It's 12/15/2004 the fourth time christmas has fallen on Garden view after it's closure, Ginger was running back to the bunker where the rest of them were, she was unlucky that her unisolated time was going to happen at the same time as christmas, but at least she got to start it early!
Ginger-"I'm here!" She said after finally reaching the bunker.
Bobette-"... Huh?" She said, waking up just now. "... Is it christimas?"
Ginger-"Yeah! My unisolated time started before yesterday, which is why i'm already awake."
Bobette-"Pretty unlucky of you, the same happened to me last year, except it was 4 days before christmas."
Rudie-"Our sleepiness is gone!" He said as he jumped around. "Lets get back to christmas! Everyone must be waiting for us!"
Coal-"Bwoof."
Bobette-"Nice to see you awake my good girl!"
Coal-"Bworf!"
The x-mas toons got out of the basement and started to spread the christmas spirit.
Bobette-"Hey Ginger, were you able to convince Scraps to bake with you?"
Ginger-"I would to say yes, but I wasn't able to..."
Bobette-"She said "But Cosmo and Sprout are better than me!", right?"
Ginger-"Yeah..."
Bobette-"... You can always try more times at least..."
Rudie-"... Why don't you ask for your christmas present to be you and Scraps bake together?"
Ginger-"Huh?"
Rudie-"Like, i'm sure Bobette would be able to convince Scraps to bake with her, even more now than before, considering the other toons have started to help her make the presents."
Bobette-"... That's an genius idea Rudie! Do you want this to be your gift?"
Ginger-"... Wait a second, im acting like this is an hard question when it isn't at all... Hmm... Yes, i want it to be."
Bobette-"Good to hear! Yours will be the only one i'll give earlier than everyone else!" She said as she started to run off to find Scraps.
Ginger-"I'll wait at the kitchen.
After a bit of running, she found Goob on Dandy shop, one of her elf's (elf's are basically toons that help Bobette make presents).
Bobette-"Heya Goob!"
Goob-"Heya Bobette! I was already going to your shop help you! My gf reminded me to!"
Bobette-"I wasn't here to remind you to go to- What do you mean gf?"
Goob-"I've been dating Shelly ever since the last month!"
Bobette-"Really? Oh im so happy for you! But came to you to-" She's cut off by Dandy.
Dandy-"I need you two to stop talking a bit, she came..." The two of them knew it was Vee who was coming.
Vee-"Dandy." She said with rage.
Dandy-"Vee." He said with even more rage.
They stared each other for a bit before kissing.
Bobette-"... What?"
Vee-"Here's the news, me and Dandy have been dating ever since i was brought to life, and our hate was basically an facade."
Dandy-"The pestering wasn't hate tho, it was just us showing love the the other!"
Bobette-"... Okay... Let me guess, Looey and Astro are dating?"
Goob-"Correct!"
Bobette-"Makes sense... At least Sprout and Cosmo can't pester Looey by saying he's in love on Astro."
Goob-"It's actually they're!"
Bobette-"What do you mean?"
Goob-"Looey changed his pronouns to he/him they/them!"
Bobette-"Cool!"
Dandy-"... What do you mean he changed his pronouns?"
Goob-"Yeah, he changed his pronouns because he was more comfortable with they/them!"
Dandy-"You can do that?"
Goob-"Yeah! Teagan was the first one to change their pronouns!"
Dandy-"Oohhh... Does that mean i can use they/them?"
Goob-"As long as you're comfortable with it, yes!"
Dandy-"Then i guess i'll use they/them, mostly so i can test if i'm comfortable with it."
Vee-"You're the stupidest toon i've ever seen..."
Dandy-"At least i'm cute and your stupid toon!"
Vee-"At least you have two good things."
Goob-"So, why did you want me?"
Bobette-"Oh yeah, Ginger wants to bake with your sister, but whenever she ask her to bake with her, she always says something like "But Cosmo and Sprout are better bakers!", and since i'm the main of the event, i'm going to try my best to make Scraps bake with her!"
Goob-"Oohh! Makes sense! I'm pretty sure she's in our room!"
Bobette-"Thanks Goob!" She said as she ran off to their room.
