Through precise timing and lots of onion rings, the player defeated Cruel King. They expect him to surrender the ICE DAGGER and allow them to explain how important it is to let Player have it.
Cruel King kneeled in front of his mighty throne, his hand and weight relying on his golden cane. His breath was quickened and shallow.
Player's mouth opened and their legs tried to take a step but it stopped.
The King had the look of something Player couldn't decipher. Shame? Fear? Regret?
But they knew what it meant when they locked eyes.
Cruel King's form turned completely white, fell and shattered completely except the ICE DAGGER. The room still has the chills as before, just now it started to make their knees numb.
They yelped and clutched their head in a panic. Player didn't want this. Their body still reacting to fear as they scan the ice blocks on the floor.
What would everyone think of them? What would this Kingdom do without Him? What would that make of them?
Doesn't matter, they let their greed get the best of them. They killed the King in cold blood colder than the entire Blackrock castle itself. And it already says a lot about them.
Player checked if their were any knights watching. 'Trying to avoid responsibility, eh? Escaping, just like that?' Thoughts raced against them and it ached.
'You're the supposedly Hero! Feel a little proud. The ICE DAGGER needs a wielder y'know?'
The ICE DAGGER made Player look at what they've done. They can't help feel disgusted and malicious at IT. A strong urge to take and break IT.
He wanted what was best for his dear kingdom. His loyal servants, his precious villagers. It was not his fault for being like that.
Tears raced down their cheeks and their throat feels like it's been blocked. Yet they still walked towards the ICE DAGGER.
'No time for tears. It's for the best.'
Lifting IT up felt heavier than the guilt. They should've known better. Player teleported back to Bizville and slept in Terry's bed. Luckily, the penguin accepted their request after whatever he saw on their face. They need some time to readjust after the recent events.
The Hero successfully brought the ICE DAGGER to Shedletsky. That's all that matters. This is only the beginning.
