Valkyrie opens her window as the cold, breezy, autumn air hits her face. “ Today will be different.. “
Jane flipped and tossed in bed before finally reaching out to grab the ringing phone that had been left unanswered. She grabbed the phone saying, “ Hello, this is Jane Adams.. Who is this? “ On the other end of the line, a pixelated voice said. “ Hey Jane, it's Valkyrie!
Recently, Serena went missing. Her missing poster was added to the town bulletin board. “ Jane went dead silent, sitting upright clutching her phone. “ W-what time?! “
“ No one knows yet.. But, some of the cases were confirmed in the abandoned part of the forest. “
“ Valkyrie, meet me at the old maple tree. “ “ What, now? It's barely even 1 yet!- “ Valkyrie was cut off by Jane yelling, “ NOW. “
Jane slowly opened her bedroom door, walking down the stairs avoiding the creaky ones.
She grabbed her patchwork trench coat, buttoning it up.
She took her CD player out of her pocket and put in the CD “ Twilight “ by Boa
. “ I'll find you Serena. “ Valkyrie rummaged through her family's shared closet full of junk, before finally finding her windbreaker and messenger bag.
She slipped her wind breaker on, zipping it up to the neck. Before swinging her messenger bag onto her shoulder. “ We're getting murdered one day.. “
Valkyrie opened her window, climbing out onto the roof of her old two story house.
She jumped onto her mothers old gazebo that her Mom was gifted back when she bought the house with her Father.
“ I'm surprised this old thing hasn't broken down into shackles yet! “ Valkyrie parkoured down the lanky gazebo before landing onto the ground.
Once she landed roughly onto the jaggedy, dead, grass.
Valkyrie slowly approached
her house's rough, picket fence gazing into the silent and gloomy forest behind her tiny town.
She leaped over the fence, disappearing into the shadows that seemed endless..
Jane skipped through the woods, humming a tune. Making the forest seem less lifeless, before she placed her lantern down
. Looking around for any unknown entities, “ Valkyrie should be here any minute now! “
That's when she saw a dark figure approaching her. “ Hey Valk! You're finally here, took ya long enough! “ “ Oh yeah, sorry about that my trail markers were off so I had to take the longer route here. “
Jane took off her headphones, before taking a worn out map with annotations all over it and a purple compass accompanying a video camera.
“ We have a lot of land to cover if we're trying to find Serena in the forest! “ “ What?! What do you mean by that? “
“ I mean by, we're getting to the bottom of these missing cases Valkyrie! “ “ But it's too dangerous to do this, just the two of us and you KNOW that! What if something terrible happens to us?!- “
“ VALKYRIE! So many people in our town have been going missing and NO ONE seems to know why! Not even the police can find out.. “