Goob-"No problem!..." He said as he also ran off, but towards Bobette shop. " Looks like Shelly's chance of being right just got up." He said to himself.
Meanwhile, Scraps is laying on her bed, wondering what she should do, she then remembered that it's christmas, so she gets up and hears someone knock on the door, she was going out anyways so she answers the door.
Scraps-"Hi there Bobette! Goob didn't forget to go to your shop this year."
Bobette-"I actually wanted you!"
Scraps-"Really? For what?"
Bobette-"Ginger wants you to bake with her!"
Scraps-"I know, but Cosmo and Spro-" she's cut off by Bobette.
Bobette-"She doesn't care about your ability at cooking, besides, the toons already tell her she's bad at cooking, even tho i disagree, she wants you to bake with her so you two can bond even more!"
Scraps-"Yeah, but i've never baked be-" She's cut off by Bobette, again.
Bobette-"I've already said she doesn't care about your ability, she wants you"
Scraps-"... Fine..."
Bobette-"Thank you very much dear! Now if you excuse me, i have to go to my shop!" She said as she ran off, but stopped mid track. "Oh yeah, Ginger is in the kitchen!"
Scraps lets out an sigh as she goes to the kitchen. After a bit of walking, she gets there.
Scraps-"Hi Ginger..."
Ginger-"Hi Scraps! Good to see you finally came!"
Scraps-"Yeah..."
Ginger-"Well, what are you waiting? Come here!"
Scraps followed her request and walked towards her.
Ginger-"I already have your apron here, the ingredients, and here's some alcohol gel, since you can't touch water." She said as Scraps picked up the apron and used the alcohol gel. "Now, i was thinking of making some cookies, but i don't know what should be its theme..."
Scraps-"Lets make it X-mas themed."
Ginger-"No, i want this to be special."
Scraps-"... How about we make it be our faces?"
Ginger-"I like that idea! Well, lets get started then!"
They proceeded to make the dough of the cookies, Ginger looked more relaxed than before, and Scraps noticed that, but didn't pay mind to it, and, after they finished making it, they put it in the oven.
Ginger-"See how it's fun to bake with someone you care about?"
Scraps-"Yeah!..."
Ginger-"Now we just have to wait for it to bake."
Scraps-"... Did you know i'm trans?"
Ginger-"Really?"
Scraps-"Yeah, and i only discovered that one month before easter!"
Ginger-"... How?"
Scraps-"Basically, in Arthur's original concept i was an boy, and Goob wasn't even my brother!"
Ginger-"Wow... Guess that explains why you don't have many similarities with your brother... Is this why you didn't want to bake with me?"
Scraps-"No, i don't even care much besides that, i wouldn't have told everyone about it if i did, besides, i only discovered that this year."
Ginger-"Well, what's the reason then?"
Scraps-"To what?"
Ginger-"You know what i'm talking about."
Scraps-"It's because i'm not that good at baking."
Ginger-"You know that the toons say i'm not that good at baking, you know that's not the real reason, tell me, why? If you don't want to, it's fine."
Scraps-"... Fine..." She sighed. "... It's because i don't want to have an friend that is... Only awake for one month... And i'm not that good of a friend to be remembered, i'm immature, i'm snarky, i'm other bad things, i'm not that good at drawing! My whole purpose! Thanks to these claws... I'm just not good enough as Cosmo or Sprout!"
Ginger-"... Scraps..."
Scraps-"I liked you, i wanted to be your friend, but i already listed the reasons to why i'm not..."
Ginger-"And you think that you being flawed means that i won't remember you? If it was true, then why did i always ask you to bake with me every time christmas and my unisolated time came?"
Scraps-"... That's... Still-" She's cut off by Ginger hugging her.
Ginger-"I'm also not good at my purpose, wouldn't that just make us closer?"
Scraps-"!?... I guess..." She says as she returns the hug.
Ginger-"... Besides, our isolation curse is weakening, and it's just weakening faster and faster, the holiday mains are now appearing every time there's an holiday, doesn't matter if it's their holiday, it's just a matter of time before the side characthers are also affected by this, and our unisolated times has been getting bigger an more frequent!"
Scraps-"... It's ..."
