Chapter Text

[Empire of Vollachia - Chaosflame]

Vollachia, the land of wolves, a place where only the strong survive, ruling over the weak. A place where magic was somewhat scarce, where few people had advanced magical abilities, so the population learned early on to strengthen themselves with what they had, especially the demi-humans, who made the most of their biology to strengthen their bodies and battle tactics. The country's military power was capable of causing widespread devastation if well planned and organized. Currently, the imperial family of the kingdom is undergoing a type of tournament between the blood children of the emperor, who is currently dead, so his heirs are currently in a deadly competition to gain the position as the new emperor.

[...]

The city of Chaosflame was relatively quiet despite the constant number of people, mainly demi-humans, moving around, talking, doing their jobs, whether in shops, stalls, or blacksmiths. The city's population was relatively calm, but at the same time chaotic, due to the city's name.

In a shop that sold fruit and some other types of food, two semi-human women, both cat girls, were chatting while buying some products.

"It seems that the emperor died after trying to wield the Yang sword," one of the women said to her friend.

"She didn't recognize him as worthy of wielding it," the other woman said to her friend, picking up one of the fruits and examining it before putting it in her basket. "But it seems that some of his children were able to wield it. In addition, everyone fought over possession of the sword."

"And who got it?" the other woman asked curiously.

"If I remember correctly, I think it was Prisca Benedict." The woman said, and soon the two walked to the counter to pay for their purchases.

As the two walked away, a boy of about 12 or 13 years old, with black hair and orange eyes that seemed evil, was wearing ordinary clothes: a black shirt, blue shorts that went past his knees, black shoes with red laces, and he had a small box with some fruits and vegetables in it. After listening to their conversation, the boy walked behind them, waiting for his turn to pay for his purchases. Once he had done so, the boy said goodbye to the shopkeeper and began walking through the streets, aiming to return to where he currently lived.

The boy, who about a week ago was suddenly taken from his home, his native world, and arrived in this chaotic city, learned early on that crying would not solve anything, it would only make him worse off. So he chose to just focus on getting by in this new world, along with the equipment he got when he arrived and that only he could use. He had almost been robbed before, but whenever thieves tried to take his things, his equipment was pulled to the ground as if it weighed tons. This gave the boy a chance to fight back and even steal their money, because "The strong rule over the weak." He heard this phrase many times, a phrase he flatly refused to apply to himself. He was weak, he was strong, that's what mattered, but he still refused to follow this saying.

Walking through the streets, the boy picked up an apple, or Appa, and bit into it, enjoying the taste of the apple as he walked through the streets relatively calmly. Looking around, he saw the various demi-humans on the streets, living their own lives while he lived, or tried to live, his own life that had been turned upside down.

"Ahhh... I just wish I had some mayonnaise with me..." The boy, named Subaru Natsuki, walked through the streets with the apples, or Appas, in his hands. When he arrived here, he even tried to make friends with some other children, but they either ignored him or walked away from him. This made Subaru feel down, but he soon had to put those thoughts aside when he was almost tricked and kidnapped to become a slave. However, he used his Rider powers to attack and fight back, and the bandits either left them alone or came back for an even worse beating. He silently thanked his lucky stars for having this Rider equipment with him, even though he himself didn't understand how he got it or who gave it to him.

Walking out of town, Subaru passed the guards, who already knew about the boy because he came back to town almost every day to buy food, so they didn't consider him a threat, because besides looking weak, he didn't even have any weapons. Subaru always greeted the guards, even though at first they didn't respond to his greetings, but little by little they both gave him a slight nod.

Subaru gradually walked away from them, this time with a big smile on his face, because for the first time he had been greeted back. He walked toward a small village where he lived, which was nothing special. But still, at least he had a place to live. Walking along the road until he reached the small village called Averyk, Subaru picked up another Appa and bit into it, enjoying the sweet taste of the fruit.

"Now that I think about it, this city is called Chaosflame... man, I think the name fits the behavior of the city." Subaru said to himself, he soon chuckled as he continued walking and passed some trees along the road to the village.

