Chapter Text
den stood in the entrance to the cafeteria his best friend Sarah He had just put in the wedding dress he borrowed from his mother, a beautiful white gown with a train that reached a foot behind him. The whole event had been set up as the senior prank, the two Aiden and Clark were going to get married by Jesus and everyone was going to be dressed by rednecks. Aiden was kinda curious about guys, he’d never been with one but he had always wondered.
The music started, and Aiden begins walking out.
Aiden walked to the center of the commons behind him was the bronze statue of the tiger, the mascot of the school. [boy 1] slowly walked up to the alter made of cardboard and he took his place next to his “fiancé” . Aiden felt his face get warmer as he saw Clark ,he was wearing a way too big tank top showing off his chest and arms, he was also wearing oversized Jorts leaving his underwear waistband in plain view.
The officiate “Jesus” walked out and began speaking
“We gather today to join these two in holy matr-matrimo-matromanny oh wait hang on mat-ri-mony. There we go”
the crowd laughs and so do the boys.
“These two souls have known each other longer than the beer in the back of my fridge has known me. Ya know, some say only god can judge, unfortunately the cop still gave me a ticket”
The crowd laughs again, by now many have pulled out their phones and began recording
Jesus speaks again “well are you two ready for your vows?”
The boys nod, Aiden’s view again goes to clark’s waistband again. Clark had to get a better grip on the oversized shorts and [boy 1] got a better glimpse of Clark’s underwear Aiden’s face got redder and his grip tightened on the makeshift bouquet he was holding
“Do you both promise in sickness in health and when drunk and sober and when you both get evicted from your trailer. And with the utmost promise to abandon your kids in a couple years”
“We do” say the boys
“So then,Do you Aiden Cruz take
Clark Evans as your lawfully wedded husband”
“I do”
“And do you Clark Evans take
Aiden Cruz as your lawfully wedded husband”
“I do”
“then by the power vested in me by dear old dad I pronounce you married!! You may now kiss the bride”
There were those words Aiden had felt so nervous about “kissing the bride”
Aiden wasn’t quite sure what to do. He opted to kiss Clark on the cheek but when he leaned in Clark backed away and shook his head.
Aiden was a little disappointed and frowned at the other, after all that’s what they had practiced the night before and the fake reception. At that precise moment of Aiden ’s pout Clark snatched Aiden by the front of the dress and laid him back like they were dancing and he kissed Aiden, Aiden froze for a second and then kissed back. Both getting redder
The gasp from the crowd could be heard from the third floor, and then everyone screamed with delight.
Aiden was still in shock even when Clark picked him up bridal style and carried him to the cafeteria, finally when they separated
Aiden and Clark were out of breath.
Clark grabbed his bag which was on the table where they stood. [boy 1] stood there utterly confused and scarlet in the face, contrasting the white dress he was still in. Making him look like a cake with a bright red cherry on-top.
Clark stood there less red but equally as shocked, not realizing that after making out with his friend he would have to answer questions.
“So umm w-what finals do you have coming up?” Aiden said nervously to the man who just made out with him unplanned
“Uh I think I have calculus and art today, my other class is gym so that’s not really a final”
“Ah yea that’s right you told me” Aiden says while still tasting Clark in his mouth, he decided to savor that taste. He discovered that he rather liked it.
“So uhh I’ll talk to you later then?”
“Sure yea!” Aiden hurriedly took the dress off and put it back on the hangar, he then rushed off to put it in a teachers room who had previously agreed to keep it for him.
The bell rings and [boy 1] rushes to his English class, Aiden arrives and sits down, the most he knows is that he will have to write an essay about whatever bullshit source is given on the website.
Clark goes to his calculus class and sits down, the class gets a couple minutes to study for the final with the study guide that had been provided by the teacher. He flips through it for a while then decides that he will do just fine without it.
The day passes normally with both the boys, nothing unusual or irregular. Besides the occasional question from different people of WHY DID THEY MAKE OUT!?!?
Clark responds with
“It was planned out, it didn’t mean anything”
Aiden responds with
“Uh,umm I-i” and runs away redder than a cherry
After the day of tests and questions both boys return to their homes
Aiden hangs the wedding dress in his mom’s closet and heads to his room, he throws his bag on the floor and flops onto his bed letting out a loud sigh. Aiden pulls out his phone and decides to text Clark.
“Hey, you awake or did you already fall asleep for a nap”
Clark responds “I’m awake, whats up?”
“Well I was going to ask, did you want to come over?”
“Sure”
Clark tells his parents where he’s going and walks to his best friends house.
Clark gets to Aiden’s house and walks in, a quite normal occurrence since they’ve been friends so long.
“Hey, whats up?”
Aiden sits in his bed, distinctly remembering the taste of his “best friend’s” saliva
“Uhh I was going to ask you… why did you kiss me?”
