a person who is blamed for the wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others, especially for reasons of expediency.
Deep in the frosty environment in island 1 was a tall tower made of snow. A person pale enough to be mistaken for just the scenery stood atop it. Saparata. The smiley note on his face barely hanging on in the wind. His damaged wings stilled by his sides. His scarves did little to protect him from the painful cold.
He stared down at the snow beneath him. It only took one step for him to finally find the sweet release of death. For his suffering to finally end. He wouldn't have to run from bounty hunters anymore. He wouldn't have to face rigged trials. He wouldn't have to deal with people's stares of hatred and worst of all… He wouldn't have to think of how Flux, his Flux, his number one, his ride or die, his best friend, the person he loved turned on him. He wouldn't have to deal with any of this anymore. It was strange. Standing up there. He felt like he'd done this before. Like in another life he met this same fate. But that wasn't what he focused on. He just-
Thump
He did it. He really did it. But… something was wrong. The death message didn't pop up. He wasn't dying… He was injured badly. If only he had made the tower a few blocks taller…
He was bleeding out. His wings more damaged than before. He was in excruciating pain laying in the freezing snow. The snow beneath him a dark crimson. He was slowly losing consciousness. He just wished it was faster. His vision began to blur as he was on the line between life and death, and for the first time in his life the thought didn't actually scare him.
He was going to die. And he was okay with that.
His eyes finally closed as he let the cold swallow him whole.
