Chapter Text

The first time Flame met Wemmbu was on JamatoP’s base, he and the other guards hadn’t expected anyone to be there, but as they walked deeper thay had noticed recently mined blocks and the sound of someone mining.

After seeing a name tag, Flame’s first reaction had been violence, as he straight up went to attack, catching the other player off guard.

The fight had been pretty unfair, as it was a 3v1 and two of those three were insane PvPers, making the winning chances for the chungui practically 0. At some point of the fight, the player had run off deeper, leading them to where JamatoP currently was. Surprisingly, Jamato started helping the random player fight them off, until eventually, ManePear managed to calm everyone down by holding Flame back, letting them start a normal conversation.

Surprisingly they had the same objective: find spoke. So they let the player live temporarily and brought him to their king Zam to hear his opinion on the whole deal.

As every single elytra from the server had dissapeared, they had to use a flying red stone mashine for transportation, Wemmbu, the player who’s name he learned on the trip, had whined and complained about the slowness of the mashine as he would have preferred flying with his elytra.

In the majority of the trip, Flame had stood closer than necessary to Wemmbu, just in case the man tried to fly away from boredom. His eyes were trained on him, at the start it had been merely out of cautiousness, watching his movement for something suspicious, then he started paying attention to the details, taking advantage of his blindfold, he started analyzing him.

If someone asked him he would just say that he was supervising him in case he tried something funny, but the way he was looking at the shorter player said a totally different story.

Flame had quickly been captivated by the others beauty, he hadn’t expected for a man to be this stunning. The more he looked the more he noticed, the horns, the Tiara, the way his hair moved with the wind, his soft and pale skin…

Flame had never really been interested in anything that had to do with love and romantic relationships, he had never really liked a girl, and liking a boy hadn’t even crossed his mind before, but now there he was, fighting had been all his life was about until now, had he really just fallen in love at first sight with a random player?

If you told that to Flame before he had entered Jamari’s house, he would have snorted before stabbing you with his sword, how could The Immortal Demon fall in love so easily? It had to be a joke.

Flame didn’t really know how to act or feel, he had never liked anyone so he didn’t really know how those things worked. Eventually he ended up concluding that he just was attracted to his beauty and that the feeling that felt like butterflies scratching at his stomach would eventually die out.

As his thoughts kept stacking over one another, he didn’t notice himself slightly drifting closer to Wemmbu, as if he were a magnet slowly pulling at Flame.

As they docked and got onto another red stone mashine, Flame and Wemmbu had been left alone, as ManePear left them alone temporarily because had to go search for the other guard that had been left behind.

Seeing Mane running away while screaming the guards name, Wemmbu couldn’t help but slightly laugh.

Flame hadn’t expected him to start a conversation, “Is it always like this here?” The question had been simple, but it had been followed by a giggle that nearly made Flame’s heart jump out of his rib cage.

He had fought wars, killed thousands of players, won all his battles, he was the strongest, but now why and how was this stranger making him feel all weak and nervous all of a sudden?

“Ohh uhm yeahh..” He was usually more confident and careless, but now he was suddenly too nervous to even answer normaly. The silence had become increasingly uncomfortable and akward, seeing his brother coming back with the other guard had made him sigh in relief.

As they docked onto the castle, Wemmbu became increasingly nervous, he knew the players surrounding him were extremely skilled, he knew they could kill him at any given second, so he had to be extremely careful with his words.

The fact that The FlameFrags had been constantly looking at him didn’t help, he probably thought that the blindfold hid it perfectly, but Wemmbu had been able to feel his piercing gaze all the way, but he had been to afraid to comment about it.

After making it to the throne room the negotiations had started, Zam had been really intimidating but the conversation was going really well, that was until a player named Mapicc appeared out of nowhere and started attacking Zam.

Everyone had immediately taken action on attacking Mapicc and protecting Zam, they hadn’t expected for half the throne room to suddenly blow up, creating an escape for Mapicc.

As they followed him trough the empire, the situation became worse, as a giant red stone plane loaded up with TNT was flying over the empire, blowing up everything in its way.

Looking close enough, he could make out players jumping off the plane, probably ready to fight and destroy. His assumptions were proven right when the group of player’s started placing and lighting TNT all around the empire, blowing multiple houses up.

