After several years of living on Erid as a teacher, Ryland Grace and Rocky manage to build another spaceship With the Hail Mary programing. Grace wanted more chances to see the beauty of the universe.
Along the way, they find the blood moon that Simon was on. Simon, not long since abandoned by those who sent him into the blood ocean, was barely alive in a tin can of a submarine that was gradually filling up with blood.
Grace and Rocky “go fishing” and pull the submarine up. Once the blood is drained, they check a very beat up Simon and treat his wounds.
