Ever Loving Hell

Summary:

An synopsis of the Ever Loving Hell series, and character introductions.

Work Text:

The Ever Loving Hell is an original work series about some greasers in a little gang.

There is no real "cannon" to the series, it's more a collection of AU's, but there is a "main" universe, or rather the like basic starting point universe. They are a bunch of greasers in 50's-60's America who are all unknowingly queer, or in denial of being queer, that all live together in a gas station with a house and camper van on the lot. That is the main universe, and most of my writings start from that point and go in different directions after. Who is first to figure out they're queer this time? Who accidentally falls for their friend this time? Who discovers the others secret first this time? And every fic is reset to 0 at the start of the next one. The name Ever Loving Hell is from the fact they are forever falling in love in different worlds, and because it just fits, idk.

But there are of course lots of others too, Lion King AU, modern AU, animal AU, they are a bunch of saints in space AU(yes, I have that).

The works can (usually) be read in any order.

I just love the characters and write them in different stories and different scenarios and different stories!

If anyone ends up a fan of this series or these characters they are free to make their own works with them! No need to ask for permission if you want to write a fic about them. It honestly fits in their "cannon" of being the same characters just in a thousand different universes. The only thing you can't do is claim you are the creator of these characters, obviously.

Here is just an introduction to the characters, along with links to their Toyhouse page(if they have one).

Bobby Donavan Jr

Typical loudmouth greaser who overplays all his action with bravado. He has a big heart, but tries not to let is show, it’s not tough to cry over romantic dramas, but he is not good at subtlety or keeping his emotions in check.

He looks black when he’s with his white friends, and white when he’s with his black friends, a curious situation in the 50’s. He also has red hair, which he covers up with black hair dye because it’s not very cool to be a redhead.

Dale Vance

“Whatever” incarnate. Is the laziest but works the hardest, well dressed but doesn’t brush his hair, shows little emotion but cares most of all. All contradictions.

He’s not known for showing interest in anything or being expressive, but he is flamboyant and showy still. Draped in silk shirts and sleeping on the sofa. He avoids most work but is also the one keeping the show going, someone has to do all the paper work and he knows none of the others are gonna do it.

Michael "Luney" Luna

An all American man! Like a misplaced jock, someone who looks and sounds like they should be a prep and leader of the football team and someone police officers call ‘son’.

Yet here he is, a greaser hanging with people his parents would call hoodlums and lowlifes. Everyone seam confused as to why he is here, except him, he’s just happy to be here and help out his friends. An obnoxious ray of sunshine in their gloomy world.

Hank "Lil' Gator" Dunford

Mellow Floridian country boy. He may be stupid, but he ain’t dumb! At least when it comes to emotional intelligence, that he got more of than any of the others. Normal intelligence? It leaves something to be desired… But that may be because of his upbringing, overly conservative, no swearing, no newfangled “science”, nothin’ more than how to fix a truck real good!

He ain’t drifted much from his roots, but somehow hes found himself in this gang, maybe he doesn’t really know what greasers are all about? Or maybe he just thinks “Ain’t none ‘o my business” and goes about his day in his simple peace.

Brick "Rusty" Rhed

Redneck scrap rat. Overly energetic, overly disorganized, overly overt. Too much, that is what he is. Loves hoarding junk and messing with people. Some find him unnerving because of his intensity, because when he focuses on something he wants, he ain’t stopping, and a lot of the time that thing is doing something to deliberately provoke people.

He walks side to side with Hank everywhere, they are idiots in arms. And good thing too, because Hank ain’t upset or perturbed by anything he says or does, and can somehow, even, make him stop. Because no matter how much he loves making people upset, he’d hate to ever actually hurt someone, and if Hank of all people gets upset, he sulks like a puppy.

Sonny "Sunny" De La Sol

Cold like an iceberg, dangerous like a cougar. His nickname, obviously, is sarcastic, he is the gloomiest and most pessimistic of their group. Constantly snapping insults and biting back at any compliment he gets, almost adverse to positivity.

He says he is the only sane person in their gang and that he’s the only level headed one, except Dale, but he doesn’t count! But Sunny is often the one who can’t see straight through his negative world view, being negative to almost a prideful, arrogant point, thinking saying anything positive is a loss. Because behind those dark glasses is an awful, shameful, secret he could never admit to anyone, least of all himself.
He wants a hug.

Tyson LaBella

The pretty boy, the normal one, the square. The one who fits in the least, being a beauty and a wallflower. The opposite of their world of grime and boasting. But his quiet goodie two shoes personality isn’t the whole story, he is prone to be… tempted, quite easily in fact. He is in a constant quiet war with himself over what is right and wrong, it being very obvious his view of right and wrong being the same as legal and illegal.

And being a wallflower doesn’t stop him from being imposing when he needs to be, mess with his immaculately organized tools and you mess with his immaculately organized reprimands. He won’t curse you out, he will tell you everything you’ve done wrong in a calm quiet voice while staring daggers at you. But occasionally his Italian blood shows, and he swears out your ancestors for birthing you.
