(Rev's pov)
I hate this.
I hate late night walks this far from home, but my library book is done and the library is open 24 hours.
Why does the closest library have to be the next town over?
I mean i know it's funded and connected to the private school across the street, but really? Why does it have to be in a different town.
As I walk down the dark streets, I look around.
It's a semi city, not busy, very quiet.
I look over and see a 24 hour burger place that closed due to foreclosure, never got bought since
As I walk i come up beside the private school, it's one of those schools where stuck up rich kids go or someone smart enough to get a scholarship.
It's very nice, I know for a fact they are having prom tonight. I heard some of the students in the library whispering about it.
A few minutes later I come up to the library and walk in. It's completely empty.
I put my book in the return scanner and then pick out a new book.
An hour later I grab a book on monsters from different mythologies and check out.
I decide to walk a different way then I came, instead of going around the school I go in front.
As I walk past it, I hear screaming.
I stop.
I take a few steps towards it when a hand reaches out and stops me.
"Leave now young one, it isn't your time to help yet." Saids a deep voice
I turn to see the person, they are tall and have a hooded cloak on, beside them a shorter figure also cloaked, and beside them a figure even shorter, cloaked as well.
I go to protest but I can feel their intense gazes and decide against it, I just nod and hurry away.
As I'm leaving I hear a woman's voice, I hide behind a bush, i hear her say, "she is in there?"
A British woman's voice replies, " yes, I can feel her, we need to collect her and train her properly. Howard go in and get the girl, you are the most gentle and by the feel of the aura this is something only you can deal with, it has to do with your.... specialty."
The guy sighs then walks into the school he sheds the cloak as he walks into the shadows of the school.
"Boy, come here, we know you are still here." I hear the British woman say
I freeze up and obey
I stand in front of the hooded women.
Both's auras demand respect and obedience
I bow my head waiting to be scolded like my parents had did many times before
"Rev, you will understand in a few months, till then you can't remember this night at all." Saids the other woman
I look up, how do they know my name?
Black and blue eyes are looking at me through the shadow of the hoods
The one with black eyes puts her hand on my head, "we'll see you in a few months, young revenant and then when the time is right these memories will return"
I faint
When I wake up, I have no memory of the previous night but im back home.
A week later I return my book to the library
The school is closed, weird, and whispers of a mass murder where the murder goes missing and the school being hunted start going around
This is all weird to me
(Bella's pov)
A few months later
I hear fighting and yelling in the halls when I was returning from my walk around the school
I run towards it when I hear a bang, then a crash and a window breaking
When I finally get there I side around the corner
There stands rev vennett, the new kid and a pain in my ass.
He is staring at his chest where blood is welling up
I can see Wendy's bone spear wedged into a locker with blue streaked across it
The window in front of him is broken
I start putting the pieces together
OMG!
He's a revenant
I knew he wasn't human
I try talking to him but he runs off, I mean can you blame him? He just got told he is an undead and not human. I know what that is like, to be told you are a monster and your whole life is a lie
I sigh and go back to my dorm.
(Viviana's pov)
In the principal's office
"Welp, it happened, they found each other, not once, not twice, but three times." I say as I look up at the other two people who were with me during the extraction of miss bella donna
Miss yaga and mr Lovecraft sit in front of me and nod
"What now?" Lovecraft asks
"We wait." I sigh "and let cruel fate take its path" I spat
Yaga and Lovecraft both know I hate fate and my job to keep it on track
Lovecraft reaches for my hand and holds it as he smiles softly at me
I smile back
Miss yaga looks away so she can plea if ever asked that she never saw us breaking the "no romance till fate says we can" rule
"Howard, you should go check on the revenant"
Lovecraft nods and stand up, he kisses the top of my hand once and then walks out
I sigh then get back to work
