Chapter Text
Elder Faerie Cookie couldn't move his mouth. Couldn't scream, couldn't move, couldn't lift a weary wing. He couldn't even feel his dough, his own jam, but he could still think.
That was the one saving grace, the horrible saving grace that Shadow Milk Cookie had given him. He could look through every eye that this mangled tree had formed, though he wished he hadn't.
What had he done to His Friend? His Salt of Solidarity, His Knight, His...everything... Even though Solidarity had left him, Silent Salt Cookie NEVER deserved such a mindless fate! Elder Fairy Cookie would've cursed at this doughless phantom that had come down from the heavens if he had a mouth to scream with.
The Commander Of Silence chittered and cocked his head up at the tree, only knowing that Silence reign eternal in its mind forever. Yet the memories of knighthood were there, locked away by some magical barrier that he could not break. If he got closer to the tree, maybe his mind, if only for a moment, would return to him?
A fleeting memory of a winged faerie and his kingdom, celebrating with honor as a group which he could no longer recall was formed. A group to defend the defenseless. What were they called? Who were they named? Was he amongst the ranks or lead them in earnest? Why was the winged faerie so dear to him? Why, why, why???
Perhaps he’d wait here, just a while longer.
