If You're Sure

Summary:

"Woonhak-ah," he starts, voice low, "you don't have to do this."

Woonhak shakes his head rapidly, a sound of child-like defiance escaping him. "No, I offered to help! I'm here for you, hyung, I promise."

Sungho hums, turning against the wall until his back is flat against it. He faces Woonhak fully, placing a tentative hand on his upper arm. His fingers grip tightly at the fabric of the younger's shirt. "Then, if you're sure… can I please…?"

_____________

In which Woonhak is more than willing to let his vampire hyung feed from him. He might also have ulterior motives for wanting his hyung's fangs in his neck but that's for Sungho to figure out on his own.

Work Text:

"Alright! Good job, everyone take five!" Jaehyun announces the second the song ends.

Everyone sighs in relief; finally a break from the constant practice. Sungho finds himself more tired than he should be at this point, he can usually keep up for longer but today is pushing him to his limits. His body feels heavy and as the other members disperse to take a water break, he finds himself falling against the back wall of the practice room. He slides to sit down, chest heaving with labored breaths he can't manage to control.

His skin prickles uncomfortably; anxiety aching somewhere deep within him. He hasn't eaten today, he knows that's probably the reason. His head feels like it might split in two. The lights are too bright, everyone's voices are too loud, and most of all, he can hear the blood pumping in his members' veins. His jaw aches with the force it takes to keep his fangs from protruding past his gums. He buries his head in his hands and hopes the others don't notice anything.

He doesn't have time to go back to the dorm and retrieve the blood bags he forgot in the freezer. It's irresponsible to think he could make it an entire day of practice without anything to drink but he was trying to make the bags last. His supply is limited, after all, the company can only budget for so many blood bags at a time.

"….hyung?"

Someone's voice vaguely cuts through the ringing in Sungho's ears. It's not until the person is standing directly in front of him, partially blocking the light from overhead, that his mind calms enough to register it.

"Hyung," it's Woonhak's voice, "are you okay?"

His voice is soft and it beckons Sungho to look up at him. He blinks a few times before he can focus on Woonhak's concerned face, the knit in his brow and the way his lip tugs down at the corner. He looks close to tears, which is funny because Sungho feels like he is the one who should be crying.

"Are you okay?" Woonhak asks again once he has Sungho's attention. "You look like you're hyperventilating, is it—"

Sungho waves his hand to silence the younger, "don't say it!" He huffs, still struggling to catch his breath.

Woonhak sucks his bottom lip between his teeth, glancing over his shoulder. It seems the other members are preoccupied with chugging from their water bottles or continuing to practice on their own. He looks back at Sungho; curled in on himself in the corner like a scared animal.

He crouches down in front of the older, ducking in close to whisper to him. "Do you wanna drink my blood, hyung? It might make you feel better."

Sungho looks up at him with wide eyes like he just heard something scandalous. "You'd let me— no, I can't! I'll be okay, I just need a moment."

Woonhak doesn't believe him and frankly neither does Sungho himself. "But… usually when Riwoo hyung is like this, he says my blood helps him recover fastest. Won't it be better than sitting here and hoping this passes? Will it pass?"

Sungho chews at the inside of his cheek. It's true, this won't just go away unless he consumes some form of blood. From the close proximity, he can smell Woonhak clear as day. His blood is sweet, flowing through his veins like fresh squeezed juice. It's taunting him. He looks at Woonhak, finding his eyes and staring at him for a moment. The younger looks so serious, a spark in his eyes that proves his sincerity.

Sungho is stubborn, yes, but he's also on the verge of collapse from hunger. He nods subtly, not wanting to give in but he has no choice.

Woonhak stands up straight and takes Sungho's hand tightly in his, pulling his weakened body from the floor. He calls out to the other members, saying something that Sungho can't hear over the flow of blood as Woonhak presses Sungho against him to keep the older upright. Sungho's head lulls into the crook of Woonhak's neck, subconsciously inhaling the younger's scent. They walk quickly out of the practice room and into the hallway. It's darker, the hall lights dim and somewhat peaceful. He feels like he can finally breathe now.

The hall is quieter too, a sense of ease washes over him as he detataches from the younger's side in favor of leaning against the wall, taking a few deep breaths to ground himself. Woonhak is still close by, a hand comfortingly resting between Sungho's shoulder blades. His blood smells even stronger now; maybe it's because the environment isn't as overwhelming as the practice room had been. He casts a sideways glance at Woonhak who's watching him intently.

Sungho's face flushes with embarrassment at the realization that he's being watched so closely and that he's still starving. He had hoped moving to a more calm environment would quell the ache he feels but its only amplified it. Now, it's all he can focus on as he turns his head to rest his forehead against the wall.

