pangi had learnt early on that paranoia was fundamental to survive in lifesteal, to survive in any world where lives where at stake.
no matter how laid back he seemed or how it looked as if he wasn’t paying attention. he knew everything and that’s what made people avoid him.
much like hannah, clown and the other life-stealers on the realm. he had a look of bloodlust and distrust towards those around him.
it had taken him almost a month on the realm to be able to comfortably walk around spawn without potions in his inventory bar.
it had taken him even longer to be able to sleep in his house at spawn. All due to what lifesteal taught him, what it engraved into his head.
And that’s what scared him the most, he couldnt trust anyone immediately, not able to function like a regular player. Even Fit who was a 2B2T player was able to become integrated with the server faster than he did, a player who should be worse than him managed to be… normal.
of course, there was no exception to his distrust, ever. he always held some paranoia to everyone, even if he trusts them-
“pangi!”
maybe there was an exception. pangi turned and saw lukey, the dumb face that plagued his thoughts.
“what?” he asked, snapping out of his thoughts about lifesteal.
“i was thinking, we fill the castle with immortal fish with no water” lukey smiled, in that way that screamed hamster.
“dude- are you drunk?”
was pangi’s first thought. trying to make sense of how a person could think of that.
“actually where would we get immortal fish?”
“bob! he managed to make a fish immortal, so i thought it would be funny to just fill the castle with them"
pangi gave an exasperated look to lukey, quietly wondering how a man so idiotic became someone he releyed on.
"but why?"
he asked as he moved to sit on a chest.
"payback for flooding the cathedral. i onow you are mad about it, so whats better than causing a problem they cant get rid off."
lukey grins, the stupid smile causing his eyes to shut slightly.
"your so stupid" he laughs exasperatedly.
lukey stuck his tounge out at him, his hand on his hip.
"dont diss me because you aint me mister. now im going to go find some fish for bob to make immortal, come if you wish pangolin boy"
lukey turns and walks out of pangi's house. leaving the pangolin with a fond smile on his face.
he truly wondered how he somehow trusted lukey enough had become an execption for everything he believed
