Chapter Text
Flappers asks, "So, where are we going now?"
Kit explains, "Both of your planetss have been destroyed and taken by the Syntax, so we've got to regroup at a Hub. And plus, I believe we all need a break after the recent events. We've routed to the closest one from here."
"What's a Hub?"
Kaboodle elaborates, "A Hub is just a Game World that has been made into a more permanent state, for the purposes of Farcade. The kinds of worlds we use to make Hubs are usually more hard to come by, since they only exist naturally for brief windows."
Gobbles inquires, "How does that work? Game Worlds blow up when they're finished, right?"
"Well, these worlds don't have the usual Hero and Villain, like your and Flapper's Game Worlds. Instead, these Worlds are instanced from a far off entity, which we in the Farcade like to call a "Server," because they make the new Game Worlds on demand off of a preset menu."
"What do you mean by 'on demand?'"
Kit replies, "Well, whenever a new one of these shows up, it's a repeat of a type we've seen before, unlike your Worlds which were one-of-a-kind. Shortly after these Game Worlds are created they're briefly populated with a large group of Heroes and these Heroes can both exit and enter the game at will. When there are no heroes left, the game world is ended. However, unlike other Game Worlds, when an Instanced World is ended the Float seems to return to the Server."
Kaboodle finishes, "So what we do is we trick the Instanced World into thinking that we're Heroes, so that as long as one person is inside the Instance, it stays forever."
Flappers exclaims, "Oh, that's cool. So, what kind of Instanced World are we going into?"
Nimble announces, "Now arriving at: Trace and Frag 2 - Tall Spires. Remember to enter via the Gateway to prevent being kicked."
