Chapter 1: Whose the beautiful, bitchy girl?

Chapter Text

"For once in your life, could you just focus on the meeting rather than, that?"
Rover exclaimed sharply towards Miso, who kept on sketching during an apparent council meeting, I guess she had a thing for sketching? I wonder what she's sketching though, maybe ----?

"Yeesh, fine, why're you so up-tight like Ma-" Said the voice, also known as Mis-

"Don't even." Rover replied sharply, cutting her off, with of course her trademarked aloof voice.
And that was the only relevant conversation of the meeting. Outside of the HiCOM-Council room, was loud chattering in the halls, people laying around the classrooms and some going back to class as the bell rung with harmony. The students filed into their classes, one by one.

"Yo, jackass." One of the students from exclaimed towards Echika Hieda, a junior-student, who recently transferred to Olympus.

Echika looked towards the incoming voice and recognized her as a person from the same class as Echika.
"U-uh, hey!" Echika stuttered horribly at the sudden call-out. "You're in my class.. right?" Echika spoke, softly. She was born as a soft-speaker and oh-so recently moved into Tokyo because her parents rushed her over there. So, here she is!

"Yeah, the name's Frame, you're the, let me guess, girl from [---]? Did you manage to find out where the canteen is?" Frame replied to Echika in a jokingly matter, as every new-transfer never knows the route to the canteen as campus is huge.

"U-uhh, what's that, supposed to mean..?" Echika replied softly, having no idea what Frame is saying.

"Don't sweat it, everyone misses where the canteen is." Frame replied, having gone through this God knows how many times by now and she was seemingly keen on Y/N not knowing where it was.

"I- found it, though..? What's up with it?" Echika replied, albeit timidly. She really didn't have any idea what Frame was talking about, this school and their environment man-

"Oh, congrats then. Anyways, you're lucky to be in my class, everyone wants to be in the same class as me." Frame snickered at the end of her sentence, she was the most popular person on campus anyways, who wouldn't want to be in the same class as her?

The both of them finally entered class, and Echika finding her seat next to Frame, she was calm to be with someone she some-what, knew..?

Class ended with the last ring of the bell, and there walked Echika with Frame and her friend-group. Walking down the halls, holding her bag tightly to her chest, shy and timid as she's never been in Tokyo, ever. Echika was mentioned by Frame, looked their way and-!

Echika bumped into someone. Would she finally experience forbidden love in this all-girls high school? Is this the peak of her new life in Neo-Toky-

"Apologies." Came an aloof and cold voice, snapping Echika out of her thoughts.

"U-uh! I-it's okay!" Echika replied automatically, thinking it would be some junior, she looked up and found that it was the great mysterious, long-haired beauty! She was bound to be in love with this girl, already planning their marriage at a beautiful church in-

"Look where you're fucking going." The mysterious beauty replied sharply to her.

Wait wait wait wait. What? Echika was stunned. On the ground with no one to help her, and Frame's friends snickering at her. She couldn't have her reputation ruined at the instant of her new-coming. Who was this mysteri- no, this rude cunt? Who was she to talk to me like-

"Hey Echika, you okay?" Frame said to the now-fallen Echika, once again cutting her from her thoughts. She was flushed red, either from anger or that she was irritated that she absolutely cursed her, out?

"Yes I'm fucking OKAY." Echika screamed at Frame, fuming to the point that her ears were red.

"What's gotten with you Echika?" Frame said cautiously, a minor part of it asking if she's okay and a major part of it, asking if she hates her now.

"I don't want to talk about it, FRAME." Echika responded sharply. Grabbing everything that she dropped and storming the hell out of there. Echika was embarrassed, what did she do wrong, who was that girl? Who did she think she was, why-

Oh. It was her, the mysterious girl. She was with other friends, and one person stood out. Wait, is that- Kami, the only person she knew from that huddle of students the rest being the student prefects, the same god-damn prefects oh-so nicely welcomed her? There's no way that CUNT is apart of the prefects, why did she act so rude to her, why am I the one that's getting the cold shoulder, why did-

"Echika! What's wrong with you?"  Frame exclaimed towards Echika, who was looking at the group with some serious envy and anger in her eyes. Echika, who was staring at the girl who bumped into her, glared at Frame beside her, then looked away before replying to her. "I don't want to talk about it. Please leave me be." Echika replied immediately, while ignoring Frame's gaze altogether.

Echika stormed toward the talking group, grabbing the girl who she bumped into earlier and pulling her out of the circle.

"Heeyyyaaa guyss." Said Echika as she kept on pulling the tall, mysterious girl down with impeccable force.  "Whatcha doin'?"

"Hey hey hey, what did Magma do to you?" Said one of the voices that came from the group. She was stunned because why did this girl randomly pop out of no where and tried to find beef with someone?

Oh. So this is the fucking cunt that dared ruin her reputation on day-one of this school? Great. Who knows what'll happen next. "Oh, so her name's Magma, is it?"  Echika replied towards the incoming voice from the circle. She looked up after she said her sentence, and immediately recognising that face as Wan. One of the few whose welcomed her along side Kami.

"Why, did this insolent bastard of an incompetent father, bump into me, and curse me out for it? Hmmm? The person whose shoulder was being weighed down, also known as Magma, turned toward Echika, who was weighing her down, asked-

"Why the fuck are you holding onto my shoulder, miss Echika Hieda?"

