Chapter 1: The Blame

Chapter Text

January 13, 2012-
Camp Haft-Blood-
Nico's Perspective:

I was with my boyfriend when I heard shouting. I mean the Hunter's did show up so, it was bound to happen eventually. It kind of sounds like Thalía so it's possible that a creep didn't get scared off.

Carebear, "You should probably go make sure she doesn't kill anyone Neeks." I hug Will before answering, "Yeah, probably." I reluctantly leave the cabin heading to were I heard Thalia. I wasn't really paying attention to her words... until she said, "...Bianca's and Zoë's Deaths were Your Fault Percy! ..."

I stopped dead in my tracks, as I could felt rage coursing through my veins. Bianca didn't even blame Percy for her death. Hell, she asked him to prevent me from going down a dark path. Well, she didn't exactly ask, but she forced him to watch me do stupid things so that he would try to stop me...

Why on Olympus, she would even be sayin... Jason... Does she blame Percy for Jason's death? That's not even remotely fair. If anything, she should be blaming Apollo. If not Caligula...

I didn't catch what Annabeth said, but based on her face, I'm assuming it's worse, because Percy just ran to the stables... I could feel myself sternly walk towards the both of them and I'm not sure if the shadows were collecting around me or not but once I got to Thalia, I definitely slapped her hard.

"HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT! Jason's death wasn't Percy's fault! Neither was Bianca's... and if you ever insist that again, I will drag you to the underworld like you should have been 12 years ago!"

That definitely struck a nerve in Thalia. She was about to speak before I open a crack in the ground and a dragons skeleton emerged.

(yes Nico can do that... read the Sun and the Star)

I spoke once more, "Both of better hope I can stop Percy from doing something. All three of you will work right because if he does, I will personally drag you both to Tartarus, even if I have to fight the Fates themselves to do it."

I rushed to the stables as I saw Percy shoot out of the stable door on the back of blackjack. I ran to the nearest Pegasus, grabbing its jaw and looking at dead in the eyes commanding, "Look, Your Prince is in danger, and I have somewhere I need to be and you're not gonna get in the way, correct."

The Pegasus shook its head as I climbed on its back. "Get!" The Pegasus took off following blackjack.

~2 Minutes Later-

There was getting really thin up here, and I knew I had to focus on the death trance in order to remain conscious. I know Percy was having a hard time as well because I could definitely hear the Pegasus I was writing, beginning to pant heavily.

On the bright side, I was getting closer and closer, and I could see Percy slumped on blackjack as the sun was starting to go down. Just as I made it to blackjack, I saw what looked to be a floating island in a cloud, as I pulled blackjack and directed my Pegasus to the little bit of brick in front of the door of this palace on this floating island.

Both Pegasi landed rough as they were completely winded, as I use the last bit of my strength, knock on the door before I collapsed.