Ginger-"... It's fine if you don't want to be my friend..." She says as she slowly releases her from the hug, but Scraps doesn't, in fact, she hugs her tighter.
Scraps-"Wait! I was going to say "It's hard to accept that you'e been wrong this entire time... But i think i can accept it, i i get to be your friend!"..."
Ginger-"Do you mean it?"
Scraps-"I do..."
Ginger-"Well then!" She hugs her again. "We're now friends! This is the happiest moment of my life!"
Scraps-"Same here..."
They waited until it was time to take the cookies out, Scraps decided to take them out.
Scraps-"Well, now it's time to decorate!"
Ginger-"I'll get everything that's needed to decorate."
Scraps wait while she was getting all that they needed.
Bobette-"Hi Scraps!" She said, making Scraps look back.
Scraps-"Hi Bobette, why're you here?"
Bobette-"I wanted to taste the cookies, but it seems i'll have to wait for you two to decorate it!"
Scraps-"Yeah... Do you want to know why i always refused to bake with Ginger?"
Bobette-"Yes!" She says, as Scraps takes an deep breath.
Scraps-"... It's because i was scared that i'm not memorable enough for an toon that only appears on christmas to remember, i'm immature, snarky, bad at my purpose, i'm in general not as good as Cosmo or Sprout... But she was able to change my mind, she did remember me, otherwise she wouldn't keep asking to bake with me, she's also bad at her purpose, and everyone isolation is weakening..."
Bobette-"Does that mean you two are now friends?"
Scraps-"Yes!"
Bobette-"That's great to hear!" She says, seeing Ginger come.
Ginger-"Hi Bobette, why did you come here?" She says as she drops everything on the table.
Bobette-"I wanted to eat the cookies! Oh, and Scraps explained everything, including the part that you two are now friends!"
Ginger-"Good! Well, lets decorate now Scraps?"
Scraps-"Yes!"
Bobette patiently waited for them to decorate the cookies.
Bobette-"Aww, they're decorated to be like you two!" She says as she takes one cookie and takes one bite, making her face became neutral.
Ginger-"... It's so bad that not even Bobette liked it..."
Scraps-"Hey, at least you spent time with someone you care about!"
Ginger-"Yeah..."
Bobette-"Wow, these taste better than ever!" She says as she eats the cookie.
Ginger-"Really?"
Bobette-"Yeah!" She sees Sprout and Cosmo talking nearby. "SPROUT, COSMO, COME HERE!" She shouts, catching their attention and making they come to her.
Cosmo-"Yes?"
Bobette-"Taste these, Scraps and Ginger made them."
Cosmo-"Looks like my cousin was able to bake with Scraps." He says as he takes an cookie.
Sprout-"... Do i have to?"
Bobette-"Yes."
Sprout-"Fine." He says as he takes an cookie.
The two take an bite out of their cookies, and their faces turn neutral.
Cosmo-"... This is good!"
Sprout-"Yeah! What happened? I would expect it be worse, the same, or only slightly better, but this is an massive jump!"
Scraps-"I mean, she was acting calmer, so maybe that's the reason?"
Cosmo-"That makes sense, she's always very nervous when baking, but why did she act calmer?"
Sprout-"Because she was with her girlfriend!" He says, gaining an questioning look from everyone. "What? Ever since Looey and Astro have been dating, i didn't have anyone to pester to about how they're dating someone!"
Cosmo-"... At least it was obvious with them, this here is just two friends!"
Sprout-"Don't care about it enough."
Cosmo-"... Lets leave..." He says as he pulls Sprout.
Bobette-"... Well, care if i bring those cookies to my elfs?"
Ginger-"Not at all!"
Scraps-"Just let us take four, two for each other."
Bobette-"I'll leave six instead, you two deserve it!" She says as she put three Scraps themed ones and three Ginger themed ones and leaves.
Ginger-"Well, bon apetite!"
Scraps-"It's actually bon appetit!" She says as she eats an Ginger one.
Ginger-"I know, i'm just accustomed to saying it like that." She says as she eats an Scraps one. "... Wow, these are pretty good!"
Scraps-"True!" She says, as the two proceed to eat the rest. "Well, would you want to go draw with me?"
Ginger-"Sure!" She says as they leave the kitchen.
