Chapter Text
Megumi x reader slow burn
Title : emo boy
Chapter one the library
The hum of the campus library was usually enough to drown out your thoughts, but today, you needed extra help. You adjusted your headphones, making sure the wire was hidden under your collar. With a tap on your phone screen, the low, raspy voice of Eyesha filled your ears, delivering a slow, descriptive audio erotica track that immediately made your chest tighten. You focused hard on your notebook, trying to keep your breathing even as the voice in your ears detailed a heavy, breathless encounter.
A shadow fell over your desk.
You jumped, your pen slipping and marking a jagged black line across your notes. Standing right in front of you was Megumi. His dark hair was slightly damp from the rain, and his hands were shoved deep into his uniform pockets. He looked down at you with his usual quiet, unreadable expression.
"You're tense," Megumi said, his voice cutting clean through your panic, even though you could still hear the audio playing softly in your ears.
"Just studying hard," you managed to say, your voice a little higher than usual. You discreetly reached for your phone to pause the track, but your fingers missed the button in your haste.
Megumi pulled out the chair opposite yours and sat down. He didn't say anything at first. He just opened his textbook and began flipping through the pages. But he didn't look entirely focused either. His eyes kept darting up to your face, tracking the slight flush on your cheeks and the way your fingers kept twitching against your desk.
"Your headphones are loud," Megumi noted quietly, leaning forward slightly across the table. "I can hear the bass from here."
Your heart stopped. The erotica track was currently transitioning into a deeper, much more explicit segment. If he listened closely, he would hear the unmistakable sound of heavy breathing and whispered words.
"It's just... a podcast," you lied, quickly slamming your thumb onto the pause button.
Megumi raised an eyebrow. He didn't push the issue, but the look in his dark eyes told you he knew you were hiding something. He leaned back in his chair, his gaze lingering on your lips for a fraction of a second before returning to his book. The silence between you suddenly felt incredibly heavy, thick with a new kind of tension that had nothing to do with studying.