The path was silent, which left Subaru with a strange taste in his mouth, as such absolute silence was never a normal thing. Then suddenly, a shuriken was thrown at the boy, who raised the box of fruit to block the attack, which made him choke nervously as he fell on his butt on the ground. Looking ahead, the boy saw two people in dark clothes that covered their faces and bodies, each carrying a katana and kunai.

Subaru blinked a few times, and soon he looked at them with stars in his eyes and made an impressed "Woooo!", which left the two beings feeling strange. "Are you two Shinobi? How cool!"

The two looked at each other, not understanding the boy's reaction at all, as people usually looked at them with fear and terror, not with admiration and surprise.

"But anyway. You attacked me, so that gives me carte blanche to fight back." Subaru stood up and immediately picked up a kind of black oval device with a white ball in the center that had a symbol that looked like a fox. The two men looked at him strangely, and soon the boy put the device on his waist, creating a belt.

Desire Driver!

Subaru then took a white device from his back, which again confused the two men, because from what they had seen, the boy didn't have it before. Without saying anything, Subaru placed the device in the right slot of his Driver. "SET" said the Driver as Subaru pointed at the two Shinobi, who instinctively held their weapons. Subaru then snapped his fingers and said, "Henshin." He spun the device's drum and pulled the trigger, firing five bullets that flew toward the two Shinobi.

The two saw this and immediately jumped back to dodge the bullets, which suddenly curved and returned to Subaru, hitting him and causing black clothing to emerge on him with a type of white fox mask over it, while the upper part of an armor hovered beside him. and soon a mechanical hand appeared behind Subaru and grabbed the armor, pulling it towards Subaru and making him enter his Rider form, Kamen Rider Geats.

Magnum!

Ready... Fight!

The two Shinobi widened their eyes, as they thought they would only have one more victim to enjoy their training on, so what the hell just happened?

"Want to try a little taste?." Geats kid held his pistol firmly, his weapon called Magnum Shooter 40X, then he pointed it at the two Shinobis and shot at them, which made them both run and jump around Geats. Where the two threw poisoned kunais, but they bounced off his armor and did not affect him.

Geats quickly pulled the trigger of his Magnum's magazine. "Bullet Charge!" Geats held his weapon firmly, but was soon struck in the neck by a katana. However, the Rider grabbed the blade with his free hand and placed the tip of the barrel against the Shinobi's stomach, surprising him because his blade had failed to cut through his armor. but before he could think any further, Geats pulled the trigger of his Magnum, firing several shots like a machine gun at the Shinobi's stomach, sending him flying and knocking him unconscious.

The other Shinobi looked at it in fear. He needed to urgently inform the other Shinobi, so he ran through the forest to get as far away as possible, as this was valuable information for anyone.

"Ah, but you're not going anywhere," Geats said mockingly. He quickly pressed the trigger button and switched his Magnum to rifle mode.

Rifle!

After changing his Magnum from pistol mode to rifle mode, Geats pulled the charging handle again. "Charge!" Geats stood up straight, his Magnum in rifle mode raised and aimed at the Shinobi, who was still running zigzag through the forest, but that didn't matter to Geats' aim. Calmly, he aimed his Magnum Shooter 40X, and a few seconds later, he pulled the trigger and fired a shot.

Tactical Shoot!

A quick burst of light came out of the rifle barrel and flew towards the Shinobi, who was hit in the back, burning it badly as he fell to the ground unconscious.

Geats stood still for a moment, then lowered his rifle and looked in the direction of the shot. "Boy, that shot was really well done," the Rider said to himself as he put one hand on his waist. He then looked at the Shinobi on the ground, who was bleeding from the Rider's shots. "Mom, Dad, I'm sorry if I seem like a murderer, but that's how it is here... either you kill... or you die."

Geats switched his Magnum Shooter 40X to pistol mode and immediately placed it in the holster on his waist. He walked over to the box with the Appas... or apples, which he had bought earlier, and put the apples back in the box, where he looked around, and then walked back towards the village of Averyk, where the boy was currently residing.

