quite distracting.
Kiku knew he could probably lift Feliciano slightly, and sit him up in his chair, but something made the Japanese man not want to disturb the Italian.
Eventually, the conference came to a halt, but Feliciano was still sleeping against Kiku. Truthfully, Kiku began feeling tired himself, but the hustle and bustle of the meeting around him kept him awake. As the others began chatting amongst themselves or getting up to escape from the stuffy air of the meeting room, Kiku began to try wake Feliciano once more. If this didn't work, what was he supposed to do? He couldn't lift the Italian. Perhaps he'd get Ludwig.
"..Feliciano.. Wake up."
Kiku nudged him. Voice louder than the last time he'd attempted to wake him, because he wasn't worried about disrupting the meeting – it was over, after all.
It seemed to work this time. Feliciano shifted, humming sleepily as he blinked awake.
"Hmm...? Oh, ciao, Kiku!"
The Italian greeted, yawning as he sat up.
“You fell asleep,” Kiku said quietly.
“Eh? Really?” Feliciano laughed. “Sorry~ Your shoulder was comfortable.”
Kiku huffed, a sound that was barely audible as his ears burned a deep crimson. "...Well, could you lift your head? My arm is beginning to go numb."
"Ehehe~ Alright!" Feliciano laughed airily, moving to get up.
Just as Kiku opened his mouth, perhaps to begin a conversation with the now energetic Italian, he heard a loud "Yo, Kiku!" from behind - he didn't even have to turn to know it was Alfred, barreling towards him with the energy of a golden retriever. "Dude! You'll never guess what happened the other day..." Meanwhile, Feliciano wandered off, looking around the large room. He could see Francis and Arthur fighting (though, to him, it really just looked like they wanted to kiss..), he could see Yao being made slightly uneasy by Ivan, who was uncomfortably close to the Chinese man (did he even know personal space?).
And eventually, people began leaving. There'd most likely be another meeting soon, anywho.
