Bangkok is a very touristic city that attracts many people in the world,most specifically tourists since Bangkok is known to be a very beautiful city.
Film has the chance to work there as an artist in a studio or more specifically as a painter.
She's almost 20 this year and her birthday is in 2 weeks which is very soon.
This morning,Film only planned to sleep till the next morning or even 2 days later..But someone decided that it was a good idea to not let her sleep and force Film to wake up by spam calling her.
"Fiiilmm..!!!!! Get up right now!! Please!!! That will be the last time I'll call you this early,promise!!" another voice then joined in " Yeah,get up Film..Love tried to call you many times,come to our usual breakfast moment store"
Film sighed hearing the two of their voices and reluclantly agreed because she knew Love would keep calling until she said yes. She got out of bed a few minutes later,after questionning all her life choices that led to her being friends with Milk and Love.
As Film finished preparing herself 10 minutes later,her phone vibrated again,probably Love telling her to be faster,but she still checked to be sure and of course she was right.
Love’s message was word by word what Film told herself Love would send : “Fiiiiiiilm!!!!! Did you finish preparing??? Be fasterrrr,I can’t wait all day….”
Film eventually went out of her apartment around 10:30am. And arrived at a coffee shop 5 minutes later…
“Over here Film!!!! Heyy!! You look..nevermind I forced you out anyway..” Film turned around as she got called by her friend and walked up to her table,she then said “I hope you at least ordered for me my breakfast” with a small smile that screamed : if you didn’t I’ll kill you.
Love quickly nodded and reassured her that she did,Love didn’t want her life to end that quickly,so along with her nod she gestured to Film to sit.
A waiter soon came by to give them their orders and Milk started rambling about her university life and how exhausting it is. Film just listened and nodded sometimes,then out of nowhere Milk asked “I’ve been wondering Film…How’s your love life going??”
Film stared at her for 3 seconds before saying “Milk,you know well that it’s nonexistent. Why are you still asking?”
“I thought there would be updates from you since its been..what?..almost 5 months I didn’t ask you?”
“Milk! Stop asking her that,you know she’ll tell us” as Love said it,she smacked Milk’s arm “Okay,okay,I’m sorry..I won’t ask again” Milk sighed after saying that,earning another smack…
As the three of them finished their breakfast,Love looked like she suddenly remembered something and said instantly “Girls,have you been following the news??” that earned a frown on Film’s face “What do you mean? Which news?? Is it something we all should be worried about? I didn’t know you started caring about news now..” Love’s face dropped a bit hearing Film’s comment “I didn’t need you to tell me this,plus who said your info isn’t outdated right Milk?” Milk just nodded along so Love continued to talk “Since you don’t know well,the news is that you are forced to come with us to celebrate your birthday Film!! In..1 week because I’m unfortunately busy on the week of your birthday….I’m sorry Film”
“Love,it’s okay,only the end of what you said because who told you I wanted to go out?”
“Uhm…I decided sooo..You’re obligated Film!!” Film sighed as she heard Love’s answer,she was always obligated to go out anyways.. So she only nodded in acceptance which made Love smile so brightly she could shine
When they eventually finished their breakfast,Film parted ways and went to her studio,for an 5 minutes walk,where she could see the cars going,the big trafic it creates whenever its early morning and of course people just walking in the streets. She thought of the painting she’s working on right now : someone facing the background which was Pluto,a long forgotten planet. She didn’t know where the inspiration came from but she felt a very big connection to this one work.
Eventually she was at the entrance of her studio,the light was on,she already knew who would be inside,so she didn’t bother and went to her own part of the studio to finish her work.
A voice then called her,she turned and as expected saw her studio partner,Ohm.
“What’s up Ohm? Do you need anything?”
“Well..I kind of need your judgement on the work I just finished,if you don’t mind of course and that it doesn’t bother you much”
“Oh,no it’s okay you didn’t bother me much” Film stood up and noticed that Ohm smiled while leading her the way to his part of the studio.
As they both entered,Film saw that Ohm’s room was..well organised in a way but also so messy that there was no word to describe his room,but Film brushed it off because she didn’t come here to comment how his room was something indescribable.
Ohm’s talent to draw was as always impressive,but this time it made Film speechless for a few seconds
“Wow,Ohm that’s an amazing one,it’s really impressive how you drew this art,honestly masterpiece right here”
“Don’t make it sound like it came down from heaven because yours are definitely better”
Their conversation would always end up with both of them start praising eachother’s work and it would always last at least 10 minutes…
And in the end,they both ended up going back to finish their work because of the time that passed,but this time Ohm called her again,he said it was urgent.
“Film,Milk called me and Love tried to reach your phone to tell us to watch the news,they said that some sort of monsters were lurking outside?..Like not in Bangkok but you know,the northern region not in the center city yet?” as she heard this,she couldn’t help but just be confused,so she agreed to watch the news and hope it wasn’t too bad
The TV turned on and immediately the news appeared,as if it was really important and maybe dangerous,on the TV was a quite old journalist maybe in their early 50’s
“Hello? Hello?..Yes here journalist Jam,I’m in the northern region right now and for now I don’t see these ‘monsters’ yet,so I’ll ask questions to the locals,excuse me? Hello,may I know if you saw any kind of weird monsters here??” as the journalist asked the person in front of him had a quite frightened expression and the only thing that person could do was nod,so the journalist continued asking questions
“What did it resemble? Did it kill anyone? Where did you last see it?”
“I..It...was,uhm..like..like an human!! B..but,I..I don’t know!! I hided..and..i..its scary!” the poor local was trembling and traumatized,the journalist apologized and thanked the person before leaving.
Film turned off the TV after and got up,leaving the room not wanting to hear more of this. Ohm immediately tried to ask
“Wait Film..Where are you going? We didn’t finish watching yet!”
“Are Milk and Love pranking us or what? I’m going to meet them,come if you want”
"Wait,I don't think it's a prank though but yeah I'll go with you to meet them in case these..monsters appears in Bangkok"
Film left before Ohm could finish his sentence,not wanting to hear any more of nonsense today. As Film walked back to the earlier coffee shop,she noticed how there was less cars and even people outside even though it was literally on an hour where there would usually be around thousands of people..Ohm was a few meters behind and always looked right and left.
When they arrived Ohm immediatly runned to Milk and Love's table and exaled in relief while they both were a bit confused. Meanwhile,Film arrived with a much more calmer look,not worried at all about if any of this was true...