Several meters away, a passing carriage heard the noises and stopped so that the person inside could see what they were. But when the carriage did so, a girl with orange hair and crimson eyes glanced out the window, but soon stuck her head out when she saw that unusual scene. A boy in completely strange armor and clothes and an even stranger weapon that fired magical shots had just defeated two unknown Shinobi and was simply walking away.

The girl continued to watch the boy in armor continue walking, then suddenly his armor disappeared and he returned to his normal appearance. The girl couldn't see his face, but his physical stature showed that he seemed to be almost the same age as her. The girl put a finger on her chin, thinking about that intriguing boy.

"Princess Prisca, are you all right?" The coachman driving the carriage asked the princess, who was still silent and thinking about the scene she had just seen. The coachman also seemed worried, or at least frightened, as he himself had never seen anything like it in his entire life.

"Take me to my domain, commoner. Now." Prisca ordered him, then sat back down in the carriage seat while the coachman cracked the reins of the earth dragon and it began to head toward the imperial capital of Vollachia. As he left, Prisca Benedict, one of the heirs to the throne of Vollachia, who was undecided about whether she really wanted this position, thought about the boy she had seen. She herself shouldn't care about it, but the boy... everything about him caught her attention, from his armor, his weapon, even the way he reacted after killing the two Shinobi, not with pride, but with... exhaustion. "This boy... I need to know more about him," Prisca thought as she allowed herself a small smile.

[...]

Averyk Village, a small village with just over 50 inhabitants, was the village Subaru approached when he came to this world. In this village, he learned the moment he set foot in it that nothing would be easy, not even with his equipment would his life be easy. At first, he asked some of the inhabitants for help, but most of them just ignored him, except for one person, a semi-human adult woman, who seemed to have an expression of tiredness, where she saw Subaru and somehow agreed to take him in. Perhaps it was because he was a lost child, perhaps it was because of his sad look, perhaps it was because he seemed helpless, perhaps it was because of his equipment... whatever it was, she took him in, and he was extremely grateful for that.

Miss Lily, Lily Miridy. The name of the woman who took Subaru in, her gaze seemed to be one of exhaustion, as if she had gone through something very hard in the past, but now she was able to live with it.

Entering Miss Lily's house, Subaru closed the door and walked to the dining table, where he placed the box with the Appas and called out to the woman who was currently taking care of him. "Miss Lily, here's what you asked for."

Lily, who was in the kitchen preparing dinner, looked back and saw the box of fruits and vegetables, but she narrowed her eyes as she examined the box. "Subaru, you ate some, didn't you?"

Subaru blinked a few times and gave her an innocent smile while blinking cutely at her. This made Lily sigh and shake her head. "What am I going to do with you?"

"Give me some affection and let me train?" Subaru asked, still with an innocent smile on his face.

Lily sighed, walked up to Subaru, and crouched down to his height. "Subaru, were you attacked again?" The question made Subaru look away as he tapped his fingers together, hesitating to say it, as it wasn't the first time he had to defend himself from thieves or people trying to kill him, something he didn't want to fight back, but it was them or himself.

"Ahh, it's okay." Subaru sighed wearily. "Two people who I think were Shinobi tried to rob me, kidnap me, or something like that."

Lily sighed. She herself didn't want the boy to have to defend himself and attack people to kill them, but that's how this damn land was. Either you get stronger, or you get trampled. "All right, just... just don't act like it's normal."

"I don't really like it, but... but it's necessary," Subaru said, and Lily nodded and stood up, returning to the kitchen to prepare dinner for the two of them.

"Just stop robbing the bandits who try to rob you," Lily said as she focused on the food.

"But they robbed me first, so if I rob them back, it's fair game, right?" Subaru made two gun signs with his index fingers while clicking his tongue and winking at her. This earned him a reproachful look from the woman. "Sorry." He walked over to stand beside her. "Want some help?"

"So you can cut your finger again? I don't think so."

"It was just once! I swear! I'm not that incompetent!"

"I didn't say that."

"But you implied it!"

End of chapter.

Notes:

So, what do you think of this new fic? Well, currently, the Raise Buckles or armor that Subaru has at the moment are as follows: Magnum, Boost, Ninja, Monster, Beat, and Fever. If you think this fic could develop well, comment so I know if it would be good.
