Work Text:
Dear parrot,
If you find this then I’m most likely dead.
After you chucked the spyglass, I rushed to collect it the first moment I could, but I was too little, too late. It might’ve despawned but I hope that you have the symbol of our friendship on you anyway. I know that it’s stupid and you probably hate me but still my hope remains that deep in your bitter hatred still remains a hint of past affection for me.
It wasn’t meant to be like this. I still mourn what our end kingdom could’ve been, you acting as king, ever the ruler, with me as your second in command. Everything went wrong the moment the invisible mafia attacked.
When you were stuck underneath the endstone and I had no idea whether you were safe or not, my heart stopped. The idea of you getting hurt while I watch helplessly, still lurks in the back of my mind, preying on my consciousness every time I attempt to shut my eyes.
I now realize that I had no right to take all danger from you without your permission but I know that there is no going back on my past actions. I’m going to take you down to the secret room under paragon soon, even though I know that you would rather be take your last breath than lose the ability to make choices for yourself. Sometimes other people just need to be selfish for you, to ensure your everlasting safety.
I don’t know what happens from here because (obviously) I don’t own a time machine, but no matter the outcome please don’t feel guilty. My actions have consequences and, whilst I don’t regret trying to protect you from death, I hope that you still find it in yourself to forgive me.
Whenever you think of me, please think about who I was before. Not the director, not the overprotective version of me, but your best friend, the best version of me.
It’s all yours,
Wifies