Through all of the fight, Zam kept asking Wemmbu for answers, as it clearly was suspicious that the empire gets under attack just when Wemmbu is there to negotiate.

Seeing everyone trying to stop the plane made him suddenly rember his elytra, he quickly flew up and broke part of the mashinery, completely stopping the plane.

The rest of the fight didn’t take that long, the attackers eventually realized they couldn’t win and used their staisis to get away, leaving the destroyed empire behind. The only casualty had been a player called TeamKalal who had accidentally blown himself up.

After the fight Zam still didn’t fully trust him, but the fact that he had stopped the plane and that he was against spoke had made him more reliable.

On the roof of a random destroyed hause, they decided they would team up to kill and ban Spoke from the server, this time though, it would only be Zam and Wemmbu.

.
.
.

The second time Flame and Wemmbu met was on the Zam empire, when Zam had called a meeting with Wemmbu to ask for his assistance in protecting a vault.

The meeting hadn’t been too long, as there wasn’t much to talk about, but for the entirety of it, Wemmbu could feel a familiar gaze burning a hole trough the back of his head.

Flame didn’t think he would ever see Wemmbu again, ever since the fight against Spokes minions, he hadn’t seen him again, and he had hoped it had stayed that way.

Flame had hated the way he had felt, it had made him feel weak, and he hadn’t liked it. After Wemmbu left, he thought that would be it, that there were no more vulnerable feelings fighting him Internally, but when Wemmbu arrived at the meeting room for a talk with Zam, he realized that those feelings had never truly left.

He tried fighting it, but his thoughts and gaze kept drifting back to Wemmbu, and he couldn’t help but notice the changes. Wemmbu’s hair was slightly longer than before, it hadn’t been long since they last saw eachother so the change wasn’t big, it was barely noticable, but Flame still noticed, and he hated himself for that.

As he stared at him, he slowly realized that the last time he hadn’t really examined him fully, so he took this as an opportunity to do so.

Trusting the familiar cloth covering his eyes, his gaze started to wander, from hair to face, from face to clothes and from clothes to body structure. Wemmbu’s body wasn’t really muscular, so he guessed he wasn’t an experienced fighter, which sucked.

Flame had been disappointed at the realization, but after watching Wemmbu’s body more closely, he thought it maybe wasn’t that bad, as the hips and the waist made up for it, the thought left as quickly as it arrived, Flame had been too embarrassed by it so he shooed it away.

Mojang, what was he thinking?

As time passed, he started seeing and interacting with Wemmbu more, slowly falling deeper into the pit his own heart had created.

Wemmbu’s beauty and confidence had caught Flame off guard, his cocky attitude and his constant rage bait being the cherry on top. Yes, it could seem annoying at some point to have someone constantly trying to get a reaction out of you, but seeing Wemmbu trying so hard to get his attention while acting nonchalant about it just made his heart flutter more. Wemmbu eventually became an essential part of Flame’s and Mane’s lifes, as they all hung out constantly when they could, sometimes it was just Wemmbu and Flame, sometimes it was just Wemmbu and Mane, and sometimes it was just Mane and Flame, it really just depended on who was free and who wasn’t. Flame eventually learned to accept his feelings for Wemmbu, he knew he liked him but still sometimes fought the thought, it still made him feel weaker than ever. Some months after realizing his feelings, Flame finally accumulated the courage to confess his feelings to Wemmbu, Mane had helped him all the way and at the moment seemed to be more excited than Flame himself.

Wemmbu had hesitated for some seconds before looking away in embarrassment and reciprocating Flames feelings, who quickly became the second happiest player in this server, the first one on that list had been Mane, that had been hiding behind a bush the whole time and had started screaming and jumping in joy when Wemmbu reciprocated Flames feelings, catching both Flame and Wemmbu off guard.

Flame and Wemmbu had agreed on keeping their relationship a secret, to not cause controversy across the server nor the empire. The only ones who had known of their relationship were ManePear, Eggchan and Boosfer, who Wemmbu had forced to promise to not tell a soul.

Wemmbu had thought that at some point, they would eventually tell everyone about their relationship, he didn’t know that Flame had planned on keeping it a secret forever, he didn’t want people to know he had fallen in love.
