Regulus Black woke up to the pinging of his phone alarm. A relentless noise really, he couldn’t even remember why he had set it. “ REGULUS” Walpurga Black suddenly screeched up the stairs, “ GET UP!”. Regulus groaned he had forgotten it was the first day back to school. He swung his legs out of bed grimacing as his feet hit the cold wood floor, leaning over he shut off the alarm and ended the pinging. He already had a headache. He heard feet thundering down the hall and his mother yelling “ SIRIUS CALM DOWN THIS INSTANT” but Regulus knew his brother wasn’t going to calm down. Today was his first day back and he had to get to Hogwarts grammar school for boys before the first bell to see his friends. Regulus let out an exasperated sigh as he pulled on his jeans and t-shirt, his mother was already in a foul mood and it was only seven o’clock. Slipping on his shoes he ran out the door after Sirius his only ride. He hates riding with Sirius because of how loud he kept the music, if Regulus wanted to listen to seventies pop rock and seven thirty in the morning he would go to the counselors office. “ hey” Regulus jumped as Barty Crouch jr jumped out at him, he was approached secondly by Evan Rosier with his twin sister Pandora in tow. Barty was objectively handsome, with paler olive skin and brown hair with green streaks in the front, a hard set jaw, a sleeve of tattoos and multiple piercings. Evan, Barty’s boyfriend, had dark ochre skin, blonde hair that was tighter curled and brown at the roots. Pandora was a beautiful girl, not that Regulus liked girls but she was indeed very pretty, she had the same skin and hair as Evan being identical twins they obviously looked, well identical. But what Regulus liked the most was her eyes, Pandora had heterochromia so she had one brown eye and one blue eye speckled with green. Evan greeted him in the usual way a, nod and a low hello, everyone knew Regulus hated physical affection, Pandora however embraced him bangles clacking and dinging in his ear, she smelled like lemons, vanilla and something else vaguely earthy. “ Hello Reg” she said in her light voice, Regulus only allows Pandora and Dorcas to hug him, nobody else. At the thought of Dorcas he noticed she was missing from the group. “ Where’s Dorcas?” he asked, scanning the faces of his friends “ dunno” Barty shrugged, raising Evan’s head with his shoulder. Evan groaned from his resting position when Barty moved. Regulus’ brow furrowed where is she? he wondered why isn’t she here?. The first bell rang out to go to class startling him out of his thoughts the boys said good bye to Pandora and headed to their form groups
