It is a well-known fact that Etho and Bdubs had something for each other. So, during the end-of-season party, it was arranged that Etho could show off his rather gigantic muscles for Bdubs. It was agreed that the party would take place at Magical Mountain, for the simple reason that it is close to the water so they could also cool off a bit.
Gem: So everyone comes in swimwear or takes it with them?<
Scar: Don't you have to tell me twice.
Etho:I’m not sure about that?
Bdubs: I'm going to do that too, so I need someone to hold on to.
Joel: So you're saying you're short :).
Bdubs: NOOOOO
Mumbo: If even I am going to lie in the water a bit.
Welsh: Because otherwise you turn to dust?
Mumbo: No, I have really good sunscreen.
X: Who was going to handle the food and drinks again?
Grian: The dads, Tango, xb, and Jimmy.
X: Okay.
When the day finally arrives, everyone arrives at Grian's base dressed in summer clothes. Some also arrive with a shoulder bag containing a few odds and ends, such as beach blankets, balls, parasols, and various types of sunscreen. Others have pool floats or other related items with them. When Etho arrives, he is still suspiciously dressed compared to the rest. "Hey Etho, haven't you changed into anything yet?" Gem asks him.
"I feel a bit embarrassed for that exact reason."
To which Gem replies, "That isn't necessary, not that anyone would force you." With a sigh, Etho asks where he can change. "Why don't you just go to one of my houses?" says Gem.
"Okay."
A little later, Bdubs arrives and asks where Etho is. "He went to change." Pearl says.
"Oh, I can't wait," he says excitedly.
When Etho is almost ready, there is a knock on the door. "Almost ready."
"Okay then, someone is waiting for you."
"Can I leave my things here?" He asks just to be sure.
"Yeah, just leave it there." Gem answers sweetly.
When he returns to the rest wearing his swimming shorts and a t-shirt, he suddenly feels something on his back. "You're finally here!" Which makes him blush a little.
"And now what?"
"Have you put on sunscreen yet?" Practically jupming to help.
"Yes, but my back still needs to be done." Without having to say another word, he is signaled to take off his t-shirt. "Okay, okay, take it easy. It's only just started here."
After this happens, he’s pulled along to the water's edge. "I'll jump in first, then you. Is that okay?" Bdubs asks.
"That's fine with me."
So, with a reasonable jump from the diving board set up for this event, Bdubs lands in the water with a rather big splash. "Now it's your turn." With a bit of hesitation and absolutely no self-confidence, he walks to the board. Before he jumps, he squeezes his eyes and nose shut and eventually he jumps into the water with a gigantic splash, and accidentally loses something that Bdubs sees immediately, turning him as red as a tomato just as quickly.
"What? Is something wrong?"
The only thing Bdubs does is point underwater. Upon realizing what he means, he turns bright red too and looks around frantically when he hears,
"Who lost their swimming shorts?" So there he floats, bright red and without anything to cover his manhood. By the time it takes him to worry about this, Bdubs comes back with what he lost.
"Accidents happen, nothing to be ashamed of. Literally no one reacted to me going to get them back. Just put them back on quickly." What he doesn't say is that he got suspiciously aroused by what he saw.
"Thank you! I don't know what I would do without you."
When it is time for dinner, he has dressed himself back a bit, and a disappointed Bdubs is sitting next to him. "Can't I steal a glance at it later again?"
"What?!" as several turn their gaze towards them. Meanwhile, Etho receives a knowing look and a shoulder on his side from Joel. After this whole thing, he’s the one who goes home first, but when he arrives, he realizes he has been followed. "Really?" he asks with mild irritation.²
"Can I help it if I want some more ‘fun’? Although just cuddling is good enough." Rolling his eyes, he can't say no to his boyfriend. So that is exactly what they do, cuddling on Etho's bed until Bdubs, who is still just wearing his own swimming shorts, falls asleep and Etho sighs happily and as he also drifts off.
