Part 1: Jongseob
Jongseob had been at the dance studio for hours now, trying to get the choreo for the title track of their new album coming up perfected. The other members had left after practice had originally ended at 5 and now it was almost 8. Panting from the exertion, Jongseob ran his hair through his fingers and started to pack up, finished practicing for the night. “Gosh, I can’t wait to eat whatever Jiung-hyung is cooking for dinner tonight, I am famished.” Little did he know what awaited him outside the building……
The wind was chilling when Jongseob stepped out the door and that’s when he saw a man. He had mid-length pure blonde hair, the most piercing blue eyes Jongseob had ever seen and, oddly enough, he was dressed like he came straight out of 16th century France. The unidentified man walked up to him and said, “Jongseob, come to me, come to me Jongseob.”
Jongseob, not knowing what was going on or what this insane sasaeng wanted, turned and started running for his life. In the blink of an eye the man was right in front of him. He stared Jongseob down as he skidded to a stop and before Jongseob could take another breath the man grabbed his neck and bit down. The last thought Jongseob had before his consciousness slipped away was, “I wish I could have kissed Soul before I died.”
Part 2: Keeho
Keeho was humming along to the newest pop song that he’d heard on the radio earlier, something about bubbles and romance, in his comfiest pajamas and his favorite show all set up on the tv, as he sat down on his bed. His thoughts wandered to Jongseob, his hardworking dongsaeng, and hoped he wasn’t being too hard on himself with their new album. Keeho’s worrying was interrupted when he heard a loud groaning come from outside. It sounded like metal being weighed down by a heavy object. Getting up from the bed, Keeho crept towards his window to pull back the curtains. Something in him was screaming to be cautious, to back away and run far far away, but Keeho ignored it. What was there to be afraid of outside anyway? He scoffed. Some harmless trees, a couple walking home from a date night, the clou-
The window shattered.
Glass rained down on Keeho where he was just inches from pulling open the curtain. A tall man with the bluest eyes he had ever seen gracefully stepped over the windowsill and landed silently on the now glass covered carpet of his room.
“Who are you?” Keeho questioned, his voice was strong, but he had his hands on his hips to hide the fact that they were shaking.
The man grinned, showing off two glinting fangs, “Your worst nightmare.” And the last thing Keeho saw before the mysterious man devoured his flesh was the snake like unhinging of his jaw.
Part 3: Everyone Else
Jiung was out in the living room talking to Intak about gosh knows what while Soul was blabbing to Theo about this new videogame he bought, when a choked scream came from down the hall. Jiung and Intak jumped to their feet, and Soul, who had been previously focused on making sure Theo was taking in his every word, whipped his head towards the sound. Everyone took glances at each other before Theo broke the silence.
“What, and I guess more importantly, WHO was that???” He got varying stages of an actual reply and was about to go down the hall when the door to Keeho’s room burst open. I guess that mystery is solved was what came to Theo’s mind first before processing the implications of the sounds that had come from the hall. Before anyone could really gain their bearings and go investigate a tall, blonde, blue-eyed, man came out of the room and slinked down the hallway.
“Why hello there my pretties, it seems I have hit the jackpot tonight.” His words sent a chill down everyone’s spines, all standing shocked and still at the threatening and bizarre man that had exited their hyung’s room.
“Why are you here?? Where is Keeho-hyung?? Who even are you??” The words seemed to spill out of Intak’s mouth before he could think about how stupid of an idea it was to talk to a man who had mysteriously appeared in their house and had blood smeared around his mouth.
“All will be answered in due time.” The man said mysteriously, while licking his lips of remaining speckles of blood. He sidestepped where Jiung had frozen in place and relaxed himself upon the couch, lazily surveying the sparsely decorated living room with assessing eyes. “I don’t suppose you guys know who I am? That pretty blondie at the dance studio and who was it you said, Keeho right, didn’t recognize me so I’m assuming you’re all the same.” The way he spoke was like walking out of a time machine. The general feelings of the members were confused and scared but mostly confused.
“My name is Lestat and I’m the most renowned and adored Vampire in the world.” As he spoke a smug smile appeared on his face, like he was saying something to be envious of and not completely insane.
“I’m sorry I think this is a huge misunderstanding or maybe you need a doctor? Quick Theo get an ambulance on the phone, and maybe the cops now that I’m thinking about.” As soon as those words left Intak’s mouth, there was a cracking sound, and before anyone in the room could even figure out where the noise came from, there was Lestat standing over Intak’s crumpled, lifeless form.