He swallows hard, lips twitching as he no longer fights against his urges. His teeth grow sharper; fangs glinting in the light as he opens his mouth around his heavy breaths. It's hard to miss the way Woonhak's eyes grow wide and seem to sparkle faintly as he looks down at the now protruding set of teeth.

Woonhak takes a step closer, getting in Sungho's personal space as he crowds the older against the wall. It feels strangely intimate as Woonhak tilts his head, wordlessly offering the side of his neck as he presses his palm against the wall by Sungho's head. Sungho reaches his free hand up and gently holds the back of Woonhak's head as he leans in. He has to pull the younger down slightly, their height difference posing more of a challenge than anticipated. Woonhak gives easily, bending his knees and pressing one against the wall between Sungho's legs to bring himself closer at the older's behest.

Sungho is surrounded by Woonhak's intoxicatingly sweet scent. He lets out an involuntary moan before sinking his teeth into the younger's throat. The skin breaks beneath his sharp fangs and the sweet taste of his blood floods Sungho's mouth like the first sip of water after wandering in the desert. A full body shiver hits Woonhak and a low groan escapes Sungho as he sucks the blood down, overwhelmingly satisfied with the taste.

Sungho drinks deeply, satiating himself. He bites down harder, sinking his fangs in further despite himself. He hears a soft whimper from the younger that draws him back down to earth. Woonhak's arm is shaking where he holds himself up against the wall to keep from crushing the other. Sungho retracts his fangs at once and soothingly swipes his tongue over the twin pair of wounds on Woonhak's neck.

When he pulls away, he sees they've already started to bruise from how hard he had bitten into him. A wave of guilt washes over him; as the oldest, he should have been able to show more restraint and controlled his hunger. Sungho licks his lips clean, ensuring he hasn't missed a single drop of blood, before leaning in and planting a chaste kiss to the skin just below the bite marks he created.

Woonhak turns his head to look at Sungho and his face is flushed, lips parted as he lets out soft breaths that fan against the side of the older's face. Sungho can feel him trembling faintly as his knee accidentally bumps against Woonhak's leg between his own. He hadn't even realized the position they were standing in until now.

The corner of Woonhak's mouth curls into a crooked half smile as he looks down at the older, "was it good?" He asks hopefully.

Sungho sheepishly nods as he holds eye contact, somewhat worried the younger might collapse against him as the adrenaline wears off. "Yes, I feel a lot better. Are you okay?"

Woonhak's smile grows, "if hyung is okay, I'm okay. 'M glad I could help."

Before Sungho can respond, Woonhak's legs give out from under him and he falls forward, crashing into Sungho and crushing him against the wall. Sungho groans as he wraps his arms around the younger to catch him and support his weight, one hand still tenderly holding the back of his head as he urges Woonhak to lean into him rather than pushing him away.

"Just stay like this, your strength will come back soon. Once you can stand, we'll get you some food to replenish what hyung took, yeah?" Sungho coos, stroking Woonhak's hair. Woonhak hums contently against him, a little dazed from the adrenaline and blood loss. "You did well, hyung owes you a lot for this. Thank you, Woonhakie."

Woonhak hums again, weakly wrapping his own arms around Sungho's waist. He mumbles something from where he's pressed against Sungho's shoulder that sounds vaguely like "hyung can use me whenever." and it makes Sungho's breath hitch. He pats Woonhak on the back and responds with a noncommittal sound. That sentence is something to think about some other time, when the younger isn't dazed and confused.

The door to the practice room creaks softly as it opens across the hall from them. "Yah, Jaehyun's about to lose his mind if you guys don't—"

Riwoo steps out into the hall, fully intent on reprimanding his fellow vampire, when he's met with Sungho staring daggers at him instead. The position the oldest and youngest are in is not one Riwoo is a stranger to and he quickly shuts his mouth. Sungho briefly thinks there's been a misunderstanding as the other vampire's lips curl mischievously. This position can't look good; Sungho pressed against the wall, trapped beneath a limp and breathless Woonhak.

"I'll just let him know you two are done for the day." Riwoo quietly snickers as he turns around to report back to Jaehyun.

Sungho silently curses to himself as they're left alone in the quiet hallway. He doesn't have much time to regret his decisions, however, when Woonhak begins to grumble from where he's buried against Sungho's neck. His breath is warm against the older's skin.

"Hyung, 'm tired."

Sungho sighs, stroking Woonhak's back out of habit, "yes, yes, hyung will take care of you now."

Sungho drapes the younger's arm over his shoulders and walks the two of them out of the building. He pointedly avoids their managers in favor of walking Woonhak home himself. The fewer people he encounters, the less he'll have to explain himself. Practice ends a little earlier than usual for them but it was certainly for the best. Sungho returns to the dorm with a slightly jelly Woonhak in his arms, a full stomach, and a strange fuzzy feeling in his chest from the way Woonhak smiles at him that he has absolutely no intent on addressing.
