Friendship bracelets were almst as good as flowers, Peony decided.

Work Text:

Peony, Penny, Vincent, and Jas were all sitting on the rugs in Gunther’s library, surrounded by classical, inspiring books and new, exciting stories. Before them was a pile of beads and strings, with some freshly picked daisies scattered in the mix.

Jas had her tongue stuck out in concentration, as she wove purple and yellow thread together, with matching beads. Vincent was shifting on his heels, but happily sifting through the pile of flowers Peony brought over from Meadow Farm. Penny was alternating between making her own bracelet, orange and pink, and checking up on the children. Peony was weaving its bracelet like a daisy chain, staring intently at the links.

She knocked on Leah’s door, a soft sound Leah knew accompanied her partner’s arrival.
“Peony,” she opened the door, and Peony sat down on Leah’s bed alongside her, “how was your day?”
“I helped Penny’s classes, which was quite nice. The rain does reduce farm tasks,” it sighed, “how was your day?”
Leah smiled, “I made some progress on the newest sculpture- that driftwood you brought me is wonderful!”
Peony suddenly perked up, “Oh!”

It reached into its pocket and pulled out a small bracelet, orange and green woven together like a fire in a forest, with a daisy pride of place.
Leah slid it onto her wrist, eyes impossibly soft, “Thank you”