Magma said towards her. Magma was known for her incredibly bad temper, and set a record in their school for being the one whose sent the most people to the disciplinary office, and also the one who hates almost every new-comer, she thinks that they're idiots and don't know anything.

"Why the fuck, did you bump into me and tell me eto 'look where I'm fucking going?' hmm? Why don't you tell me that?" Echika replied instantly and harshly, even though she didn't mean to. She let go of her shoulder and just walked away without hearing Magma's side of the conversation.

Echika, walking back to her apartment mumbling about something along the lines of 'stupid idiot' & 'time-waster', looking at her feet walk in perfect synchronization with her hands.
She takes a break, takes a gander and stares at the now-resting sunset. Street-lights flip on together at the same time and-
Hey, it's that same girl, but she's, being hit on? Her, the cold and temper-ish girl, getting hit-on? Oh wow, like she'd ever get anyone. Who would even-

"No." That same voice. The same cold and sharp voice. Coming from that same spot. Did she just reject the only chance of relationship of her life? Who'd ever like her bitchy attitude and bitchy self? Like anyone would.

Echika ignored it, and kept on going to her small loft she'd call her humble-abode. She wouldn't get all hot and bothered because some girl told her to watch her fucking way, even though she wasn't in the wrong at all? Like-
Okay yeah no, she is getting all hot and bothered.

The following day, Echika found herself being more integrated into the quiet, background character life. With some extroverted friends here and there, like Frame and Endmin. She would live happily ever after with no relationship at all right? Because of her ruined reputation in front of the most annoying friend-group of all time, she'd surely have no one else to talk with in this school. Why is she even imagining such a-

"Hey, you're Echika Hieda from, 2A-1, was it?" Said a voice that came from behind Echika.

"EEK!" Echika had been startled to death as the voice came from behind her. She was more focused on the fact that she made on that scream rather than onto who the person that called her out was. Who actually was that? Who- And if the heavens were listening, the girl replied

"The names Miso, one of your seniors!" The voice, now identified as Miso, came out. Echika swore she'd seen her somewhere with the HiComm Student Council. She had to be apart of them right? That aside, she looked, actually really cute in that dress. Echika prepared herself, before saying,

"Yeah, it's Echika, Echika Hieda, are you apart of the HSC perchance?" Said Echika, with all of her confidence and practice of conversation put into one. Miso looked intrigued that she'd remember such a useless piece of information that most people would overlook.
"Mm! I knew it! Are you sketching? That looks really good! I wish-" And she went on and on about sketching.

Echika was left dumbfounded. She wasn't prepared for a bombardment of compliments, hell she wasn't even ready for this in the first place, why does it have to be right now of all times,

Echika, thinking of something to reply with, came up with "I-uhh, thanks! I, guess, I didn't really know how to draw until last year. Do you draw or, something?" Echika said. She was surprised with herself for being able to come up with a sentence in freakishly quick time.

And Miso, replied insanely quick with- "Yeah! I draw a lot, in fact, Rover even told me to stop sketching one time because I was, on-FIRE!!! You don't even know girl, like-" She didn't stop talking from then on, Echika was left at a stop. She had no idea what to do. She was never ready. So she just came up with nonsense and sputtered it randomly
"Uhh, thanks!!" Echika said with no thought behind that.

So they talked, talked. Talked. A lot. Now they consider each other friends. People say Echika and Miso are meant to be, since Miso is laidback and has never talked to anyone that much before. So, it probably is meant to be!

Now they're listening to Laufey, specifically 'Bored'. In the library, sharing wired-earphones, sitting close together. I don't think this is what friends, do? Whatever, it doesn't matter. Miso is cute and has a really nice personality. Is it platonic, is it romantic? I guess, so?

Just as she was going down the spiral of her thoughts, someone, specifically the lady next to Echika, called her out- "Hey, earth to Echika? Are you mesmerized in the rhythm of Laufey?" Miso called her out, hard, and she slipped back into reality.
"U-uh, yeah yeah! I've always been here, what's poppin'! Haha," Echika said on a whim. She couldn't let Miso know she had a crush on her. Why'd Miso even have to do this? Why why why-

"As I was saying, can you sketch me? I love your art style."
What? Oh heavens, whose been sacrificed to give her this moment in life? Why does it have to be the one who is apart of the student council and why does it feel so hot in this room? Why does it suddenly feel like this room is so big? I'm gonna decline her request and this'll all be done for, I won't have to-

And suddenly, she sputters a simple "I- Okay!" Echika said accidentally. She didn't mean to say that. Oh shit. Oh fuck.
Now she's at Miso's house, sketching her while she strikes a pose. Every stroke of her pencil and an additional stroke of the pen, she's finished sketching Miso. But she's more scared on the fact that she's inside Miso's apartment.

Echika somehow survived that. Now she's at home, eating dinner with her parents them not knowing that she developed a crush on a woman, a woman that is specifically more senior than her. How can she tell them that she's so deep inside the closet that she's fallen for a woman that she met just a few hours ago? How? She's dumbfounded.

And what happens next, is for another day. This is the future Echika had dreamt of ever since she was a kid.
