Chapter Text
You sat at your laptop, and opened a new tab. You heard about The Knocker mod recently, and decided to see why everyone was thirsting over it.
You type “The Knocker Minecraft” and google pulled up a few pictures. Some of him in game, and a lot of fanart.
‘Okay, I see the appeal’
You come across an image of a sign that says “Click me” thinking nothing of it, you click on it. It pulls up related images, and you find another one similar to the one you just clicked on. You click again. Finding more. Out of boredom you keep clicking. After a minute you started to feel dizzy. You felt your body lurch forward, your chair groaning as your weight shifted.
By the time your head touched your keyboard, you were out.
When you came to. You laid in a clearing. The full moon in the dead center of the sky, which was full of stars. You blinked.
‘What…?’
You slowly sat up, and looked around. The forest was pretty… But how did you get here…? You rise to your feet, and look around more. You hear a rustle, and whip around. A low groan was heard, and suddenly you felt your hairs stand up. It wasn’t human… you stepped back, and your eyes widened in horror.
A zombie. You turned and ran through the forest. Hearing more than one creature as you caught their attention. You ran out of the forest and into open plains. You whipped around and looked at the forest line.
Nothing… But… How…? You tensed, as you heard soft footsteps behind you. They stopped and you felt someone breathing down your neck. You froze. You couldn’t do anything. Your body just wouldn’t move. Of all the times to have the freeze response.
A small sound escaped, as you felt the cold edge of a blade drag down your arm. Not cutting. Threatening. You felt whatever was behind you lean down by your ear.
“This is the part where you run.”
You fled as fast as possible, back into the forest you just came out of. You didn’t care about the mobs right now. You cared about getting away. You were suddenly stopped when you ran into something firm.
“Oof.” You fell back and landed on your butt. As you looked up, you felt your vocal cords tense up, ready to scream. Then-
“Who the fuck?” Their red eyes met yours they wore a black hoodie and a striped scarf. He frowned and scoffed. “Fuckin loser. Runnin from my brother?”
“What-?” You barely finished the word when he interrupted, something moving on his head as he spoke. Were those- ears?
“Looks like me.”
You swallow. “I-I didn’t see-” He looked up and grinned.
“Ah, speak of the devil.” A tail you didn’t notice he had, flicked behind him. You didn’t hear the footsteps, just a voice. Lower than the guy in front of you, with a little rasp.
“You gonna fight me if I…?” The cat man in front of you laughed softly.
“Nah, I don’t care.” His tail swished behind him. And suddenly you were up against a tree. Being held by the throat by a similar looking man. He didn’t have cat ears. Wore almost the exact same hoodie, had a knife hitched on his belt, and an axe in his off-hand.
You grabbed at his hand and tried to kick. He didn’t even flinch. He chuckled low. “Nice try. That’s not gonna work…” He lifted his axe. You barely had time to brace yourself before you felt it chop into your skull. Killing you instantly.
You rose with a start, and looked around. Back in the forest where you first started. You got up and looked around, hearing a twig snap, you whipped around. Tensing when you saw a third figure. This one wore a grey hoodie instead of black. With a black turtleneck showing under his chin. His shoulders were slumped, and he seemed to be fidgeting with his hands.
You moved back and he turned his head away, then back at you. He cleared his throat.
“I won’t… hurt you.” His voice sounded softer. You pursed your lips, slowly stepping forward, glancing back, then refocusing back on him.
“How do I know for sure…?” He raised his hands a little. And moved back. Now leaning on a tree. He stuffed his hands in his hoodie pocket.
“Look I… I’m sorry about them… I’ll- do my best not to bother you… if you want…” He glanced down at his feet. You pursed your lips, and moved forward.
“Alright. If you’re not like them… stick around I guess…” He glanced up. You tensed as you heard heavy footsteps. The one in front of you lifted his head more.
“Kno-” You heard a low sound come from behind you. Then tensed as you felt the tip of an axe touch the back of your head.
The guy in front of you moved forward a little, then stopped and shrank back. Likely receiving a scowl from who you assumed was his brother.
“Hm… I think we’ll have fun with you.” You opened your mouth to ask what the hell he was talking about, but he lifted the axe again and brought it down on your skull.
