Chapter Text
Kara and I moved in with Markus a little while ago. When people stopped hurting androids as much we left Canada, and Markus offered us a place to stay. A little bit after that, like a few days ago, Markus brought home another android. He says his name is Connor. I don’t think Kara likes him very much, and I don’t think Markus likes him a lot either.
He stays in the room next to Markus’s. He doesn't leave a lot I don't think. He goes to work in the morning and comes back later. But when he comes back he doesn't leave his room until he goes to work the next day.
I think he’s sick.
After Kara and Markus go to sleep, I leave my room sometimes. And last night I heard him throwing up. Kara told me that androids don’t get sick. She teaches me a lot of things, but I think she’s wrong about that. Markus says that the blue blood is like food for androids. He keeps it in the fridge so it doesn't go bad.
Connor doesn’t ever go into the kitchen.
I tried to talk to him once. I think he’s shy. Kara said that I shouldn’t talk to him though, because he’s dangerous or something. He’s probably lonely, Kara and Markus don’t talk to him, and I don’t think anyone else does either.
I think I should tell Markus that he’s sick.
I will after he leaves.
…
I look out the window and see Connor is leaving now. I get up and knock on Markus’s door.
He opens it, “Alice, how are you?”
“I’m good, but can I talk to you about something?”
“Sure, what's going on?”
“I think that Connor is sick. I heard throwing up noises coming from his room.”
He looks concerned, “Vomiting? I don’t think I've heard of that happening to a deviant, let alone an anderoid… are you sure that’s what you heard?”
“I’m sure.”
“If it makes you feel any better, I can talk to him when he gets home.”
I nod, “yes please.”
