A Wielder and their Stolen Sword.

Summary:

A pile of oneshots with Mysterious Figure and my au version of Illumina. MF somehow pulls a literal deity!!!!

Notes:

This is how I believe the first interaction between Illumina and Mysterious Figure would have went.

Chapter 1: First Meeting.

Chapter Text

Illumina rested upon the pedestal which held its sword, carefully preening its wings. It had been so many years since it last had a worthy wielder, but now it was just heavily guarded due to its power. None of the guards even bothered to talk to it!...not that they could see its form anyway, but still!

There had been this one guard in training who would sometimes come into Illumina’s chamber to speak with it, even if they couldn’t see it. However, they didn’t come around anymore. And Illumina was lonely again, especially after being separated from its brethren.

The sound of swords clanging together outside its chambers caught Illumina’s attention. The guards never sparred outside when on duty, they had separate training grounds for that. With that in mind, what could be going on? Illumina could only wonder, not being able to travel that far away from its pedestal. These ponderings were answered, as the doors to the chambers were forced open and a figure stood in the doorway, wearing a purple dominus and only having one arm. Most who entered were a waste of time to test if they were worthy…but this one was different. Despite knowing communication was most likely futile, Illumina spoke anyway.

“A fascinating creature, you are. And you defeated all those guards yourself? Those personally appointed by Shedletsky?”

“Indeed I have.”

Illumina was pleasantly surprised to discover that this figure could hear them.

“You are quite beautiful, Illumina. I never expected the swords to have physical forms attached to them.”

“How flattering. However, flattery will get you almost nowhere with me. Strength and power are what I value.”

The figure approached, kneeling in respect.

“I am well aware. However, I also know you long for more than just this dull room.”

Illumina’s wings flared slightly. That was a sensitive topic.

“I mean no harm in that statement. I have made this trek completely alone. Fought my way through every guard, with nothing but this sword. Just for you, your majesty.”

Illumina seemed to calm down at the usage of such a title. No one other than its brethren had referred to it with a title like that.

“What would I get out of traveling with you?”

“A proper view of the outside world, a chance to show your power…and an audience with David Bazsucki. Builderman himself.”

“Builderman?”

Illumina cocked its head to the side, almost like a curious bird. It thought the offer over…before smiling slightly and reaching its hand out.

“Rise. You have shown not only strength and power, but resolve. Not many have the opportunity to just…find Builderman himself. I shall travel with you, aid you in your quest.”

The figure took Illumina’s hand, standing before respectfully kissing Illumina’s hand.

“You shan’t be disappointed, your majesty.”

“I don’t doubt that.”