“Would anyone else like to suggest something as idiotic as calling the cops?” His face was terrifying; Lestat’s eyes were narrow and his posture resembled that of a hunter waiting for the wrong move. Soul gulped audibly, causing Lestat’s eyes to flicker in his direction. “Great, a volunteer! Come here, I want to show you all, or who’s still alive anyway, the reason I’m so beloved by vampire kind.” He beckoned Soul forward, his face still a terrifying glare, and delicately put his hand on the back of Soul’s neck.
“Now look into my eyes and don’t try to struggle or I’ll kill you and your friends faster than you can say rubber baby buggy bumpers.” Soul had no choice but to listen lest he risk the lives of him and his friends. Theo and Jiung watched as Lestat and Soul made eye contact, and Lestat’s eyes started to glow. When he started to speak, it was so low that Theo almost couldn’t even tell sound was coming out much less understand what hellish words Lestat was whispering into Soul’s ear.
“I want you to take a knife from the kitchen and plunge it into your black-haired friend over there, what’s his name?” Lestat took a moment to question.
“That’s Jiung-hyung.” Soul mumbled, his eyes dazed and obviously not very aware of his surroundings.
“Your Jiung-hyung then.” Lestat repeated. Lestat blinked and released his hold on Soul’s neck before looking towards the kitchen expectantly. Without a word, Soul started walking towards the kitchen, grabbing a knife and came back into the living room with blank, glossed over eyes.
“My compulsion is only second to that filthy Armand’s” Lestat continues, “no matter how much someone doesn’t want to do something, it cannot be overcome. Because of my great compulsion abilities and my great power in other areas of vampiric interest, I am admired and envied by all who know the truth behind my name.”
Jiung’s eyes widened in fear as Soul slowly started stalking towards him, knife pointing straight out in his firm grip.
“Soul please you don’t want to do this.” He backed away, hands coming up as if to shield himself from the butcher knife Soul held in his hands. But Soul didn’t seem to hear him. Theo tried to grab Soul’s arm to pull him away from where he had started to press the knife to Jiung’s jugular, but Lestat was having none of his fun ruined. He snatched Theo away from Soul and ripped his head clean off his shoulders, spattering blood onto his clothes and Soul’s back. Dropping Theo’s body, Lestat glowered at the head in his hand. “Meddlesome humans, too reckless for their own good.”
Soul had continued walking towards Jiung until he had backed him into a wall and faintly Jiung heard what Lestat had muttered to Theo. By this point Jiung was crying, pushing against Soul with weakening arms as the knife cut and started to draw blood. It was no use. Jiung went limp. Soul pushed the knife, slicing open Jiung’s neck. As soon as Jiung took his final breath, the fog that had washed over Soul’s brain lifted. He stared down at Jiung’s body in horror, looking at the blood and the knife in his hand.
“NO. JIUNG NO!” Soul was screaming, tears started flowing from his eyes as he dropped down to kneel in front of Jiung, dropping the knife like it burned him. Just as quickly as he’d fallen, he stood back up, turning to face Lestat who had a cheshire-like grin painted across his face.
“YOU SICK MONSTER! WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME? WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY FRIENDS?? WHAT DID YOU MAKE ME DO TO THEM???” Tears were still dripping down his now flushed face, sweat beaded down his forehead as he glared at Lestat.
Lestat sighed. “Ugh, my food is so much less fun to eat when it’s screaming at me, oh well I suppose I’ve had my fun.” and as fast as all the times before, he bit down on Soul’s neck and drained him of his blood, carelessly dropping the body on the bloody tile once he had his fill.
Part 4: Lestat
Lestat blinked into awareness, looking around in confusion at the bodies that littered the floor around him. P1harmony members…? Lestat questioned. His eyes widened, “Oh no, what happened!?? My beloved P1harmony. My ult group, my life, the band of my dreams, what HAVE I DONE?!?” Lestat had no recollection of his killing spree. He didn’t remember killing the p1harmony members and never in his right mind would he ever fathom doing something to his beloved K-pop band.
From somewhere far away Armand gleamed, recognizing his control over Lestat had lifted. He would never let Lestat be happy and as the world’s biggest Evol he just couldn’t have XLOV fighting against P1harmony for Billboard’s number one spot.
Meanwhile Lestat was in agony, his heart ached at what he had done, and he knew what he needed to do. The sun had just begun rising as Lestat opened the front door of the former P1harmony’s apartment. He walked out into the light and let the sun consume him and all his sins.
The End
